Sugar Ray claimed they could barely play their instruments. But I like a lot of their grooves. They prove that you don't have to be a master player. If you can play the simple stuff well you can get a lot of flavor out of the guitar.

@avh129 I don't remember, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's tuned down. Just tune your high E string to that high E on that first intro chord and you can tune the other strings from there.

@recordingblue It's actually a D41 (the only difference is the 45 has additional inlay on the back, and around where the neck joins the body on the front). I bought it new in early 2007.

curious what your opinion is on this : do you think the white binding on acoustics (along the neck) has a tendency to suck tone away from the overall sound? Call me crazy, but I have a teory that it does.........
