  • This song is brilliant and applys to so much in Life , in my case it relates so the stifling of innovation but its a song that covers so many negative areas in Today society and it is sad that it only has 523 views, this is seriously something people of todays shallowness need to actually fully comprehend the words, imo this is a stroke of genuis, respect to the singer/writerm you are awesome

  • @MrFoxfire29 Thanks so much for such an in depth comment. Voices of reason are in short supply these days and the closer we get to November the more polarizing and hateful the language becomes. This song was inspired by those who see no shades of gray. They've always been with us. Sometimes they've gotten power and the result is always disastrous. Never trust anyone who is sure they have the answer. Most of the times to prove it they have to kill you.

  • @archtopbrownie Thanks very much for the reply sir, I appreciate your comment but like said this song I could pick out soooo much and relate to todays society and how people who class themselves as doing the correct maybe miss the vital points addressed in this. Every time I listen to this song it gets better and I have linked it on facebook to my friends, keep up the great song writing! Please! You have something good going with that, respectfully David, cant help but be cynical when I think

  • @MrFoxfire29 of the views the likes of lady gaga gets and theres yourself actually making something which is artistic and involving deep independant thought. Good luck in your endevours sir!

  • @MrFoxfire29 And finally I appreciate being labelled as a voice of reason from someone who could write such a song, Thank you :)

  • @archtopbrownie I responded a few replies but it was nice to hear you talk about some of the songs insparations, Also totally agree about extremism as well as non compromising steadfastness, it leads to many troubles and btw if my view are anything to go by your number of views should be way higher than what they currently are, anyway I wont spam you comments section but I am checking out some of your other songs ;

    ;)

  • @MrFoxfire29 Comment all you want. There's plenty of room. Check out the Political Song I sent you but also there are a lot of non-political ones you might enjoy. Dark Side of Love and I just noticed in the margin you can do a playlist that has a lot of good stuff in it. Thanks so much. I am a serious/humorous songwriter and I can use every fan I can get.

  • @archtopbrownie No problem :) I wish you the best of luck, I am 32 years of age but my Dad is 70 and I have linked some of your songs on my facebook and to my Dad; so hes enjoying them now, he kind of knowingly grinned when he heard this one and enjoys it . Anyways thanks and good luck Arch, I am sure through time your songs will shoot up there, tbh I kind of found it by accident, not sure how but am hoping you getenough views that it becomes alot easier for folk that dont know about you to view

  • @MrFoxfire29 I am having a couple of beers and checking out your suggestions now :)

  • @MrFoxfire29 That's great... thanks for all the kind attention you and your Dad are giving me.

  • @archtopbrownie just one other thing, I have been sharing this and also viewed it many times but the views dont seem to be going up?

  • awesome video, awesome playing you got goin here bro! love it! love the singing. faved.

  • Hello:

    Excellent video.

    Best reagrds, JazzmanMalaga

  • @JazzmanMalaga thanks Jazzman.

  • The lyrics, the visual side and the rythm converge to create the perfect way of expressing the ideea behind this song. I think it's amazing.

  • @PartTimeEcoTerrorist Much appreciated. Glad there are some people out there who like this kind of thing.

  • Line me against that wall and shoot me down

  • @PartTimeEcoTerrorist OK but only satirically.

  • ok giimme the chords and lyrics... I need them NOW!!!

  • Cool song....voice and pictures remind me Jack Nickleson....Darrell

  • @w1dvf Thanks Darrell... lots of folks seem to see a Jack Nicholson resemblence. Completely unintentional but glad it worked out that way.

  • Thanks for sending.....interesting...and nicely done...regards....Dave

  • @A297MAN104 Thanks Dave.

  • lite em' up!

  • @phoenixdoubledeuce Okee Dokee.

  • AS A PACIFIST, I find it hard to condone the premise of shoot anyone down, maybe bring them down, throw them out, show them up,& shout them down I could go along with that. lol. PS I know it's all a fun song & all that ,just feel there are too many guns & idiots out there, and they do not need encouragement lol really they don't.( I am giggling by the way.) cos I love you for saying exactly what comes to mind,& I defend to the death your right to shoot em down if you want to. lol David... maybe!!

  • @beachfrontal C'mon David. How would the song work if I sang, "Line up all them traitors and show them up"? (Just messin' with ya) I'm hoping I'm not giving the nuts encouragement. They don't need it. Glad I got giggles from you. Shows we hold a certain satirical bent in common.

  • @archtopbrownie Dear Lance You have me giggling again, Viva satirical bent in common.

  • Reminds me of Dillon!!

  • @MainAdrenaline Would that be the Matt of gunsmoke.... makes sense in a way. Thanks.

  • divided...yeah...perfect song for the times...

  • @TheMinstrelSpirit Thank you my good man. Always delighted to hear from you.

  • LOL..This was wild!! Great job with the song too!! Nice little head sticker of a tune! *****

  • @Cameragirl803 Sometimes I tend away from the musical and lean more toward the theatrical. Glad you found the little tune catch as well as liking the theatrics. Take care and thanks.

  • Hmmm...not a single 2nd Amendment comment here, yet. Couldn't help but see the Nicholson effect there at 0:35, but someone else already beat me to that comment. Well, maybe one day we'll get the Fairness Doctrine back and be able to get rid of Rush, Beck, and Boortz without firing a shot, eh? ;-)

  • @bigbeninjax Live and let live I say... differing viewpoints can co-exist without throwing around words like "traitor". Pretty good song for someone as apathetic as I am eh Ben?

  • @archtopbrownie Exactly, old buddy. Live and let live. As for apathy.....I think ignorance is our worst enemy. This shit's gettin' way to complicated for me.....but that's just the way I am.

  • Hi Lance, the freedom of speech is also the freedom of silence.

I don´t comment on politics or similar aspects in the web.

    Frank

  • @FrankRMusic Very well put. I fully respect that my friend.

  • lmao. Lance that was brilliant. The way things are going we can't sit back and say nothing.. We have to vent and what a way to do it in a song such as this. And it's legal, love freedom of speech.

    You Rock my friend.

  • @mommarox2 Glad it "struck a chord" with you mommarox2. Just have the urge to stir up the pot every so often. Thanks for the comment.

  • With those criteria there won't be anyone left lol. btw, you're getting weirder by the minute (thought you should know) 5*

  • @dmio2 Thank God for this comment. Even though tongue in cheek, if I didn't draw such a comment I'm playing it too safe.... and thank God for my four dislikes. Pablum gets all like votes. Without dislikes you are not getting at any truth at all. Thanks FOG

  • I Give Thumbs Up! Thank You For Making Videos Here! All The Best For Everybody! Feels By Assa!

  • @DirtyAssa I'm cool with that.

  • @archtopbrownie Thanks! You Know Democracy! Tow Beat Always One Even They Are Wrong And Eat That One Hand!

  • @archtopbrownie Sorry! Must Get Again Out It! You Know The Democracy! Two Beat Always A One Even They Eat From The One's Hand! All The Best For Everybody Also For Democrat As Long They Be In Their Own Island! Nothing Probably Can Help Us! Thank Lord I Work So Hard For My Food But Democracy Toke So Much Too And Give Also For Those Who Live And Feed Also Killers Who Kill All Who Don't Give For Democracy!

  • Here Where I Live Is Wrong To Do Work! There Is Welfare! If You Are Against Downpressers E.G. Ideology They Want To Know Everything About You But If You Do Work Like Harvest Berries Form Forest You Cant Explain That Because You Don't Have A Bill! When Your E.G. Insurance Is Low Level Like You Want To Do Work Hard And Take Risk! They The Downpressers Toke Genetic Away By Toke Your Children To Social Family To Grow And You Cant See Your Kids Anymore All The Time They Lie About You Because Ideology

  • Wonderful Jack Nickelson expressions... this could be his theme song:-)

  • @weegingayin I wonder if he'd think so. LOL Thanks for the comment.

  • @archtopbrownie I think if you exchanged traitors with traders this song would still make perfect sense, and would also solve the worlds economic problems.

  • that eliminates plenty of us and them too...LOL....we talking total extermination, then? in that case....sad to think that might be where are headed, at a slow pace....

it's a thought provoking song,...... humanity was ever thus, tho......there must be a workaround, Lance..least I hope so!

Thanks for the brain stimulation, ear titillation, eye revelation!

    XOsL

  • @cinderellalifestyle This isn't new... you are so right. The important thing is that for over 200 years we've been able to keep the extreme elements among us in check. We've seen what has happened in countries that give them power. Thanks my friend.

  • gotta admit lance..pretty funny...luv the new nick nolte look

  • @phoenixdoubledeuce Got Nick Nolte and Jack Nicholson so far. Glad you got a yuck out of it.

  • Clever video Lance. How did you do the effects? Creative as always. Thumbs up. I don't want to shoot anyone, I just want to be left alone.

"take off your bedroom slippers. Shake it off. Stop complainin'. Stop grumblin'. Stop cryin'.

    allen

  • @carvetop01 Thanks Allen. I'm makin' fun of the Taliban... nobody in this country. The quotes you gave I believe were directed at the Congressional Black Caucus.... interesting. Sounds like something my mother would have told me when I got in a snit growing up.

  • @archtopbrownie

I wish I could forget some of the things my Mother told me. Then again I did not always behave according to plan. You are correct that is from an address to the CBC. It has been fun watching him spin this one. What did you use for the camera effects? Damn clever. I don't see much difference between the Westboro Baptist Church whackos and the taliban do you? Except for the shooting part. (Or anyone who "knows" the "truth".)

    cheers,

    allen

    allen

  • @carvetop01 Agreed. Small difference. Here's the deal. I like accuracy in language. When people take liberties with it you end up with celebrities being "heroes" and 28 year-olds getting lifetime achievement awards and entertainers being called "geniuses". I'm sorry, Einstein was a genius, Michael Jackson was not. So, I take umbrage when politicians start throwing around words like "traitor". It's like the constant use of the "f" word. It weakens its impact when it is inaccurate and/or over used

  • @archtopbrownie

Agreed. Words have meaning. Phrases too. When I hear "The fact of the matter is"/"Think outside the box" it drives me nuts. And then there is this classic "I would like to thank..." WTF does that mean? Just go ahead and thank someone. I don't care what you would "LIKE" to do. I feel a rant coming on so I should quit here. Perhaps I'm too literal in my thinking.

    allen

  • Hey...I think you stole my thoughts...although they should have a fair trial before being executed...shouldn't take more than a week to cover every last one of them.

  • @tps607 Don't go all scary on me now Tom. All guilty as charged I'm sure. What some don't realize is I'm spoofing the Taliban..... not really.... but I could be.

  • Hi Lance,

Bravo! Great lyrics. Nothing to LOL about...

    ~Dennise & Co.

  • @dennise7star For me humor is one way of processing all the madness in the world. Thanks for dropping by Dennise.

  • Bob Dylan would be proud. Very nice!

  • Thanks for a great video and song Lance : )

  • That was great Lance. I love this kind of being serious. BRAVO !

  • @cartoonage Only way to be serious in my book. Seems like a video cartoon to me. I'm sure you can relate. Thanks Elie. Hope things have gotten brighter for you lately.

  • Lance that was great but the people your lampooning are to stupid to get it . :o) *****

  • @uncledave10 Well said Dave. Perhaps I am just preaching to the choir. I don't think those I'm lampooning are convert-able. They will always be with us. Just can't afford to give them any power. Countries who have done so have suffered greatly for it.

  • Do you remember an old guy by the name of Captain Beefheart? Wait! I might be having another flash back! You're too young to remember him! LOL

  • @slugg63 Oh yes, a good buddy of Frank Zappa if I recall. Back when people laid it out there eh?

  • I made the mistake of "pausing" the vid a few times....I thought flash backs only lasted 5 years, not 40! Yup, that scared me Lance! Fave'd and 5 stars. . You'd be a great neighbour! :) (and Tom on the other side.....maybe William Shatner living behind me...)

  • @slugg63 And you would make a great neighbor as well. We could have a whole block full of like minded screwballs like us. Sounds like Nirvana to me.

  • Great graphics Lance. Somehow you remind me of a character from Star Wars....scary stuff. Is this political sarcasm? Hmmm...

    Aloha,

    Thomas

  • @kiaweking What? Me sarcastic. You have to be kidding. Had a lot of fun with this Thomas. Glad you did too.... hey, horror movies are scary, but they are also entertaining.

  • Cool!

  • @oldnrone Well alright.

  • Good work Lance!!......PBO

  • @PeterBullOlsson Thanks PBO

  • Yes Lance lets shoot em all down lol, I like this song a lot , you are the New Dylan : )

    Rocket

  • @Ottawarocket Thanks Rocket - although I'd love to believe that, it just ain't so. He's a genius of sorts... I'm just another picker on youtube. But, thanks again anyhow.

  • @MAFjournal Thanks a bunch.

  • Ha Ha, pretty outside Lance. Dig it.!!! Cool effects. Watching your vid took me back to the good ole days as a kid when I used to go to Riverview, specifically the Alladin's Castle where there was that crazy room full of mirrors.

  • @MisterVirtual Yes, I remember those days. I lived in Denver and our amusement parks were called Lakeside and Elitches. It was fun just to look like we were crazy... instead of actually being so. Thanks for the comment MV. Music is at least part of the answer.

  • Great Lance, the message is: Shoot first and talk later and this case I'd say don't talk at all. Indeed a new moral: The ones that don't look like us, this ones that ain't rich like us, the ones who don't think like us, Line them up.....Need a large wall though cause those are an awful lot of people, new way to solve the immigration problem ? (how cynical can one get?),good message.Check out my newest: Crazy little thing called love, tell me what you think, saludos Vic.

  • @Jazzguts Victor - I think I have two sides... a musical one and a theatrical one. This one isn't about the music so much but I do find that music can be a vehicle for a message and sometimes I can't resist packaging a rant in this musical format. I don't want to be too cynical but I think this kind of sarcasm helps me to process the madness we see in the world. Some people actually think this way. Case in point Anders Breivik of Norway. It is frightening how normal he appears. Peace.

  • @archtopbrownie I hear you Lance and understand you completely,I dig your theatrical side too. We're living in a very complex world where Individualism and Alienation have deep Roots in society, the consequences are evident, there are many lonely Souls who think there voice will never be heard and in ultimate desperation seek their expression in these complete radical ways, very tragic and sad indeed but true as the crystal water,Vic.

  • @Jazzguts Ghandi said the world is constantly at war because a man cannot sit in a room alone and simply do nothing.

  • This world is in a great turmoil created by people who would whish to put us all against the wall. Criminality is down in Canada but Harper Prime Sinister, is building more Jails...He just getting ready hee haw!

Got to laugh of it all seriously cause it's a real bummer indeed;(

Great sarcastic Folk song Woody would be proud of you!

  • @Boucrate Thanks Bou. I don't mean to get too dark. Satire is my way of processing some of the madness we see around us every day. I am stunned at what actually comes out of people's mouths that isn't that far off from this. Thanks for your input.

  • hahaha-Hi Lance -loved looking at your face...change-

it made me smile-and great original song -I wish you

    a lovely week..Polly

  • @luvperu1 There really weren't any special effects involved. My face really looks like that. 'o)

  • @archtopbrownie --hahahahahahaha !!!

    so cute !!!!!!

  • nice work Lance. love the vid effects. a similar sentiment to pink floyd the wall, ''there's one in the spotlight he don't look right to me, get him up against the wall'' well done dude.

  • @zneella Hey Gavin... thanks. Don't mind being mentioned along with Pink Floyd.

  • Any chance one could get an MP3 of this? Love it, man.

  • @PookLowEnd Where should I send it?

  • @archtopbrownie I shall tell you in a pvt message!
