  • I have just started learning pentatonic scales but wouldn't this sound better in Bb? Or is it those blues notes that add flare to the Major G scale?

  • @TheTylerwalkermusic G Major Pentatonic is the scale used here..same as E minor Pentatonic and blue notes are certainly in there too. Bb Major Pentatonic would be the same as Gm and ya, Tony always mixes it up. I try to think of the chord shape and the scale that unravels. In this case G Major Pentatonic.
