  • Takes skill to do those registration changes without pistons and presets! I admire your work!

  • I used to have a Rialto similar to this a number of years ago. I really enjoyed it.

  • Hahaha...my sister just gave me a Gulbransen Theatrum organ today. I play piano/keyboard so I'm probably gonna have lots of fun pretending I'm a Alien behind that THING... LOL :D

  • Yes the imagination is in the ears. My head is filled with theater organ licks. Learned this technique years ago from being a guitar player, just avoid practicing licks. Instead practice songs. Scales? Debatable. Find your niche and if you are sounding out of the can then play the blues a little, just don't end up a Hammond player (lol).

  • just ran across your vids tonight.. damn. You sound great. keep it up.

  • I think that you could buy organ music books from your local Lowrey dealer I plan on doing so my self. It is most difficult to find organ sheet music, unless you buy it used?

  • where can i get the original sheet music for a theatre organ ?

  • @shadowthehedgehog224 You can find it anywhere really. musicnotes webssite is a place

  • @wurlitzer60 they dont seem to have it, they have anything BUT organ sheet music for this.any other that might hav it?

  • @shadowthehedgehog224 I highly doubt that you are going to find actual organ sheet music for songs like these. The best you will do is find piano sheet music. If you are looking for an original copy of this sheet music, I really don't know how to go about doing that. Sorry!

  • @wurlitzer60 lol its ok. i looked for a several hours on any sheet music site i can find , i guess it doesnt exist anymore. so how do you play the pedals then? i see you playing them , plz tell me what u did to compensate for the lack of organ sheet music! ty :)

  • Great playing and VERY skillful registration. Same goes for your pipe organ recording of this tune. Bravo!

  • Man, you are quick with those registration changes! Congratulations ... great sound & performance. Come play my 3m Rodgers theatre organ anytime!

  • This sounds great! You made this organ sound like a real theater pipe organ! You play wonderful!

  • NEAT

  • Thanks dude! Nice playin!

  • That was really good. You are very talented and very interesting. Please tell me these are your own arrangements. They are fresh and delightful.

  • Thanks! Yes, these are my own arrangements. I listen to alot of theatre organ recordings and get ideas to make my own arrangement.

  • Wonderful to hear you and your organ. I have a 1973 Gulbransen Premier (same cabinet as yours, but no external speakers) which has a lot of issues. It was never played, so it was in absolute original condition when I got it 2 years ago. Unfortunately it has several dead pedals, a few dead keys, a stuck key, and other problems. I would like to repair it, but am not quite sure where to start. Skilled electronics person here, but when I opened it for the first time I was overwhelmed.

  • I have a technical manual for that model - I own a Gulbransen Premeir myself. Message me and we can trade e-mails.

  • anyone were i can get an organ like this in the uk

  • Great playing! I hope you get to play real pipes too!

  • Going way back I remember the "K" used two cabinets, a 101 and 102. The spacial effect was pretty good for that era and used rotating radio capacitors for a subttle phaze shift and it's heard here in the reeds. Nice presentation. Love to hear these old organs are still cooking, sometimes.

  • Nice work! You need a third hand there!! But handle great registration changes very well without pistons.

  • Nice playing! Rather than having to reach up and hit tabs for your changes, why not program some of your registration buttons, which are right below your keyboards? That's why they're there---they're much easier to reach while you're playing. Cheers.

  • Thanks for the comment. Those pistons actually do not control stops. They are only for various effects such as percussion and reverb and sustain and one is a Sforzando. Take a look at my video I posted of me playing a Rodgers 340.

  • Well, no wonder you're so busy! It's good exercise, though. :?)

  • You seem to have a little bit of an "English" influence in your registrations and improv style...

  • This is very good and sounds great! Is this your own arrangement? I don't see any sheet music so I'm assuming it is.

  • Thanks. I sometimes start 'riffing' on a song and if i like it I create an arrangement out of it.

  • Excellent! You really know how to get the most out of a Gulbransen Rialto K. Are you playing it through a GK100 speaker?

  • Thanks! The paper that I have for it says that its a Leslie Isomonic Model 101 GK.

  • The 101 has a three channel "Rotosonic" drum. I modified one when I customized a Rialto K back in the 90s. I used the two extra speakers in the drum for a vox humanna.

  • Sounds really good!

  • well done, nice tibias
