  • Bravo! But why didnt you let the last note ring out naturally after such a beautiful piece?

  • great job,im a classical guitar player and i know this piece,u played it great for an electric guitar arregement, keep going!

  • amazing!

  • were did u learn that?

  • @89baker I taught myself.

  • @89baker he most likely got guitar tabs online like i did

  • Very nice! Do you have this song recorded in any audio format? I've been searching for BWV 1007 and BWV 1006 played on electric guitar, but only have found on accoustic guitar, that is so boring... :(

  • @dnzfccn it will sound messy on electric with distortion, if that is what u r talking about. i tried it, but i will need to make some arrangements, and i suck at that xD

  • stellar job brother.

I'm gunna have to study your movements now.

    That's a carvin isn't it?

  • Thanks!

    Yes, it's a 135, if I remember right.

  • Wowzer!

I learned this piece on classical guitar (dropped D tuning) many years ago but I'm so out of practice and sight read so painfully slowly that I can now only manage the first dozen or so bars.

I keep promising to relearn it and so I just dug it out to tempt myself.

    Thanks for the extra inspiration.

I first heard the first cello suite while driving and ended up sat in my car outside my house for ten minutes or so completely transfixed.

Favourite version: Antonio Janigro c1956 (cello).

  • Man, that was great. 5*; Peace, -G

  • +5 mini soups

  • never seen this before ,thanks for posting 5/5

  • Wonderfull! Have you got any tab or score for this? I am trying to learn it...

  • Very nice, man. Amazing technique and your interpretation reminds me of Mischa Maisky's.

Not a big fan of the key though, I prefer it in D (like Segovia played) or in the original G (though it is kind of a pain to retune your guitar for it).

    Cheers!

  • thats fucking sick dude, i play ska off beat shit which is tough for some musicians, but i know ill never be able to play shit like that hahaha

  • amazing.

  • that's a gorgeous guitar, what kind is it?

  • Thanks!

Carvin DC-135 w/ flamed maple top.

I would definitely get another Carvin.

  • nicely done

  • Ha! Technically it's supposed to be played with a bow. I wonder if that's the inspiration Jimmy Page used? :)

  • Yes, it's written right on the cello sheet music: "don't use a pick".

  • Awesome :) Love other string and piano peices on guitar :)

  • epic carvin guitar man =D

  • AWESOME... very beutiful

  • That was amazing.

  • I like this.

  • Masterfully done, respect :)

  • That was great! I'm quite jealous.

  • do you have a link where i can get a tab for this?

  • No tab. Just the urtext.

  • sorry lol, not sure what that is. do you mean only the musical notation? if so, i can proceed no further hah! if not do you have some sort of link to learn this other than musical notation?

    great playing though

  • BACH 'N ROLL! Great job!

  • great tone......the best electric guitar cover ive heard of this piece

  • Go right ahead.

May I listen to you say "the recently cuckholded Jezuzfreek" over and over?

  • Wow! I'm incredibly flattered that you've seen that video -- yeah, that was a good line. Apparently, he wasn't so pleased with it.

  • Absolutely fantastic!

  • Thank you very much, Mr. Rocker!!!

  • I too have transcribed this for electric guitar but I mostly use a hybrid picking style and totally different fingerings. I like your interpretation.

  • Thanks. I hope you didn't notice the wrong note near the end.

In what key do you play yours?

  • The beauty of real classic combined with the coolness of an electric guitar. Great !

  • Great stuff! Thanks. I'll be listening for more.

  • Yay! That was frakkin sweet!

  • wow, I wish I could play like that. I might have a chance if it was guitar hero :P

  • I'm sure you can... time for a quote from the big man, himself, "I was obliged to be industrious. Whoever is equally industrious will succeed . . . equally well"

  • ok... just great

  • Yay! I have practice La Catedral with dist. This was great with cleaner sound. I like:-)

  • BEA-utifull, i love the way u make it look so easy

  • very nice, dude. ive been trying to teach myself this on the electric guitar for a while now. good show!

  • standard tuning?

  • 6th -> D, then the whole piece is transposed up a whole step. That way I can accomodate the lowest note on the 'cello.

  • You got some skills dude.

    Props.

  • That is really good! 5 stars!

  • Wow, I like very much the finger movements of this transcription...
