Just take note that Charlie's bike was fine, and he is the experienced rider. So basically if you don't over pack the bike, and know what you're doing on the saddle, that BMW will take you anywhere you want to go, and won't fail you.

That area looks so beautiful, one of the most stunning places you could ever travel true i'm sure.

I think i would have preferred a smaller KTM, maybe 690 LC4. Those can make it through alot of shit, and you dont need help to pick it up when you drop it. If that little russian 2 stroke can do it, im sure a 690 would do it better.

I don't think the KTM would have been able to carry their gear. The frame would have snapped much earlier than the BMWs did.

@Avath KTM's are great bikes, but they definitely don't have the guts or build of a BMW- they're just not made to cover these sort of distances and terrain. I think the biggest engine KTM builds for an enduro is something like 990CC's which is quite a bit, but still....
