  • ¿What? ¿no random Tyler Durdens? This is a fraud!

  • I used to hate my sister for nonstop c-sticking for smash attacks but I'm finding them necessary for some aerial combos I'm attempting. I'm still against it for f/d/u-smashes though.

  • @OMGItsAllen Why is that?

  • @OMGItsAllen It's all situational. Aerials are definitely easier with the C-stick. I used to be the same was, but I came to realize that as long as I'm attacking in the way that's best, it doesn't matter what the input looks like. If you need a smash attack to come out fast there's no shame in using the C-stick. I personally never made myself use the jump buttons.

  • While it's impossible to tell from just the video, there are a lot more actions that take place, such as DI and mashing to get out of tumbling.

  • Jesus @ the end ftw!

  • mango doesnt use c-stick

  • c-sticker

  • Mango uses c-stick?

  • Someone, somewhere still thought this was mashing buttons.

  • Whats the L button

  • thumbs up for the tags

  • this game is harder than the flowchart they call street fighter.

  • brb downloading and slowing this down

  • You don't see that much input display even if you mash combinations on MvC training mode.

  • Haha, man that last pic is hilarious. Cool vid Atlus

  • Did anyone else notice the picture @0:50 when Mango dies?

  • sick vid atlus :] this is toph :D

  • lol, this is kind of gimmicky, as in no seasoned smash player would actually learn anything from the input display, but to newer players, it probably looks absolutely mind blowing. still, thanks for the video.

  • Man, I hope SSB4 has something like this for their training mode like Street Fighter. This vid was cool.

  • This was amazing. Please make more!

  • @Tugnus why?

  • @Tugnus you can see that he DID use the c-stick for most of his smashes. with the exception of the charged ones obv.

  • @Tugnus i see. didn't realize the buttons were put in manually :p

  • @Tugnus no, c-stick is faster than A smash. think about it.

using A smash: 1. tap & A button; 2. let go of A button; 3. smash animation begins when A releases (takes place after tap action is done)

using c stick: 1. tap; 2. smash animation begins as soon as tap is detected, doesnt require the tapping to finish

so c-stick is actually the minimum time required from your reaction to smash to come out. if you can move your thumb fast, c-stick is always faster. if not, maybe A smash is faster for u

  • @Tugnus Assuming you play frame perfect and don't waste any frames charging.

  • @Tugnus no u wrong. that is technical data. whereas in application, i'd like to see YOU do 100 "fastest possible" smashes in a row, which means pressing & letting go of the A button right when the tap input is detected. go ahead, prove it with video. and most top players do use c-stick, unless u r robot

  • @Tugnus Most people used the C-stick quite often actually! Whether he used the c-stick or not, the input is still accurate!

  • Comment removed

  • @Tugnus The A button is used for certain aerials to come out faster, Docs up-air for instance. However for smashes everyone uses the C-stick very often. Only when they charge it they use A. A c-stick is an instant smash with no charge.

  • @Tugnus Ugh no! Most players use the C-Stick because they can still use the Control Stick to maneuver themselves while in the air! Using the Control Stick + A changes the momentum of your jump! Also, a smash comes out faster while using the C-stick since there is no charge!

  • @Tugnus One of the only times you really use A smashes is for cancellations (JC/OoS) and charged smashes (personal preference as an exception).

  • ROFL @ 1:21

  • Kinda hard to keep track of the button presses because it was full speed, but perhaps that was the point. lol I did notice you put some L-cancels on autocancel bairs though. I wish we could hook up a controller to a computer and do this automatically. :P

  • no wavedashing?

  • @xianglongfa I decided to skip on the DI input since I wouldn't know exactly how he DI! I also skipped some of the input in between stocks on purpose!

  • LOL at the input @1:21

  • dat green power ranger input is op...

  • now make it for peach/puff rofl

  • @pr0gressd If you're implying Armada and Hbox don't have many inputs going on, you're sadly mistaken.

  • @Bones0 i am, not to take away from their skill but those character are easier to play and along with a few other in my opinion takes away quality from the game

  • @pr0gressd rofl

  • @pr0gressd Just because those characters require less buttons to press doesn't mean they are easier to play.

  • @nKhid neider does brawl apperantly?

  • @pr0gressd what?

  • @pr0gressd No, they aren't easier at all. I'd love to see float cancel like Armada, and as far as Jiggs, I think she's one of the most difficult characters to play because of how limited her mobility is. Your WDs have to be perfect to help your spacing, and while less common, stuff like resting out of dashes are extremely high risk. As far as Brawl goes, you can't even compare it to Melee's speed. Even Jiggs, who is probably has the lowest APM, still blows any Brawl char out of the water.

  • @Bones0 nice try
