Northern Exposure was not everyone's cup of tea, but it sure grabbed some of us with its interesting ensemble of characters and quirky storylines. "What is the meaning of my existence?"Joel asks Bernard. That was the theme of the show, a question that no one can answer, but the program put to wonderful use with humor, great dialogue and fun interaction between these unforgettable characters.
ha! Marilyn was just so stoic all the time! what a great character and the contrast between her and joel was great, they had some wonderful writers for that show :)
I've been watching TV since the late 60's i guess and i would have to say this was and is my all time favorite show. i miss it and hope that someday there might be another show that touches me in the ways this show did.
3:35 Is that Stanley from "The Office"?

I think the most surreal character was Rabbi Schulman, when he parachuted into the woods in a DJ. Anyone got any clips of him?

This is HYSTERICAL, and has got to be one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite shows ever!!!
The other one is when Chris goes to the monastery... and the bees!!! Priceless.
