if you learn to get good at this sort of writing it doesnt necessarily translate into making your day to day handwriting any better or worse, ie my handwriting is rather messy.

the most important thing is the right brush!! as a painter you would understand the importance of a good brush, I use a haydyn 200series (thats in New Zealand not sure the equivalent elsewhere) basically a flat and square edge brush, there some great vids from other guys on Utube
