The chocolate in this was so annoying when I had this on tap. It was almost like Southern Tier's Chokolat, but not as bad.

They both used Belgian chocolate, which makes me think that Belgian chocolate may not be compatible to use for brewing. Perhaps putting in rasberries would help compliment the fruitiness in the Belgian chocolates.

I don't know if I've seen this beer around here or not. Ommegang is one of the few NY beers we get out here. I'd have to see how it compares to Rogue and Southern Tier's versions.

I had this on tap recently and I actually didn't like it that much. Too dry and bitter. You should try Rogue Chocolate Stout or Southern Tier Choklat.
