Oh I see so a sealer is actually a primer? I don'; have a lot of knowledge about sealers heheh. Then you can just paint directly over the sealer without sanding it? What if you wanted to sand it because of imperfections?
Ideally you wont..lol, but if you do you'd have to let it dry a bit longer and you can sand it. Some sealers sand well and others terribly. Usually you'd spray the sealer and if all went well you can start applying paint directly after about 20 minutes (depending on the product).
I have a fiberglass hood, I think is fiberglass and the paint is burned, do I have to sand all of the paint to leave the fiberglass bare or just sand the clear coat and smoot the surface to apply basecoat and then clearcoat? it is just that I think that who painted the hood did it just like the one that painted my bumper and didnt used adhesion promoter and now the paint is gone, I dont want to paint the hood and have the paint gone in no time
I play around with the pressure on my Iwata, I find some clears seem to spray better at different pressures. I usually just do a quick test spray on a sheet and go with it, hard to lay it down wrong with this gun.
Was there no primer sprayed on this hood after the sealer? Or did I miss something?

@Pendemic
The first thing sprayed is a sealer (non-sanding primer).

I should also add sometimes on hoods I play on the low end to keep things from blowing around which can keep dirt nibs down.
