Very nice! Do you have this song recorded in any audio format? I've been searching for BWV 1007 and BWV 1006 played on electric guitar, but only have found on accoustic guitar, that is so boring... :(
@dnzfccn it will sound messy on electric with distortion, if that is what u r talking about. i tried it, but i will need to make some arrangements, and i suck at that xD

I learned this piece on classical guitar (dropped D tuning) many years ago but I'm so out of practice and sight read so painfully slowly that I can now only manage the first dozen or so bars.
I keep promising to relearn it and so I just dug it out to tempt myself.
Thanks for the extra inspiration.
I first heard the first cello suite while driving and ended up sat in my car outside my house for ten minutes or so completely transfixed.
Very nice, man. Amazing technique and your interpretation reminds me of Mischa Maisky's.
Not a big fan of the key though, I prefer it in D (like Segovia played) or in the original G (though it is kind of a pain to retune your guitar for it).
sorry lol, not sure what that is. do you mean only the musical notation? if so, i can proceed no further hah! if not do you have some sort of link to learn this other than musical notation?
I have yet to comment on how excellent this. Just beautiful. You need to start all of your videos on atheism/theism with this...I would respond to all of them just to hear the intro :)
Thanks for the 'wow'. I don't have anything for sale yet, but be sure to check out my other channel: thejsbx. I'll be putting updates over there for my band, The JS Bach Experience.
I'm sure you can... time for a quote from the big man, himself, "I was obliged to be industrious. Whoever is equally industrious will succeed . . . equally well"
Hey u r pretty good! Did you study music in Indonesia or something? Love the chord changes....Are you in a band.?.You are such a Protege in the music game....WHO ARE YOU urbanelf...?

Ah.
Its a little too fast, and its supposed to be done without a pick.
mtleycrueboarder 2 years ago
Ha! Technically it's supposed to be played with a bow. I wonder if that's the inspiration Jimmy Page used? :)
conradleviston 2 years ago
Yes, it's written right on the cello sheet music: "don't use a pick".

I too have transcribed this for electric guitar but I mostly use a hybrid picking style and totally different fingerings. I like your interpretation.

6th -> D, then the whole piece is transposed up a whole step. That way I can accomodate the lowest note on the 'cello.
