Elitist is very Sumerian-ish : 'djenty' pre-bend riffs, syncopated breakdowns, proggie chord voicings, etc. more similar to bands such as Veil of Maya, Circle of Contempt
ABR's music is way more simple, they didn't put much complexity in terms of guitar playing, but rather focused on technical drummings. similar to TIJ
And while I'm at that I'm just going to say fuck genres and sub genres of hardcore music. If a band is passionate about what they do and become successful and actually make a career out of music, why should they receive hate? And now all these kids are trying to categorize bands, separating mainstream from underground, but then when an underground band makes it big everyone hates on them. It makes me fucking sick. Listen to the music you like and stop talking shit.

With all of the progresses in music and broadening of styles and super connection through technology, it is amazingly difficult to produce music that really meets the definition of "new." Stop bitching about what things sound like, or how they 'copied' someone else. Of course they copied. And the people they copied copied and so forth, that's how it works. Take influences and tweak them.
Though they do have a very similar sound to ABR, their rhythms and especially their breakdowns are quite different from ABR if you listen close or play guitar.
It always makes me laugh when bands film videos with all their gear in a dessert. So many bands do it and even though I still like them (KsE is my fav band and 'Rose Of Sharyn' is a dessert video) it never fails to amuse me for some reason.
