Strictly is entertainment,not to be confused with Xfactor and the like who's winners go on to do their thing as a career. Tom was a great dancer and also great entertainment (he has already been back to perform his showdance) and he won because of that. Ricky was a better dancer but he didn't have that "thing"! I wanted Cola to win and voted way too many times to make sure of that!

Tom's had all the story but not enough technique (it was very slow and kind of tame). Rachel's had all the technique and leg movements but no story. Lisa's had both, but still wasn't a patch on either Alesha and Matthews last year or Mark and Karens in series 4

Yes, I agree. I'm a guy and know this dance well. It's very difficult and I loved the storytelling. It was great. Like some of the judges said, there was some intricacy absent but otherwise I loved it.
