Yes it will over heat but it's normal.....best is to just turn off steadyshit and use a tripod and try not shooting in the sun and heaty areas

The camera actually does take quality photos. It's obvious that he dislikes Sony and is doing this review under the assumption that the camera is crap. And using it like a amateur gets you amateur looking photos, which is why the pictures he takes in this video look like crap. A very, very biased "review".

The significant difference between A55 and A33 is that A55 has MUCH lower noise at high ISO. How can you not mention this? I hate such time-wasting "reviews" so much... Or maybe this video is supposed to entertain people with the amount of retardness it contains?

But with this new Sony Translucent Mirror camera design your not getting 100 percent light to the image sensor, your picture is just getting 70 percent of light. plus the Translucent Mirror is in the way when taking a picture, So who wants 70 percent picture quality to look at?...not me!. I think it would be safer to stay with a original design DSLR camera, then atleast you will know the picture will be at 100 percent quality.

@2point6x4 Before writing things that are not true, please read all!! the reviews, test and forums. You will notice that the a55 has suberp image quality. The 70% has no impact on the imagequality. I have the a55 and very pleased with it. 1600Iso no grain at all. Try one your self, before you make wrong shot in the air. Canon and Nikon will follow. José Chaguaceda (Zwitserland)

@josechaguaceda yeah your probably right since I don't own the Sony a55 so I really can't say for sure how the pictures look from it. also I was thinking about getting the a55 camera but I found out that Sony is comeing out with the Sony a77 soon, so I want to wait and see what the Sony a77 can do and how much it will cost. I might get the Sony a77 or the Nikon D7000. : )

Sony has announced, that it will also produce a full-frame SLR, with the Translucent Mirror and the other super features from the a55/a77. I`m waiting for it. The lcd viewer is awesome, you can see in 16:9 1/1 for instance ( in M= manually ) al your settings and the foto result, before you take the foto. Realy amasing and very pratical.

@2point6x4 The only question remains. Why is the A55 head to head in image quality to the competitors even if only 70% of the light reaches the sensor. I guess its probably because Sony is non-stop developing and improving their sensors. Maybe its because the competitives are customers of Sony by buying their Sensors for their cameras. Not every Sensor but some of them are manufactured by Sony. D3000, D5000 D300 have Sony Sensors. And by the way the A55 was worldwide the camera of the year.

I think he is terrible, and no Sony fan, that is overclear. The first 5 min. i had the impression that he would probably throw the camara away.

I have the a55 and think it is a masterpiece. This camera will do things and more! and has a imagequalty (with my 16-80Zeiss 24-70mmZeiss and 70-200G) that only the highend Nikon/Canon will do, and for what price!!!. Now i`m waiting for a fullframe Sony with the a55 inovativ features and technoligi. By the way the viewfinder is excellent!!

Not sure how it is in Hong Kong, but American law states its legal to take pictures of people in public places, no matter who they are or what they're doing. And at least I don't find it disrespectful, however I am a photographer. I don't mind when people are taking pictures of me. Unless they're really shady and sketchy.

I own the Sony A33 am 64, and have two comments.

1) I think you were being a little disrespectful of the women you photographed. Those of us in our "elder" years may be a little slower as we get around, but we have earned every darn arthritic knee.

2) The camera is the best home consumer dslr type camera I have ever used, and I previously owned the Canon T1i. Put a decent lens on it, like I did, and it is a perfect walk around camera/camcorder.
