This is the Album that single-handedly taught me to take Hip Hop seriously as art back in the day!! I can't think of one Lyricist who might be able to match Ra without letting the beats ever overrun them on this Track!! - A true benchmark in Emceeing!!!!
@maxdett90 Lil Wayne is the best rapper ever...who is Rakim? where is the beat to this btw? hopefully you know by now I am lying and that I am here to enjoy this song
Brother thank you thank you THANK YOU!!! I'd give anything to go back to 1980's. We had the real shit back then...WE DID!! I don't give a shit about no watered down crap autotune Lil Wayne bullshit, what the hell is he even saying anyway? I'm so tired of hearing abut the money and money grubbin bitches and 36 inch dubs on a Crown Vic. Man just take me back to the days of LL, DMC, Kool Moe D, Kane, cuttin an' scratchin an BREAKIN!!
In my opinion, the best rap song ever written. The lyrics delivery, and raw sound has, to this day, not been duplicated. Modern day rappers need to throw it up to Eric B. and Rakim for their contribution to the evolution of rap. Nuff said.
Damnnn! It's good to hear this again. This beat just keeps on pumping and pumping new adrenaline an inspiration. Rakim is like a lyrical samurai warrior.
im 14 And I love This Shit Eric B & Rakim , Public Enemy , Special Ed , Queen Latifah , A Tribe Called Quest , Big Daddy Kane , Biggie , 2Pac , Nas , Big L , DJ Quik , Bone Thugs n Harmony , Curren$y The Hot Spitta , Fiend4DaMoney , Soulja Slim , Trademark Da Skydiver , Wu Tang Clan , Method Man And Red Man , LL Cool J Rap , Common ............ NOT Lil Wayne Or J Cole Or Young Money Or All These Wanna Be Rappers And MCs Of This Generation Where Hip-Hop Isn't Dead But IF Things Don't It WILL Be !
@TheDalvinShow J.cole actually lives up to his potential. I wouldn't be so quick to judge him. His mixtapes previous to being signed by roc nation are dope. Check out his songs Dead Presidents, Lost Ones, Dollar and a Dream, and Lights Please. They all hold great lyrics and deep meaning. Although your list of MC's is highly respectible, hip-hop doesn't always have to be aggressive.
(cont.) if this were about rock, you think these young punks know frank zappa or ccr? throughout history, many young folks just follow the flock of sheep, but some have hope cuz they know the older stuff & like it. maybe you're just a provocateur, cuz you surely knew that if you say "fuck hip hop" on a rakim upload, you're gonna get dissed. fuck lili gaynus & drake da fake, etc , but let us embrace hip hop. mc'ing, dj'ing, breakin', graf, & the 5th, beatcrafting aka, production. ask kris.
@jdbankshot ITS FUNNY HOW U MENTIONED CELPH TITLED BECAUSE HE ACTUALLY HAS A SONG WHERE HE HIMSELF SAYS " FUCK HIP HOP. " BUT ANYWAY EVERYBODY IS ALWAYS TRYING TO DEFINE THIS FUCKING MOVEMENT AND THEY CAN NEVER GET IT RIGHT. KRIS HAS A DEFINITION OF IT. BUT THATS HIS DEFINITION FROM THE WAY HE HAS LIVED IT. ITS NOT MINE. AND IF HE CONSIDERS PRODUCTION BEING A 5TH ELEMENT THEN I WONDER WHAT POPPING, BEAT BOXING, LOCKING, AND HOUSE PARTIES ARE ALL CONSIDERED SINCE THEY MAKE UP A PART OF IT.
@jdbankshot AT THE END ITS JUST A MATTER OF OPINION. BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT JUST BECUASE U HAVE THE RIGHT TO A OPINION U R RIGHT. TO ME THE MORE LOGICAL THING WOULD BE TO SAY THAT THERE ARE MULTIPLE ELEMENTS AND THAT THEY ALL MAKE PART OF THE MOVEMENT. NOT THAT THERE IS 4 FOUNDING ELEMENTS LIKE EVERYBODY CLAIMS. FUCK THAT! ITS ALL MADNESS TO ME. THATS WAT I DEFINE MY STYLE AS. I DONT EVEN HAVE TO GO BY WAT EVERYBODY ELSE CALLS IT. MAN I CAN GO ON AND ON ABOUT THIS.
@undergrounddeadmen good call. i just get passionate sometimes. some folks irk me & i respond, usually out of geniune emotion. but, yr right, fuggem'. thx for the shout, P.E.ace from montreal.
yo said, "you grab your heart and wish for tomorrow quick"...break it down, he basically saying that he will eat you up in a battle so bad, that you want to give up a day of your life. fucking wow.
research all you want about hip-hop white boys, if you have to research it then you must have never grew up bompin' wu-tang, 2pac, nas so many to mention id be typing for hours, i was lucky to hear the 90's, my brother and sisters where around to hear the 80's, they should me. I bet you anything eminem didnt get to where is now by researching lol im just saying hip-hop either is in you? or it isnt. simple as that.
@JrocTube1 , LOL funny thing is I see more white people bumping cypress hill, rakim, pac, nas, biggie, wu, nwa, kane, g rap, these days then our people they're too concerned with guccie mane & lil wayne. But alot of white like like bs to my sister goes to a majority white school & I see & hear those kids bumping lil wayne & company all the time when I pick her up sometimes can't help but laugh.
Fuck off with you dont need hip-hop, if you didnt? why listen to this? without it you wouldnt have any skills. none of you where around when ever the fuck the name hip-hop came about? so just love it and live in this moment, goofs.
@JrocTube1 IS UR REPLY TOWARDS ME??? BECAUSE I'M THE ONLY ONE DISSING THAT TERM. EITHER WAY BASING IT OFF UR COMMENT I GUESS U BELIEVE HIP HOP IS THE NAME. I STILL SAY FUCK IT. U WERENT AROUND THE TIME WHEN HERC CREATED IT EITHER WITH THE TWINS AND EVERYBODY WHO TOOK PART AT THE TIME. MATTER OF FACT MY HOMIE HAD A PIC OF THREE CATS IN THE STREET HOLDING A SIGN THAT READ, QUOTE " FUCK HIP HOP. GIVE ME A BREAK NIGGA. " THATS SOME OF THE REALEST SHIT I'VE EVER READ.
FUCK HIP HOP!!! RAKIM WAS RHYMING OVER BREAKS. NOT THAT WACK SHIT THEY CALL HIP HOP OR RAP THESE DAYS. HIP HOP NEVER EXISTED AND IT NEVER WILL. THATS JUST A TOOL TO MAKE MOTHER FUCKERS CLAIM A TITLE TO MAKE MONEY. THIS TRACK RIGHT HERE IS REALL MADNESS. I HOPE THEY BUMP THIS NEXT TIME I CATCH A CYPHER.
@2ill1313 um, ya, ok.....hip hop has existed since the fatback band in 76 or so... expanded into a true urban culture encompassing 5 distinct artforms. rap, however, is what you're referring to. the corporate raping of yet another pure art. btw, rhyming over breaks is pretty much as hip hop as it gets. the main problem is we got entertainment tonight calling lili gaynus, drake da fake, souljah toy, (f)akon, etc. , they're calling it hip hop, which it clearly isn't, it's pop hop.
@jdbankshot UMM, YA, OK.... HIP HOP IS A NAME INVENTED BY CORPORATE WHITE MEN. IF U'VE WATCHED DOC'S LIKE " THE FRESHEST KIDS " U WOULD EVEN HEAR HERC MENTION THAT THERE WAS NEVER A NAME FOR ANY OF THIS. BBOYING IN PARTICULAR. ALL THAT HIP HOP SHIT CAME AFTER ROCK STEADY AND DYNAMIC ROCKERS TOOK BREAKING MAINSTREAM ON TV SHOWS. THATS WHY I DONT BELIEVE THIS SO CALLED "HIP HOP" SHIT EVER EXISTED. THE ARTFORMS ALL GATHERED IN ONE BUILDING AND THAT WAS THE ONLY TIME THAT THEY WERE TOGETHER.
@2ill1313 herc is very bitter, i'd expect you to know this. i apologize for the delayed response, i'm a busy guy. by no means am i tied into labels, regardless of the topic... music, lifestyles, clothing, etc... however, in the modern day empty-v, mallrat, blingjiggy, pop hop world, having distinct terms may help in pointing lost kids in the right direction, as in rakim & krs are "hip hop", nelly & lili gaynus are "rap". besides, what YOU need or don't need has zilch to do with HIP HOP. egoego!
@jdbankshot NO PROBLEM. I HAVE A JOB MYSELF TOO. OTHER THAN THAT IF I WAS HERC I WOULD BE BITTER TOO. BEING THAT HE LED FIRE TO " THE MOVEMENT " AND NONE OF THIS PUNK YOUTH ( INCLUDING RAPPERS ) EVEN KNOW HIS NAME OR THE FACT THAT HE STARTED THIS SHIT BY DISCOVERING " THE BREAK " ON RECORDS THANKS TO THE BBOYS THAT GOT DOWN TO THEM AT HIS BASEMENT PARTIES. LET ALONE THEY DONT KNOW THE FOUNDATION AND THEY GO AROUND TALKING ABOUT HIP HOP LIKE THEY KNEW WASUP. HA HA!!
@2ill1313 well, i know herc & his music. so do you, it seems. if we exist, there are others. i'm pretty sure that modern day cats like celph-titled & vakill,etc(i could go on forever about the good modern shit) have nothing but knowledge about & respect for the origins. these young punks are the way they are mostly due to brainwashing & the pressure to conform created by this blingjiggy, empty-v, club dancefloor, party time formula shoved down all our throats. if we're talkin rocknroll...
@jdbankshot OTHER THAN THAT EVERY " ELEMENT " CAN SURVIVE ON ITS OWN. GIVE ME A CROWD TO CLAP AND I'LL START THE CYPHER. GIVE A WRITER SOME CAN'S OR MARKERS AND THEY WILL GRAFF ON ANY SURFACE. GIVE A DJ SOME TABLES AND THEY CAN SPIN ALL NIGHT ( NOT TO MENTION THAT A DJ THATS REALLY A DJ CAN SCRATCH, DISCOVER BREAKS, ETC... ). AND AS FOR A MC, A MC CAN RHYME WHENEVER, WHEREVER, AND MAYBE SOMETIMES HE MIGHT JUST BE A HOST. SO WHO NEEDS HIP HOP?? I KNOW I DONT. I GOT MY SKILLS.
this goes to show that nobody cares about if the rap is dope or not no more. proof? look at the views in this song, then look at mac miller's, wiz's, & lil wayne's
@techxdabruiser My homies and I was rapping back in the early "80s"when this came out...needless to say after we heard this we was like, we need to make a song with Rakim. Some of us did, the songs called "Game of Life". with Chilly Mac, Ice T, and Rakim...Check it out It's a Banger!!!! Warlords 4 life Baaaaaabaaaay!!!!
I was a teenager when my buddy introduced me to these guys. This album had just come out and he told me to buy Paid in Full as well, so I did,
I'm almost a grey-hair now, but this album has to be the best hip hop album ever and definitely the most progressive for it's time. Both Eric and Rakim were at their creative peaks, this song along with Follow the Leader and Musical Massacre are epic singles from the album. In my opinion KRS 1 and Kane should not be mentioned in the same sentence.
Touch the Third Rail, I'm The Pain and Remedy. Why Try and "Bar" me..You could'nt F-U-C-K around with "Ra" with a Army. He talking about Trying to see Him Bar for Bar .. It's only One Capable, Breaks-the Unbreakable, Melodies-Unmakable, Pattern-Unescapable, I Haunt if u want the Style I Possess , I Bless the Child, the Earth, the gods and Bomb the Rest.. So "Follow Me" and were you Thinkin' you were first? Let's travel at "Magnificent Speeds" around the Universe. "Follow The Leader "
rakim & this song right here.... crushes,ruins,obliterates, & destroys any & all of the bullshit gettting put out these days now, forever & beyond period.... long live the golden era of hip-hop & r & b 1980's-1996...
rakim &this song right here.... crushes,ruins,obliterates, & destroys any & all of the bullshit gettting put out these days now, forever & beyond period.... long live the golden era of hip-hop & r & b 1980-1996...
For those who find it hard to believe, and it is Why they call me the God MC, the lyricist Trace this down to the roots from Genesis The world wonder, Im still standing like pyramids Design so vivid, every brick it got a story to tell My rhyme flow different like a hieroglyphic Mind prolific, infinite, like mathematic The first language, now add that, and add graphics (Go head) Then go let the blocks know its the gospel Lifes new manual, so watch close
@countrykidcackie.. i did the same thing.. he said a matter of life and death just like an etch a sketch shake till your clear disappear then make the next.. are you effing serious?
This joint is SICK!!! When I first heard it back in the day I was like WTF?? Kept rewinding the tape over and over and over. Did he just say that? How did he phrase that? Rakim is the greatest rapper lyrical wise of all time in my book.
And everyone wants to debate about todays rap lyrisist...........Come on man. Probably the hardest lyrics Rakim has ever wrote. Oh! And please listen to " Don't Sweat the Technique"
@XxKsEoWnSxX what about eminem?? hes not as good as the rappers back then.. hes a rap god so dont say theres no hip hop anymore try listeneing to not afraid or no love
@kidsonthebloke oh Yeah Eminem is my favorite rapper of all time i just saying that all most every artist not just eric and rakim, were lyrically great but today its just eminem and his crew. All of my hope is on Eminem to bring back this kinda hip-hop
Every MC wishes to be like Rakim. many try all fail. they say biggie n pac are the best but always fail to mention one of the greatest lyricist to touch the mic.
"Imma tear you apart, but imma spare you a heart..." "...battle's temptin, whateva suits ya..." "How do I plead to homicide?? Lyrics of Fury!!!" RAKIM the Untouchable... This is how it SHOULD BE done!!!!
when the Lord calls 4the god Rakim the whole hip-hop world would then only acknowledge the greatest loss of the genre, omg all his shit will b re-mixed and young kids will then come to know his work. it would easily b the saddest day of my life. peace
@MrAloo14 Hey your comment is wrong. the beat that is used for drum and bass is the amen break from amen brother by the winstons, this is the funky drummer by james brown
@MrAloo14 I knew you'd say some dumb shyt like that. Son, listen, TECHNO COMES FROM HOUSE MUSIC.
All that silly ass drum, bass, jungle and other shyt y'all are doing comes from STARS AND STRIPES. Your singers do such a good job impersonating Americans that we don't even know they're not American. Everything out of england for the last 100 years has been an imitation of American music. They haven't created ANYTHING to inspire us or for us to imitate. Neither has anyone else. Follow The Leader.
@the2ndmills Man please, there is no English music without them imitating American music, from Robert Johnson to Motown to Jimi Hendrix. There is NO electric guitar without Les Paul. Take your delusions of English, British music elsewhere.....
@the2ndmills Research the origins of so-called "electronica". There is NO english electronica w/o House music and the Amen loop. And don't talk about American-impersonatoras like Led Zeppeling, David Bowie, Loose Ends, Norah Jones, Lisa Stansfield etc. There is literally NO English music without copying, emulating and trying to sound like Americans. The fact that you're American and don't know this shows just how clueless we are. Americans flattened this planet, bro, no one else,.
Everything from England for the last 100 years has been an imitation? LOL. And what was your American anthem? An imitation of a British tune! Music is human, son. It does not matter whether or not it's English or American or fucking Mongolian. You know what you Americans should do? Make some actually GOOD music again. That would be so cool to see, wouldn't it? You must be a troll, though, so I don't expect much from losers like you. 100 years? Bullshit, son.
@TheCanadianPrairies Wait a CANADIAN is trying to talk to an American about creating things. Fool, EVERYTHING YOU ALL DO IS AN PALE IMITATION OF AMERICANS. Michael Buble, Justin Bieber, your rock groups, EVEN THE SLANG YOU USE ON THIS POST COME FROM AMERICANS. Your entire national identity is based on the fact that you havent' and never will be anything BUT IN THE SHADE OF AMERICANS. That's why I was so angry when we didn't beat you losers in hockey. Your entire country would need PROZAC.
LOLOLOLOLOLOL! Obvious troll is obvious. Why don't you go back to 4Chan or wherever you hail from and try to troll properly? You're so full of shit that you're like a Brokencyde song. Utterly worthless.
What you don't like all these Canadian imitators of Americans like Drake and Bieber? lol The American music and entertainment industry is owned and run by NON-AMERICANS posing as Americans. They have systematically destroyed every form of quality and real creativity from American music from the 1970s forward- from Jazz, to rock to pop to hip hop and r&b. Go listen to Professor Griff of Public Enemy talk about the music game and who's really behind it. You're so ignorant. lol
LOL. Everyone knows you're a loser. You could do the video uploader a favour and stop posting your bullshit onto the comments section. Maybe some time trying to help improve America instead of milking long gone days for personal validation/stop being a troll will help you out? Fucking losers on this site, I swear...
And our good music....it's all over the place it just rarely gets the light of day. Take TOOL for instance. Lateralus was the best, most profound album in the history of rock. Never heard a word about it from the so-called "Grammys" or any of these other bullshyt shows. Take the late, great hip hop super producer J. Dilla, the father of that Tribe Called Quest sound that was landmark in hip-hop. Never heard a word about him on MTV or BET but he's all over youtube. Madlib is another.
MTV and BET are victims of the American Idiocracy. Geez, who would want to idolize an obese and stupid nation like America? I pity the intelligent and civilized people therein. I pity you too, cavaleer. LOL. Naming yourself after a European position of nobility and knighthood? LOL. America wouldn't even exist without Europe! Remember that, son, when you shit on the world.
What the fuck? Dude, Americans be playing European classical music and making their own shit based directly ON European classical music. It is obvious that you're a troll just by seeing how you neglect how America's been "impersonating" Europeans. Why don't you go study how to troll better?
@TheCanadianPrairies You fools are CORNBALL LOSERS. Nice, hard-working and all BUT CORNBALL. Just like Brits. That's why EVERYTHING RELATED TO STYLE YOU COPY OFF AMERICANS. EVERYTHING. You and the rest of the fuking planet. I'm glad to see your jealous, hater blood coming to the top. You limp-dik faggots didn't even have enough balls to conquer the French so now you have a half-country in the middle of your country. That's you YOUR ENTIRE COUNTRY WILL ALWAYS RIDE AMERICA'S COATTAILS.
LOL! Faggot? Limp-dik? LOL. Typical internet e-thug.
You know it's sad when you're such a fucking loser that you have to actually think the spreading of America's lifeless excuse for "culture" (Jersey Shore, crap music, Twilight, etc) as a good thing for humanity when it really isn't. Jealous hater blood? LOL. You wish, pal. What are you smoking over there? The MTV must be getting to your head, nigga. So must be the lack of a decent education system. Uncle Sam needs to do better.
@TheCanadianPrairies Hahaha, you're so ignorant. At the turn of the century the Chinese and their emperor wanted to learn how to do The Fox Trot. Guess where that came from??? European classical music reached its peak with Estonian composer Arvo Part? Ever heard of him you backwoods fool? American music broke from everything European in stages beginning at the turn of the century with Scott Joplin and Ragtime. But it wasn't until the '30s that our sound really began. The world has followed.
Look at how you followed Russia into space just because you want to be "better" than Russia, lol.
Look at how millions of American teenagers were raised on British Invasion era bands and those clearly influenced by them.
Look at how you continue to use a British invention (internet), probably watch a Japanese made television, and so on. Look at how your education system gets assraped by better ones overseas.
@TheCanadianPrairies Bro, where was the first TV made? WHO REBUILT JAPAN SO THEY COULD EVEN MAKE A TV??? Who taught the Japanese the principals of big business?? A Canadian??? ROTFLMAO.
You like all LOSERS always want to talk about being "human." lol That's because you can't talk about anything Canadian but hockey...and um MAPLE SYRUP, the symbol on your flag right.
And if we do take something from another country, like the guitar, rugby and cricket, WE AMERICANIZE IT.
ROFL! You're obviously a failure. Do you think you're really impressing anyone 'round here? Nope. You're just acting like a typical wannabe tough guy spewed out of the AIDS ridden ass of America's public education system. Last time I checked, many parts of the world were AHEAD of you Yanks. Stop trolling, son. Just admit it. Say it with pride. I am a troll! Say it.
LOL. And I could say Americans ONLY went into space at all because the Soviets had. LOL. The first TV? The earliest advances that led to the birth of the television were developed IN EUROPE. On March 25, 1925, Scottish inventor John Logie Baird gave the first public demonstration of televised silhouette images in motion, at Selfridge's Department Store in London.
On December 25, 1926, Kenjiro Takayanagi demonstrated a television system with a 40-line resolution that employed a Nipkow disk scanner and CRT display. Americans halted his research and a prototype sits in a Japanese museum. Also, we are ALL human. Canadians have plenty to talk about. Diabetes research, Terry Fox, Juno Beach, Laura Secord, Vimy Ridge, etc. Americans were inspired by EUROPEAN and JAPANESE advances. Hell, ENGLAND was the first Industrialized nation.
See? This is how much of a failure at trolling you are.
The Japanese knew big business from the Europeans, dipshit. They had Prussians and British among them during the Meiji Restoration. Ever hear of Rangaku? Long before the Meiji Era, the Japanese knew of the modern world from Dutch traders in Nagasaki. French advisors were a favorite in Japan back then. LOL. You like all LOSERS are ignorant of the facts. Your words are as worthless as (c)rap music.
@TheCanadianPrairies Damn you're such a friggin IDIOT. The Meiji restoration had NOTHING TO DO WITH EDWARD DEMING TEACHING THE JAPANESE THE ESSENCE AND TENETS OF HOW TO RUN MAJOR COMPANIES. I lived in Japan when I was 17 you fukin fool. Besides, WHAT COUNTRY REBUILT JAPAN AFTER BLOWING IT TO BITS???? Ohhh Canada...or however your corn-ball song goes. A Prussian general was one of the keys to our Revolutionary War- you feel better now, cornball. You're a LOSER- always will be. Face it.
Continued displays of ignorance. You do realize that Japan was open to the Dutch long before America ever came? Hell, they had English and Portuguese merchants centuries before America was born. They even had foreigners in Japan in the same century as Perry but BEFORE him. And Americans weren't even the only foreigners there. LOL. Nice trolling, son. Too bad it sucks.
Ever hear of Rangaku? Dutch studies. The Japanese were learning of the modern world LONG before Perry sailed.
Ever hear of Jules Brunet? William Edward Ayrton? Georges Hilaire Bousquet? LOL. No one is doubting America here, bucko. We're saying that there's more to the world than you. And what's to stop America from falling apart like Rome and Britain did? Your nation's decaying anyway. Stop trolling. We all know you have no life so fuck off already, lol.
@TheCanadianPrairies Of course there's more to the world than Stars and Stripes. I never said there wasn't. But the ONLY reason there is any talk of "globalism" is because America has flattened the globe. Even the recalcitrant Chinese have had no choice but to play our game. Once we get rid of foreign manipulators and fake Americans like Obama, Bush, Clinton et al, and get real Americans in charge of this country, you'll see things the world has never dreamed.
Real Americans? You mean the ones who want to withdraw America FROM the world? LOL. So you're turning from a troll into a second rate Michael Savage. Very interesting. I doubt real Americans would have appreciated you bashing all the other nations, though. A true patriot gives credit where due and learns to make friends, not enemies.
@TheCanadianPrairies Withdraw America?? Damn, son, you're really clueless. Savage is a parasite, demagogue, just like Lumbaugh. Like I said, we've had them for a long time. It comes with the territory of being at the center of the world. It also comes with democracy. It did in Athens and Rome.
LOL. You do realize that Athens, Rome and all the future empires fell, right? American hegemony isn't permanent. Damn, son, you're really clueless. All the "real Americans" I've seen preach the same old isolationist stuff in the end. Let me guess. You've stocked up on ammo and food, right? LOL. It's sad you can't even admit America has flaws yet you keep saying it's been infiltrated.
@TheCanadianPrairies You really seriously have no reading comprehension or memory. I never once said or even implied that America was "perfect" or didn't have problems. We have serious, serious, serious problems, the biggest of which is the whorehouse called Washington DC. It's been that way since James Monroe was in office. But that's what we get for copying the warped British. But all of our problems come from excessive wealth, freedom without standards and rights without responsibility.
So you're saying that every President since James Monroe has been evil? LOL. You must be too radical even for your fellow conspiracy theorists, right? You're telling me about reading comprehension? You? Really? LOL. Stop trying to speak like you're actually educated. I liked you better when you were typing like the troll you were.
Also, it's what you get for sucking corporate cock. Don't blame the British for your own failures when the same forces would love to rape Britain too.
@TheCanadianPrairies Dude, you're truly an idiot. lol I said we've had a whorehouse in Washington D.C. since Monroe. I didn't say a word about any other president. Damn. I know you don't work for Arcteryx. They'd show your azz the door real fast. hahaha
"the biggest of which is the whorehouse called Washington DC. It's been that way since James Monroe was in office"
Epic fail, son. You said the whorehouse CALLED Washington DC and said it's been that way since Monroe's term, basically saying every president since him was shit. I just quoted from your own comment. And if you find it and delete it, it proves you're a failure even more. Some real American you are. You're just as blind as those you want to be superior over.
@TheCanadianPrairies And speaking of foreign things, and the rest of the world, my favorite outdoor, all-weather gear is made by a CANADIAN company- Arcteryx. Not to mention how much I love my Italian shoes, suits and cars.
Trade is trade. But Stars and Stripes are a breed apart. And no, I haven't heard of those Frenchmen. J'ai cesse etudiant l'histoire Francaise au lycee........
Trying to save face now with kinder ignorance and prejudiced thoughts? First you were pretty much shitting on the whole world and now you love various things from them? LOL.
@TheCanadianPrairies But the question is why the fuk do you care about a couple of Frenchmen and a Brit if you're talking about "Ohhhh...Canada".....Only a cornball,. loser Canuck would do something that lame. lol
You do realize we've been talking about more than Canada, right? Epic fail, son. I bet you had to Google everything I told you, didn't you? So much for the great America's education system. LOL. Your nation can't even answer 2 + x = 4 according to your own military! So much for the Stars and Stripes being ahead, right? They can't even see past their own fucking protruding guts and MTV. Canada, Japan and Europe have surpassed you, son. Get over yourself.
All you can do is rabble about America's past. You can't even defend America's current state. Can't even tackle me on it. You're a fail troll who knows shit about the world. LOL. Americanization sure would be cool if modern American culture actually offered something worth a damn. But it doesn't. It hasn't since the 1990s.
@TheCanadianPrairies LOL. Lots of projection going on their Maple Syrup. I never brought up Canada or America's current state of affairs. The one thing that's clear to me though is that any country that still has a clause in their constitution that says the QUEEN must approve of something- is only barely a country. Y'all are like some Caribbean island or some shyt. lol America hasn't mattered since the 90s?? Really? lol. Like I said, you need something to crow about.
LOL. You obviously fail. Can you read? You've been bringing up Canada all this time. You obviously know nothing. Hell, you can barely even type right. Some education system down there, eh? I was talking about modern American culture, not America as a whole. And, lol, your government's not that good anyway and you're bitching about ours? We have a Queen and you've got corporate puppets, lol.
@TheCanadianPrairies No, actually the point is I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CANADA AND I CLEARLY DON'T NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CANADA TO TALK ABOUT YOU.
That's the point.....that's why I can talk about your country and all you can do is talk about other countries. Clearly, I don't need to know anything else, other than I like the gear from Arcteryx. lol
You mad, bro? Caps lock truly makes your point seem better right? LOL. I LIVE in Canada. I think I know it better than you do. You've been talking about Canada and shitting on it and other nations. That's the ONLY reason I came to talk to you in the first place. LOL. You're the one who first started talking about Japan, Germany, etc. I can easily prove that.
Jesus, man, come on. Be a real American and stop acting like the sheeple, lol.
@TheCanadianPrairies No you just don't seem to get the point, so I need to make it crystal clear. When did I mentione Germany, other than than one of the many countries who eat up American culture?? Ditto Japan. Both for at least 70 years. Sheeple? Your whole COUNTRY is sheeple. lol Like I said, once we get rid of these parasites, y'all might suddenly find the balls to follow our lead. Until then, grin and bear it cause y'all aren't doing shyt but following the leader.
Everyone eats up American culture. I've never denied that. But since you're a troll, you need to keep bashing the histories of others. That's why I'm here. My whole country is sheeple? LOL. So there are Americans who aren't sheeple but every person in every other nation is? Jesus Christ, son, do you even bother trying when you troll? Nothing you say is true. Hell, you're not doing shit. What have YOU done to help "real Americans"?
1. Rakim
2. Nas
3. Big Daddy Kane
4. Kool G Rap
5. KRS-One
Forget the rest.

In my opinion, the best rap song ever written. The lyrics delivery, and raw sound has, to this day, not been duplicated. Modern day rappers need to throw it up to Eric B. and Rakim for their contribution to the evolution of rap. Nuff said.

(cont.) if this were about rock, you think these young punks know frank zappa or ccr? throughout history, many young folks just follow the flock of sheep, but some have hope cuz they know the older stuff & like it. maybe you're just a provocateur, cuz you surely knew that if you say "fuck hip hop" on a rakim upload, you're gonna get dissed. fuck lili gaynus & drake da fake, etc , but let us embrace hip hop. mc'ing, dj'ing, breakin', graf, & the 5th, beatcrafting aka, production. ask kris.
jdbankshot 2 months ago
2ill1313 2 months ago

THATS JUST A TOOL TO MAKE MOTHER FUCKERS CLAIM A TITLE TO MAKE MONEY. THIS TRACK RIGHT HERE IS REALL MADNESS. I HOPE THEY BUMP THIS NEXT TIME I CATCH A CYPHER.
2ill1313 2 months ago
@2ill1313 um, ya, ok.....hip hop has existed since the fatback band in 76 or so... expanded into a true urban culture encompassing 5 distinct artforms. rap, however, is what you're referring to. the corporate raping of yet another pure art. btw, rhyming over breaks is pretty much as hip hop as it gets. the main problem is we got entertainment tonight calling lili gaynus, drake da fake, souljah toy, (f)akon, etc. , they're calling it hip hop, which it clearly isn't, it's pop hop.
jdbankshot 2 months ago
2ill1313 2 months ago
@2ill1313 herc is very bitter, i'd expect you to know this. i apologize for the delayed response, i'm a busy guy. by no means am i tied into labels, regardless of the topic... music, lifestyles, clothing, etc... however, in the modern day empty-v, mallrat, blingjiggy, pop hop world, having distinct terms may help in pointing lost kids in the right direction, as in rakim & krs are "hip hop", nelly & lili gaynus are "rap". besides, what YOU need or don't need has zilch to do with HIP HOP. egoego!
jdbankshot 2 months ago
HA HA!!
2ill1313 2 months ago
@2ill1313 well, i know herc & his music. so do you, it seems. if we exist, there are others. i'm pretty sure that modern day cats like celph-titled & vakill,etc(i could go on forever about the good modern shit) have nothing but knowledge about & respect for the origins. these young punks are the way they are mostly due to brainwashing & the pressure to conform created by this blingjiggy, empty-v, club dancefloor, party time formula shoved down all our throats. if we're talkin rocknroll...
jdbankshot 2 months ago
2ill1313 2 months ago

I was a teenager when my buddy introduced me to these guys. This album had just come out and he told me to buy Paid in Full as well, so I did,
I'm almost a grey-hair now, but this album has to be the best hip hop album ever and definitely the most progressive for it's time. Both Eric and Rakim were at their creative peaks, this song along with Follow the Leader and Musical Massacre are epic singles from the album. In my opinion KRS 1 and Kane should not be mentioned in the same sentence.

@MrAloo14 Hey your comment is wrong. the beat that is used for drum and bass is the amen break from amen brother by the winstons, this is the funky drummer by james brown
royalefreshness 11 months ago
@MrAloo14 It's not UK's answer to hip-hop it's just another example of Brits and the rest of the world Following The Leader......Stars and Stripes.
And actually this sample isn't the basis of drum and bass. It's the sample from Straight Outta Compton, the Hallelujah Break or something like that.
But we always pioneer new paths and break new ground. It's not different with House music damn near taking over the whole of england. Nothing new....

MrAloo14 11 months ago
@MrAloo14 I knew you'd say some dumb shyt like that. Son, listen, TECHNO COMES FROM HOUSE MUSIC.
All that silly ass drum, bass, jungle and other shyt y'all are doing comes from STARS AND STRIPES. Your singers do such a good job impersonating Americans that we don't even know they're not American. Everything out of england for the last 100 years has been an imitation of American music. They haven't created ANYTHING to inspire us or for us to imitate. Neither has anyone else. Follow The Leader.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer haha, I love hip hop and most forms of music. but england owns in rock and roll and electronica, maestro.
the2ndmills 11 months ago

TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@the2ndmills Research the origins of so-called "electronica". There is NO english electronica w/o House music and the Amen loop. And don't talk about American-impersonatoras like Led Zeppeling, David Bowie, Loose Ends, Norah Jones, Lisa Stansfield etc. There is literally NO English music without copying, emulating and trying to sound like Americans. The fact that you're American and don't know this shows just how clueless we are. Americans flattened this planet, bro, no one else,.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
LOL. No English music without copying Americans? None whatsover? You're obviously a troll.
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago

Everything from England for the last 100 years has been an imitation? LOL. And what was your American anthem? An imitation of a British tune! Music is human, son. It does not matter whether or not it's English or American or fucking Mongolian. You know what you Americans should do? Make some actually GOOD music again. That would be so cool to see, wouldn't it? You must be a troll, though, so I don't expect much from losers like you. 100 years? Bullshit, son.

Your entire national identity is based on the fact that you havent' and never will be anything BUT IN THE SHADE OF AMERICANS. That's why I was so angry when we didn't beat you losers in hockey. They have systematically destroyed every form of quality and real creativity from American music from the 1970s forward- from Jazz, to rock to pop to hip hop and r&b. Go listen to Professor Griff of Public Enemy talk about the music game and who's really behind it. You're so ignorant. lol

TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago

What the fuck? Dude, Americans be playing European classical music and making their own shit based directly ON European classical music. It is obvious that you're a troll just by seeing how you neglect how America's been "impersonating" Europeans. Why don't you go study how to troll better?

Jealous hater blood? LOL. You wish, pal. What are you smoking over there? The MTV must be getting to your head, nigga. So must be the lack of a decent education system. Uncle Sam needs to do better.
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies Hahaha, you're so ignorant. At the turn of the century the Chinese and their emperor wanted to learn how to do The Fox Trot. Guess where that came from??? European classical music reached its peak with Estonian composer Arvo Part? Ever heard of him you backwoods fool? American music broke from everything European in stages beginning at the turn of the century with Scott Joplin and Ragtime. But it wasn't until the '30s that our sound really began. The world has followed.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
America isn't exactly a pioneer, son.

@cavaleer
Say it.
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@cavaleer

@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
Face it.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
You mad, bro? The Meiji Restoration is what made Japan originally head towards Westernization. LOL. Fail trolls, can you believe them?
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies Continued displays of ignorance. Two words. COMMODORE PERRY. Now please take your Canuck ignorance somewhere else.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies Of course there's more to the world than Stars and Stripes. I never said there wasn't. But the ONLY reason there is any talk of "globalism" is because America has flattened the globe. Even the recalcitrant Chinese have had no choice but to play our game. Once we get rid of foreign manipulators and fake Americans like Obama, Bush, Clinton et al, and get real Americans in charge of this country, you'll see things the world has never dreamed.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies Withdraw America?? Damn, son, you're really clueless. Savage is a parasite, demagogue, just like Lumbaugh. Like I said, we've had them for a long time. It comes with the territory of being at the center of the world. It also comes with democracy. It did in Athens and Rome.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies You really seriously have no reading comprehension or memory. I never once said or even implied that America was "perfect" or didn't have problems. We have serious, serious, serious problems, the biggest of which is the whorehouse called Washington DC. It's been that way since James Monroe was in office. But that's what we get for copying the warped British. But all of our problems come from excessive wealth, freedom without standards and rights without responsibility.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies Dude, you're truly an idiot. lol I said we've had a whorehouse in Washington D.C. since Monroe. I didn't say a word about any other president. Damn. I know you don't work for Arcteryx. They'd show your azz the door real fast. hahaha
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies And speaking of foreign things, and the rest of the world, my favorite outdoor, all-weather gear is made by a CANADIAN company- Arcteryx. Not to mention how much I love my Italian shoes, suits and cars.
Trade is trade. But Stars and Stripes are a breed apart. And no, I haven't heard of those Frenchmen. J'ai cesse etudiant l'histoire Francaise au lycee........
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
Trying to save face now with kinder ignorance and prejudiced thoughts? First you were pretty much shitting on the whole world and now you love various things from them? LOL.
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies But the question is why the fuk do you care about a couple of Frenchmen and a Brit if you're talking about "Ohhhh...Canada".....Only a cornball,. loser Canuck would do something that lame. lol
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies LOL. Lots of projection going on their Maple Syrup. I never brought up Canada or America's current state of affairs. The one thing that's clear to me though is that any country that still has a clause in their constitution that says the QUEEN must approve of something- is only barely a country. Y'all are like some Caribbean island or some shyt. lol America hasn't mattered since the 90s?? Really? lol. Like I said, you need something to crow about.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies No, actually the point is I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CANADA AND I CLEARLY DON'T NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CANADA TO TALK ABOUT YOU.
That's the point.....that's why I can talk about your country and all you can do is talk about other countries. Clearly, I don't need to know anything else, other than I like the gear from Arcteryx. lol
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies No you just don't seem to get the point, so I need to make it crystal clear. When did I mentione Germany, other than than one of the many countries who eat up American culture?? Ditto Japan. Both for at least 70 years. Sheeple? Your whole COUNTRY is sheeple. lol Like I said, once we get rid of these parasites, y'all might suddenly find the balls to follow our lead. Until then, grin and bear it cause y'all aren't doing shyt but following the leader.
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
Nothing. Stop preaching if you can't act on it.
TheCanadianPrairies 11 months ago
@TheCanadianPrairies Again, I said Japan and Germany, YOU said....everyone. Troll?? lol hahahahaha
cavaleer 11 months ago
@cavaleer
YOU said everyone. You kept saying how America's flattened the world, etc. Really, son, try harder.
