Building a Blog in Plone 1/2

I know I'm late to the game here, but after watching this video, I wanted to share my opinions / feedback about Plone...

What's the virtue of making a blog in Plone versus Wordpress? What's the virtue of using Plone entirely? From what I just saw, that thing has to be the most cumbersome, technically-time consuming and over-complicated piece of software I have ever seen. Every Plone website I have ever visited has too much overhead, poor markup, and usually looks like it's been made in the 90s.
