  • dont the rubber hitting your hand hurt????

  • I have enjoyed your films. I will have to get out the old wrist rocket and check out new tubing.

  • sounds boss that noise it makes

  • can you make me one for free? and fish rocks

  • i had never heard of slingbows until now, also i thought slingshots to be children's toys, but they're awesome, thanks

  • How difficult would it be to make a sling bow/crossbow that could fire both arrows and balls?

  • Need at least 45lbs draw weight to hunt with it !

  • new to the channel, im sure you have said this before. Where could i purchase the bands and those steel balls you normally shot. do you use the same website or store everytime?

  • Great design! If you rub your arrow shafts with parafin wax you will find it easier to pull them out of the target mat.

  • can we buy one of these slingbows?

  • @MrShufflelegend Nope... I never sell. This is just a hobby.

  • @JoergSprave No offense, but you're amazing at creating slingshots, and you could EASILY patent your designs and turn your hobby into a career. That's what I would do at least. Think about it: you could be a famous inventor, get paid lots of money, start your own business/ company, and best of all: Get paid lots of money to do what you are passionate about! I don't see what's stopping you man, if I were you, I'd start right away. But I guess you'd rather just build these in your backyard....

  • @Planatification Well, I already started my own business, 23 years ago, after graduating from university. I still run that company and I have many shares in it. It is a great job which I like. I do make good money. Why should I want to go through the tough years of starting a new business when I am perfectly happy with the job I already have? What I need is a fun hobby, not another career.

  • @JoergSprave All right, I didn't know that, so I was just speculating.. lol

  • would you sell a bow like this??? i would love to buy one if so?

  • @rclewright See above.

  • bist du Jäger Jörg?

  • @pointer802 Schon lange nicht mehr.

  • very creative "bow"...I can't believe noboby came up with something like that before. fun to wacth.

  • what kind of broadheads were those

  • I want to buy one...

  • always sounds like he terminator when he says "thanks and Bye-bye" at the end lol

  • Actually really freakin cool! This would make a nice survival tool, less bulky than a full bow, more portable. You guys should patent and sell these =3

  • This seems to be the smallest functional bow I have seen...

  • PS Joe I know you a very busy man but why don't you answer any of my questions ? not enough time ?

  • @thesashworth I am on the road with little time and sporadic web access. Will be back home Monday. Have some patience, please.

  • Joe Kein probleme

  • I beleive you could sell 1000's maybe 10's X 1000's of that product. Why dont you? as I mentioned in an earlier comment with a wrist brace and another pair of band or even 2 x pair of bands that would make a very small yet very powerful hunting weapon for medium size game. you was achieving 24 ft lbs here - I know if you wanted to you could double that if not more (but would need wrist brace cos not every1 as strong as you!

  • A further point not sure what you do for a job but you must be very well payed as I am sure you could make a career and earn some good money selling your slingshots. PS what job do you do - is it something to do with joinery/woodwork/engineering and do they allow you to use their tools to make your slingshots ? because the craftmanship on your products is second to none! (just being nosey tell me to eff off if you want!)

  • That is an amazing concept design - please don't take what I am saying as criticism as I admire your ctaftmanship so much. But not every1 has as big chest and shoulders as you surely this would be bore accurate with a wrist brace - I am sure you could even add another pair of rubber bands for extra power if you did.

  • Nice! I want one.

  • very nice... i'm thinking now that i have to make something like that... just way too cool

  • you don't need that sling ,it looks like you could rip the head off of a wild hog with your bare hands

  • Beautifull Slingbow Joerg!

  • i have seen kills on hogs with sling bows within 20 meters, but with the heavy black spear gun or silver (can't remember what for?) bands jorge has used before i would expect much more power. i am still not sure if it would get out to 100 yds but most modern bows wont do that either. the simple fact that it is much much quieter and more economical than a gun makes it a very worthy weapon none the less. besides if you cant stalk within 20 yds range then you shouldn't be in the woods to begin with

  • the question is can it be use to hit a wild boar at a 100 Yrd distance ? It all looks very good though !

  • are you going to be selling these cause if u are im interested

  • Epic!!! Your the man!

  • This looks like an awesome new sling bow design, however the only problem can see with it, is taking the second primary issue of hand slaps, the fixed version would be extremely loud thus not all that effective for actually hunting. Have you looked at a way to quieten the contact yet?

  • Genius!

  • Can you make a PDF or something like this for how to do this slingshot/bow ?

This is amazing, and i'd like to build this slingshot.

  • Hi Jörg,

Is there a method to shoot with only one hand ?

I lost the use of my right arm in a motorbike accident and i used to target shoot with bow and slingshot. I will be very happy to return to do it ! :)

Thank you and sorry if you already answered this question, if not a demonstration video will be awesome (think all the disabled people old and young you can make happy !)

Ciao and keep up the good work!

    Carlo

  • @baldes i know you where asking him but i figured id give you some info any way. here while back i saw a hunting show and it was a special hunt for a man who had lost his arm in afghanistan, they either made or purchased a shoulder strap system in which he was able to mount a quick release system to his collarbone area, all he had to do was flex to press the quick release. i would imagaine you could find it somewhere on the internet. good luck!

  • @MoRockHound Thank you very much i will search!

  • @baldes

Have you looked into prosthetics? There are one handed shooters out there, and from what I recall, they have a prosthetic limb to hold the bow, and draw with their good arm.

In america, many states allow crossbow hunting for disabled archers, so that might also be an option.

  • @TheBoyFromNorfolk Thank's for the reply, but my arm is still attached but is paralized

so i canm't use a prosthetics. I figured out that a cross bow will be my best choise.

  • You're video is awesome. I really enjoy hearing you're accent. Sie Deutsch?

  • @Akshole hes German

  • are you russian??

  • You are made of awesomeness!!!

  • it looks as if your last shot (with the alluminum arrow) hit the top of your speed indicator, thus slowing down the arrow.

  • Man your a genius great design

  • That´s so awesome!!

I really like your inventions xD

    Well done =)

  • your a fucking genius!!

  • what language do you speak?

nice vids man, keep em comin

  • you know how a compund bow uses pulleys and cables. i wonder if u could make a sling bow with a pulley system, sort of a "compund slingshot". let me know what u think :)

  • koenntest du vielleicht sagen wo man gummis aus altagsgegenstaenden holen kann. wenn ja danke

  • Joerg did you add some extra rubber bands?

  • i dont get it when people say "but will it blend" i dont understand:((

  • at 1:11 when he said nasty hand slaps, i laugh everytime, i love this guy

  • what gum is this

  • I do archery and I've got to say this looks badass. I would love one of these.

  • Yep, you can kill a man from 40 feet with rubber an arow, and some wood.

  • i bet the army could use your designs lol

but seriously, stealth mission operations, this would probably be better than a crossbow

  • Respekt, ganz ehrlich.

Des was du machst sieht gut aus und hat viel Power.

Davon könnten sich sehr viele ne Scheibe abschneiden ;)

  • this could make you rich,

  • Nice flap to the hand

  • think you need a thum cover on that one a guard just at the hand grip

  • Nice, brother. but i would still add some hand guards. never can be TOO cautious.

  • Holy shit thats the most awesome slingshot/bow i have ever seen :P

  • Do you have a big shed full of weapons?

  • Excellent as always.

  • love it sir, would it make any sense to you to extend your lower limb slightly on this sling bow? where the grip would have essentially the flight rest length on both sides and the match of the upper limb on both sides. this could greatly increase the available power. i only wonder if this concept could also work with the 20mm ammunition that you commonly use as well with some minor modifications. i only bring up these ideas as i am accustomed to shooting English long bow...

  • How does the velocity compare to a conventional compound bow?

What about shooting an arrow through a slingshot, with an arrow stabilizer?

This looks like a great project, at any rate!

  • If zombies attack, can I come stay with you?

  • germans make all the good stuff

  • future bow and arrow lol

  • About how long did it take to build this? I'd like to build one too.

Are all the materials and tools at any hardware store?

    Looks really fun to shoot.

  • "I guess I lost it" LOL

  • your videos are inspirational man, you should patent some of these designs. is bowhunting legal in germany?

  • Loud

  • if i say i liked your video, will you promise not to hurt me?

  • u should go rambo sometimes...

  • Which of your sliingshots you think is the BEST for defending a house. And maybe reload easily;

  • good stuff! I noticed the rubber spanked your hand a little bit though

  • do you have engineering experience or somthing? this is sooo intense man, your a genius haha

  • You are amazing dude. That design is completely impressive

  • put a red dot on that bitch

  • lol i made a bow using a staple, normal rubber band for the sling...and normal pen ink for the arrow... :P

  • How do you make this?

  • This is a beautiful piece of art.

  • Fantastic Love wood working and I love Archery, perfect fit for me. I would like to build something simlar for BOW fishing.

  • Fantastic Love wood working and I love Archery, perfect fit for me. I woould like to build something simlar for BOW fishing.

  • i have shoot for more than 5 years and if u tryed to stop youself letting your hand tip forword your shooting will iprove

  • I literally wokeup my brother from a deep sleep by saying, "This guy is a genius."

    And its true.

  • hey i watched this video and i got the idea of getting a comp bow and moddifying it to shoot slingshot ammo do u think it will work?

  • Joerg the design needs improvement because it still hits your hand. The rubber slides on a side and still hirsute the hand it looks quite painful in the slow-motion. Still I love you Channel.

  • I know what I'm doing this summer. You should probably put a "Do not attempt" thing before you vids.... Just a suggestion. Love your videos

  • lol at 4 minutes your wife wasn't impressed how you nicked the machine

  • This guy is Fuckin Crazy , but in a good way , you deserve millions of views. I don't know shit about this , but all I know is that your a fuckin pro.

  • The Mad Man of sling shots does it again!!! Cant wait for the sights!!! Also u must have counter sunk some screws some where to hold the arrow rest???

  • I want 1 of those, can you not make them for sale ?

  • please please please make a how to, i would absoloutely love this to add to my slingshot and bow collection. =] keep up the good work!

  • I want to say I am really surprised about your slingbow good

  • Your Amazing

  • awesome thing. Joerg you are genius :) Would you tell me what do you call them shoot aids for a hand. To grip the rubberband making sure it won't slip out ur hand. Like u used in ur other video for a powerful slingshot. Can them be bought somewhere? Tnx in advance.

P.S. R u selling any of ur stuff by the way? :) I'd buy some of ur mighty creations.

  • @gorelik75 Thanks for the praise! Do you mean my release? Made it myself.

And no, I don't sell, this is just a hobby.

  • @JoergSprave We won't be seeing a how to video about this one by any chance are we ? only found your channel as of today & i'm allready planning on making that first sling bow.. but i'd love to get a bit moreinfo on this design to be honnest.. thx in advance :)

  • @JoergSprave You should sel some of your slings . I would buy them for 30£

  • @JoergSprave You should sell some of your slings . I would buy them for 30£

  • @JoergSprave to bad you dont sell :(

    Anyway , Respect (y)

  • @JoergSprave Great job!

  • @JoergSprave with the views you have you should start your own sling site to sell ones you like

  • @HomeDistiller But then it would no longer be a hobby, right? I have a job already, you know.

  • @JoergSprave

do u have a website with the size of cutouts

  • @JoergSprave wow you really are good hearted not trying to make money off everything if only there was more of you

  • @thomasnbishop HEY! I made beaded necklaces and medallions for rappers in 1989-96 that did not wear gold, and the came to me and a few other guys that did this because we put our Heart,Soul and Love into our custom product. But any of us can go by a Diablo slingshot from Walmart or Chinese copy off Ebay, but a lot of us would love to have a limited addition Sprave sling(with Signature),i probably wouldnt want 1 if he no longer did it himself & he sold 1mil. in Walmart, but to us He's a Superstar

  • @JoergSprave i would buy one

  • @HomeDistiller I also told him he should start a product line, just like Cadbury Chocolate's do during Easter, he can make a limited amount of his creation and watch all of them SELL LIKE CRAZY!!.

  • @JoergSprave You could make some money with your ideas ;)

  • @gorelik75 Please, just stop... It's horrible.

  • @gorelik75 It can be found in any hand-bow store. It is normally designed for compound-bows(3 stringed catroll bows) and it is a little bit different then his. It is usually a little rope with some kind of grapple atached

  • its soo beautiful!

  • but, will it blend?

  • This is my faviorite design by far, Joerg you deserve a medal and your own factory for making these great bows and slingshots.

  • I wonder why u don't sell those

  • english is not spoken in japanese.

  • Damn that looks kickass!

    Pure awesomeness

  • Slingshotforum! Thanks.

  • Very very nice my friend. Have you looked at wildernessoutfitters slingbow modifications? Essentially it is a whisker biscuit mounted with two zip ties into the middle of a wrist rocket. It looks very effective, though I don't think it nearly generates 32 joules, though he states he can kill a deer with it.

Links dont work, but search "Sling bow final modification how to" Take a look though, tell me what you think. I'm a bit strapped for cash and this looks nice

  • @phatboi716 Of course I know Dave's work, I have much respect for him. I tried similar designs. But the whisker biscuit is hit every time you shoot, with the pouch actually going through the whiskers, damaging them. Also there is much dead play of the rubber bands. The draw length of a slingbow is short (limited by the arrow length, 30 inches), and if the dead play is 8 inches, that leaves 22 inches of effective draw... not much. My design eliminates both issues.

  • Comment removed

  • @JoergSprave

I already have a wrist rocket so I'm probably just going to modify that, but looking at your slingshot crossbow video I think that will be my first project, eventually working up to a design much like the "African goddess". It's very nice. Is there any way I can remove some of that dead play on the wrist rocket? He has another video putting on a bow string where the pocket was for a release, would this do less damage to the whisker biscuit?

  • @phatboi716 The string allows you to use a release and does a little less damage to the whiskers. To remove the dead play, you can forwards extend the fork arms - welding gear and skills are needed.

  • @JoergSprave

That will be something I look into then. Does your design you showed in the "Slingbow with collapsible arrows" video remove damage to the whisker biscuit? Welding shouldn't be a problem, I know some skilled workers. With the string, what would be my best method of replacing the pouch with the string? I haven't bought these parts yet, I only have a bare wrist rocket. I will be buying the rubber slings w/ pouch, a whisker biscuit, and some arrows on Friday if things go my way.

  • @phatboi716 I recommend joining the slingshotforum, lots of great advise there. It is free, and I am a mod on that forum. Comments don't allow links and images, hard to assist you from here.

  • @JoergSprave

I'll look into making an account as soon as possible, thanks for all the help thus far and any in the possible future :)

  • @JoergSprave nothing at this time, but if your willing to trade i will get working on something to trade

  • thats amazing did u make it yaself

  • @dragon66139 Yes.

  • Very nice, I know that lot's of hard work went in to your design congrats and you should feel proud of your accomplishment . now let's take it hunting that is the real test or bow fishing.

  • Dear Joerg - thank you for all of your videos and the time that you put into them.Tausend danke from England.

  • hi joerg i haved watched loads of your vids and wants to make a descent catapult (all my other attemps are crap ) but it is to expensive how could i make a good powerful one

  • @TheLoppoman Just watch my how to videos, I am sure you will find something suitable.

  • this is a great slingbow! and very beautiful design !

  • Who need guns?

  • This one is the perfect survival bow, easy to transport, ready to go with no mounting time... it's simply awesome. I have not enought manual ability to make one, but it''s a dream. Nice.. NICE work with this. (Can I say "work" for an hobby?)

  • deer hunting with a slingshot......

  • Too cool!!

  • whoahoaaaaa.

  • Looks very nice. Is there anyway to quiet the slap of rubber on wood? That would be my only concern hunting.

  • Great thing for hunting! Small, light and powerfull. Really enjoyed that project and that video. Best regards, Greg

  • when are you going to start to make them for sale? :)

  • @martkt10 Never. This is my hobby. I am not going to spoil it with legal issues, customer complaints and taxes. Got enough of that in my job already.

But feel free to make your own one!

  • @JoergSprave if not for sale, what about trade? all hobbies include trade

  • @HentaiSan00 So what is your offer? I like handmade gadgets.

  • This is very cool. I love it actually. I would definitely buy one if they were sold on the market.

  • Nice concept but you are way behind a bow launched arrow. Great job though!

  • @ROBERTLUCIAn Am I really? I think a 40 lbs recurve bow is very comparable in arrow speed. There are heavier bows than 40 lbs, but I can use stronger rubber too.

Of course compound bows are faster. But can you make a compound bow at home, from wood, with basic tools? Material costs under 10 dollars, BTW.

  • @JoergSprave Your slingshot's are great, but the one thing is... I can make a wooden recurve bow with: a log, saw, knife, string, water + fire. And a stick for the bendings(not sure how it's called in english)

It would probably shoot a little faster then your's, and also probably a little more steady because it will be longer.

@ROBERTLUCIAn Compound bow's suck. They take to long to get a precise shot. You will need to watch everything or your shot will fail bigtime.

  • @ROBERTLUCIAn My bad, I didn't specify. Yes I was comparing your sling bow to a compound bow. I own a bow and a Chrony chronograph. However for having it built out of ruber and wood and only 1.2 lbs your bow is outstanding! How about mounting a sight on it to do some shooting at 20-30 yards?

  • Even I can admit this is really freaking cool

  • Well that's cool !

  • Amazing video as usual Jörg :D

  • i am going to make one. thank you sir.
