The most recent black driver in the nascar series races was Bill Lester drove for Bill Davis racing, he raced his trucks...Wendell Scott was the first in the south that won a race and didn't get credit till the crowd was gone for the simple fact that he beat a bunch of white boys...I race at my local track I have two records in cars that normally don't compete. I raced a 2.8 v-6 against 305 v-8 and won a 25 lap feature. and I have the record for the fasted recorded lap in a v-6...

@Speedbowl Amen Speedbowl. Wendall was and still is after passing a true professional. What I wouldn't give to see him race one time. I am currently looking for one of his old race cars to restore. I can't race myself any more so I want to pay back the sport that was there for me in a fashion true to me. Reconizing a talented driver that overcame so much to do what he loved.
