  • Any gas stove needs a wind shield, calm conditions are rare. When the gas runs out the inflexibility of the system becomes obvious. I went for the army trangia. When the alcohol runs out, the system lends itself to any wood fuel quite easily.

  • there's a harry animal on top of your camera.

  • you can use a variety of canaster sizes with the bases too. On really springy ground you can steel some tent pegs from guy lines and fix it down, then your only concern is the pan vibrating as it boils. I do find the pan supports on these mini stoves rather slip slidey.

  • Great review. :)

Where did you get the tent? looks lilke a very good set up.

  • @Elondrow

Hi, the tent is a Hilleberg Akto, a really brilliant one person tent. See our video review.

  • The tent in the background is the Hilleberg Akto. See our video review for more details.

  • This works like a charm.

  • 10/10 nice one

  • ah, the old hilleberg akto, good choice my friend

  • I have the Primus plastic stand you mentioned and it's actually really good. Because the feet spread so wide, it makes the stove very stable and there's no danger of the stove falling over.

    Nice review, keep 'em coming!
