It is because Artemis has a deep character and seems more realistic...how many people of drizzt's character do you see in your friends, family or on the streets? Not many, while most people understand Artemis, he is an extreme version of course but he is sill more understood; due to his individuality, coldness and lack of care. Salvatore made this book so we can understand the characters and feel like we are them...

Thats why I said he is an 'EXTREME' version, have you read exactly what I said? Most people are not murders nor am I but, most of those people with me included are 'individulistic' . And I have forgotten to add one thing, Entreri changes later on in the series, Dont we all change sometime? On the other you see we most ly behve like Entreri ( AND I DONT MEAN KILLING PEOPLE!! ) but when our friends/family/specials are endangered we become more altuistic like drizzt, A BIT.

ok, maybe I have put it in a wrong context, what I meant was that most of people behave like PARTS of his personality, most normal people are not ruthless killers like him but are individualistic, bit ignorant and dont care about anything else than their own butt. Anyways, was it Entreri's choice to become an assassin?No, it was the environment and his situation that forced him; he was a hopeless kid on the viscious streets of Calimport, he changed on the last book so can normal people.

I am not a murder or a killer or a thief...not even a real fighter....but I feel sorry for Entreri because I know how it is when your world turns upside down, I feel sorry of his unfortunate choices which were forced onto him.I believe that murders dont choose to start killing, Its the situation/trauma they had. understanding is the first step to forgiveness. PS : You seem to have a bit old-fashioned look upon Entreri, have you read Road of the Patriach?

honestly no. there are simply too many books and too much ground to cover in my opinion. but then again, thats what they said about lotr and that worked out great, not to mention they are trying all the narnia books at film, so who knows. I think that with soo much stuff and material salvatore goes over in his books, perhaps an animated series, perhaps anime. Thats something that i would love to see some time.
