Strange how the words of Emerson make pictures of nature and religious music go together like they were born for each other. That's the Transcendentalist magic.
What an inspirational video. It really brought tears to my eyes as it reminded me of who we are (the soul). Bravo! and thank you for sharing! I'll be looking for more.
@SongFrench Once again I must thank you for taking the time to post a comment, and the fact that it was such a beautiful one makes it all the sweeter. Your kindness actually helped me to remember that we at heart are divine beings. Thank you:-)
ho i get it thank a lot Ralf Waldo is using "man" as human as including women and men. I was wondering because around the time there was still a lot of sexist ...
I'm not sure I understand your question, but the term man is of course usually used as meaning all of us. From the point of view of a sage, I don't think terms like man or woman are of great importance as we all are divine souls.
From my understanding: A sage is a fully enlightened human being: a man that has realised who he truly is - a divine soul. He lives as one with his soul - always.
It's more than his credentials. I've read many a 'sage' with his head completely up his rear-end. I don't think I've ever read anyone who just flat-out floored me with profundity like Emerson does.
Paul Brunton actually says that Emerson was the most illumined mind in America of the 19th century. From my understanding he was a fully enlightened human being, something most of us realize when blown away by some of his writings, for we then know that he is talking from personal experience - like when he says "the soul is light."
Ralph Waldo Emerson, an amazing and rare individual, thanks for putting up this tribute video to this wonderful and unique individual who gave us a glimpse into the other hidden world, the hidden world within the mind of man.
My pleasure. I feel that the wisdom of Emerson is needed today more than ever, and that he still has a very important part to play in the future of your great nation. Thanks for your kind comment.

Emerson 'got it', didn't he?

He was a great sage and one of America's greatest ever sons, so yes, he most certainly 'got it'.
