Fuck MSU, i went their one time for a party, and hated every second of it. I'm glad these motherfuckers got the tear gas. Bunch of kids, who can't handle their alcohol, act like their 16 years old drinking for their first time, and the only reason they go to the school is because there parents had enough money to get them in, not because their intelligent. I 'm a student at MSU, this Cedarfest was bullshit. Everybody there was drunk and causing disturbances. They were even chanting, "We want tear gas!!! We want tear gas!!" Over and over again. They deserved it.

honestly, i think that anyone who has a problem with this is retarded....no one got hurt, with the exception of a few street signs and burning garbage nothing was damaged....i understand that 4000 students having a block party isnt diserable, however launching tear gas at them is just going to turn a block party into a riot where things start to get damaged. All in all it looks like it would have been one bad ass party....at least until the tear gas.

And people are stupid to get pissed at just the students. The media, police, and the students all expected what was going to/ and what did happen. The news was establishing the it as a 'riot' at 11 which wasn't made official by the police til 1:30. Police came ready because they KNEW. Cedar Fest was awesome GO STATE

The assembly was almost completely non destructive, with exception to the few street signs and burning garbage, but regardless, almost all of the tear gas/glass bottle throwing incidents were instigated by the ELPD, and their challenging swat allignments.. they are the real cause of turning this block party into a 'riot'
