1) It is harder on a downslope (head higher than your butt)- you can't rest at all at the top of the pose. It's easier the other way (head lower than your butt) because you can't come all the way parallel to the floor.
2) Do every exercise you can to strengthen your core- planks, reverse crunches, weighted crunches, etc. Also work your upper back, shoulders and arms- all get used in this exercise! Let me know how it goes for you!
@Kehrosuki Totally agreed. 3 sounds trivial, but if you can do three of these in a row, thats an accomplishment! but a lot of people cant even bring their knees to their chest.
This is a tutorial designed to help people get started doing dragon flags. By working the negative portion of the exercise, you build strength so that you can do both the positive AND the negative- to do both immediately is to much to ask for people to do!
I don't know if I can do one of these, but I'm sure gonna try!

thanks! I have two queations...
1. Is it easier or harder on a slanted surface?
2. What should I do if i have problems even doing negative flags to prepare for the real thing?

it would be a different world if everyone did 3 a day

Agreed. It's ridiculous that so many people get back pain, and spend so much on treatment, all because they didn't put their core to use.
