Hi Joe, you might have seen my comment over on the James Allen forum. I built a simulator in my loft, and it's a full blown motion simulator rather than the static one you tried. Have a look at my youtube videos of it, and the Singapore clip is best
Funny you should say that Joe as i've just started using Sony Vegas Pro myself after finally upgrading from my 9 year old copy of Premiere. Its a fantastic programme and 100 times better than what I was using. If you can get your hands on a full copy, I highly recommend it!

Btw, I used a 30 day trail version of Sony Vegas 7.0 to edit this. It's an awesome piece of kit, lots of lighting effects and cool stuff you can play around with on it. I recomend you give it a try ;)
yeah that is a brilliant program, i had a trial, and managed to use it once before my PC went tits up... got some awesome quality videos out of it, pity my special effects skills are sort of low :(
To get a lot of the on board angles, I first press "Home" then I press the "U" key. From there I can either use the mouse and/or some pre-assigned keys to pan left, right, up, down, zoom in, out etc...
