hey, this was really helpful! just sayin' :) gives me hope, I've been thinking of investing in a wig eventually for various costume needs but I wasn't sure if I could do it with as much hair as I have, seeing this I think I'm okay (mine's thick and layered, but only down to the middle of my shoulder blades) lol the thing is that I would like a white wig, but I have dark brown hair, do you think that that combination could work?
@sugarlessfreak Most of the wigs I own came from Amphigory (google search it), which has both an excellent inventory with broad selections and low prices. All of the wigs they've sent me ended up being comfortable, high-quality, durable, and easy to style, so I highly recommend them, but I've also heard you can find some pretty great deals on Ebay, too, as long as you're careful not to buy from fakes. Oh, and wig caps can be bought for $1 at FunFx. :) I wouldn't recommend their wigs, though...
The trouble I have is my hair showing in the back. After a few hours it tends to escape the wig cap. My hair is as long as yours if not a bit longer -- I wouldn't say my hair is very thick but it does have some thickness to it. As for pinning the wig cap (which I'd like to do because it tends to slide) when I attempt to pin it with bobby pins, once I slide on the wig the pins hinder it from going all the way on and tend to stick into it and everything just comes loose. Suggestions?
@ZeXMouse Aaah, yeah, I used to have the same problem... >x<
Over time, I found that if I heavily pinned my hair first (10-15 pins), then applied the wig cap, lightly pinned the wig cap to my hair (only 3-5 pins), then put on the wig and heavily pinned it to both the wig cap and hair beneath (10-15 pins again), everything stayed anchored. <3
@RosetheRobotNinja It's good that you take yourself time for your decision. You have a lot to lose: a lot of beautiful long hair that looks very good on you and suits you very well. So it is good when you take only well-thought decisions so that you minimize the risk of feeling unhappy afterwards. And maybe there is a possibility that in the end you don't have to lose your gorgeous mane :)

Beautiful long hair! Please don't let anyone talk you into cutting it :)
All the best to you :)

@ytb40 Thanks! Actually, I was planning to have it cut to jaw-length later this month. This was sort of my "goodbye to long hair" video. :)
I appreciate your opinion, though. I'll have to think on this a little longer before I make any final decisions. :)
