That's John Stewart. He joined the Trio after Dave Guard left but his connection with them started much earlier as he wrote many of their earlier songs. Some of the Trio's best songs have John doing lead vocals including: The Reverend Mister Black and Desert Pete. He also had a solo pop hit with: "(There's people out there turning music into )Gold" in the 70s.
Yes, I'm a teacher of English, and I do know a bit of conversational Japanese ("sensei" is just a screen name). But this isn't me singing - it's teacher advocate and singer Tom Ivey. I (Sensei48) am a member of the folk trio Chilly Winds, 12 of whose videos you can see by clicking on the Sensei48 tag above. Tom's a good friend, and I thought this was a great performance and worth sharing.
Ah, my mistake! OK then---I'll watch you and I hope you'll check out my vids on YouTube as well. I just put up my own "Ramblin' Boy". I too am a teacher---of American Studies and Guitar in middle school.
Small correction--John Stewart was not an *original* member of the Kingston Trio, he replaced the late Dave Guard, who was one of the originals, in 1961.
As very well I knew, being a life long fan. But given the fact that only in 1968 has there not been some iteration of the group touring since its inception and most fans regard 1957-67 as "original" in terms of albums, the slight inaccuracy seemed harmless. Stewart did indeed record this song on the Decca NB&J - and I wanted to tout the musicians here in an already overlong description above.
Fellow on the left looks a bit like Johnny Cash! Good rendition.

Konichi-wa! Am I right in presuming "sensei" means you teach Japanese, or at least you teach? Great singin'.
