  • I listen to this music, I see this picture and then I look out of my window and ask myself what we did wrong.

  • Omnomnomnom.

  • My God...

...just listen to the music, guys...

  • everytime i hear this song, somewhere deep down i feel how human race has changed since the past times. Man has no peace and no honour. I mean look at us. We have become a pathetic remnant of the true human being modeled by our forefathers. But at the same time I also feel that the human race will once again come to full realization. We will once again turn back to truth and peace. Man will once again find the Way Of Life.

  • True religion teaches us that we should love our close ones, respect everyone, help the poor and the weak. There is no bad thing in beeing rich, if u can help those unfortunate. But us ppl don't seem to understand this simple rules, because we are lead by greed, power and coruption. We won't change, only if something terrible happens on earth will change us ...

  • everytime I'm pissed, this song throw me in complete serenity, a surrendered soul to the wave of music.. eternal peace being felt and all anger, suffering and madness melt down.

  • @vudurabbit Gtfo bro.

  • again a good film that i will not be able to see.... miss you mu.

  • beautiful movie

  • zimmer is a wizard. everything he does is magic.

  • it touches right the middle of my heart, amazing feeling

  • A wise man once said to me: Religion is like a penis. "It's nice to have one, or not to have one. Just don't start waving with it and shoving it down our throats." He had a point, that wise man.

  • #homeworkmusic

  • Like this and try to go to sleep with this playing quietly, it really works if your having trouble sleeping! + try to imagine walking through a filed full of blossoming flowers in japan with the sun in the sky! PEACE.

  • The true intention for making this movie is simple

Revolution of the people about something evil or unfair

and this film have been removed from the sites CD's and Blue rays in my country because of it's motivation to make A revolution

And we're still fighting the evil government leaders with simple weapons like rocks and stuff like that..

My country name is bahrain and you can read about our real story it's more like this movie

  • @FartingMan100 the internet says you have a bit more than sticks and rocks to fight with and the movies not about revolution against leaders. I want you to watch this again and make me a 300 character summary of this film due Friday.

  • @FartingMan100 unfortunately for your country, seeing as bahrain is attached to the uae which has support from the USA the western media is going to and has downplayed the revolution in bahrain, they've hardly talked about it even though your's started before libya, but keep on with the fight and they will eventually have to pay attention

'homeland or death, we will win' thomas sankara

  • I have watched this movie 16 times, know al the japanese parts by heart.I beleive that this

was Tom Cruise's best performance in a movie.Seing him cry when he returns to see the

Emperor ,this is not the Tom Cruise I know. The scene when on the battlefield where the

Samurai commits seppuko, oufffff. These were all magnificient actors,

    loong the learner

  • @chucksapiens ..something something darkside something

  • great movie. shows how a normal man, trying to run from his demons while being held "captive" learns to ultimately forgive himself for what he has done, then finally find whats beautiful in life and death.

  • Pff.

  • If I could I would go to that village and live out my days in peace and tranquility. Unfortunately urbanization has halted this. And so without being able to find a place such as this. A dream it will have to stay.

  • The Japanese have lost all this world now, but retained its essence in their hearts.

  • I used to be a samurai, then I took an shuriken on the knee

  • I am working on a new project, it was my dream to create some kind of monastery for buddhists who no longer wanted to live in an materialised world. And wanted to live in peace and in an strong philosophical community, by the time I finished the plan, and told a few people about it, it turned into half a village because everyone was interested.

  • true masterpiece

  • the romantic version of samurai, presented in countless Japanese stories and modern media, are admittedly badass. like Hans Zimmer's music :)

  • samurai were originally just regular soldiers and mercenaries, with no more regard for any code of honor than their European contemporaries, generally. By the 1700s and onward, Japan was relatively peaceful, so the samurai and their descendants starting making up the Bushido code and writing poetry to make themselves sound relevant and cool. By the time of the Meiji Restoration, the remaining samurai were little more than useless bullies who had inherited their land from other useless bullies.

  • coś pieknego sprawia ze czlowiek wierzy w cos wiecej niz tylko dobra materialne a dobro i wartosci ktore gdzies tam sa w nas samych tylko musimy w to uwierzyc

  • this song should fit really well in to an rpg game, or mmorpg, a calm and beautiful place where u can wander in peace

  • A great music for a great film! My favorite!

If you also like japan/samurai-movies, then check out this really good movie:

    13 Assassins (2010)

  • @unnown099 i agree with you and thx for the movie its awesome

  • ''No Mind'' Life is not full of moments, it is the moment... Dont worry about where u live.. Find yourself and youl be at home..

  • This song is so epic! That I just went to the store and bought the movie in BlueRay Haha :)!

  • Has anyone of you ever wonderder what your life would be like if you had lived in the times of the Last Samurai movie and perhaps even in Japan? I know I have, and I would seriosuly like to know for sure, which on itself is absurd but meh .. lol

  • man this is so beautifull ! i cried

  • I will change my way of life, one day, one day...

  • A NEW WORLD OF PEACE & JOY, In a new earth and a New heaven, this is what Jesus Christ died for, so that we may have eternal life though him. Where only Love, Peace, Joy, Grace, Hope rules forever & ever with our God.

    Peace be with you all.

  • @Qrious93 Ironic, however, how many lives were taken away, or how many people are prosecuted just because of this "god" and a bronze age book, despite their honor and courage.

  • @Qrious93 dont mention god and your christian cancer on a page which is about a culture who thrived from spirituality - there is a HUGE difference between a spriritual culture (samurais and buddhism) and an organised cult (christianity + nearly all other main religions) which seeks to enslave and manipulate people..

  • @ShnuckFuckle Oh you sound like a cocky biased fagg0t. Tell me one reason why Buddhism is more spiritually saturated than Christianity or for example Hinduism. By placing one religion above another, you contradict the very concept of Buddhism.

  • @ShnuckFuckle Im totally agree with you on this point. Being myself Buddhist, I do not see the presence of God and Jesus in discussions on the country of the Rising Sun. However, wonderful music. Thank you for this online, TheHighKingFingolfin. Please, forgive my poor English. Thanks. And, as the wise old man says, Futsu wa subarashidesu

  • @ShnuckFuckle

You are so right, christians are such retarded fucks, and muslims are even more retarded.. Even on my school they're 'reruiting' people for christianty cause nobody believes their bullshit anymore. Pathetic fucks.

  • @Qrious93 I really liked your comment until it was full with the jesus christ and god thing.

  • Comment removed

  • @Qrious93 its not always about god. you know that right? first of all. all religion is based on the ancient visitations of extra terrestrials. "ascending from the heavens" so on and so forth. my point is, there is peace within us all. the first problem all humans have is looking for peace and searching for all the answers without. examples are God, Allah, Jesus, Muhammed. stop looking without, and start looking within. true peace lies within.

  • @XxGaneshxX those who claim to see are blind and those who are blind will see. i forgot the verse for that. you claim to see and know the answers but you dont. men claim to know what they do not and those who dont claim to know, know. which is why i wont claim to anything, rather let my lord do the talking for me.

  • @XxGaneshxX Jesus Christ said 'The kingdom of God is within you'. So your last sentence is as christian as it could be.

  • @Qrious93 Keep your imaginary friend to yourself, thanks.

  • @Qrious93 The Bible preached peace--throughout history its followers did not.

  • @Harbinger10892 to an enormous degree you are right, unfortunately. But one day, there will come a time, in a place, where religion is persecuted, and all the things Christians will be killed for, will be the same as what their enemies are doing. People are gonna get killed. You don't need a bible, or lack there of to do it.

  • @manxhedghog Don't hate me for this but I would much rather live in a world dominated by science--where religion is now obsolete. You don't need religion in order to have life morals.

  • @Harbinger10892 the grass would seem greener, but I am sure in our lifetime we will see something like that. We can face it then.

  • @Harbinger10892 Off course you don't need religion to have life morals. But what is the value then of those morals is something else. The Christian faith is not there to give morals, but to adjust and change the morals you already had, to help you to be transformed, to repent and to be able to come in a mystical unity with God, which is eventually the goal of man before he dies. Plain worldly morals are not able to lead you there.

  • @Harbinger10892 Yes they did. They wo did not preach it, can not be regarded his followers, regardless if they called themselves that way. They who did, are usually not known, but are known by those who look for them.

  • @Qrious93

    christ denied.

  • @Qrious93 I mean no offence by this, I respect everyone's beliefs, but the fact that this is symbolizing Japanese culture and you're praising Jesus and God is somewhat innapropriate.

    Peace to all

  • @Qrious93 There are many Christ hating people around here. They seem not to accept the peace you wished them. So may it return to you then.

  • If life were only like this...

  • I think a lot of us, can feel touched after seeing a movie like this, however, it is important to remember, that this movie presents a very romantic view of that age. Not all in the samurais, were honor, respect and spirituality. They had to obey to the emperor, and if the emperor was a unsensitive and vicious conquer, Samurais, just had to follow that, massacring several times, hundreds of villages with inocent people. So, I think that all ancient cultures had its bright and its dark side.

  • @chucksapiens like everything in this world

  • @chucksapiens I definetly agree and all hollywood films to a certain extent are glamourized. However, I think what this film was trying to portray was the true route to happyness. Simply put, have a purpose, protect and perfect that purpose daily while living a clean healthy life.

Everything else was just entertainment (and good entertainment it was).

  • @chucksapiens circle of life, humans are too imperfect

  • @monsterTHEgreat1 Yes, they are :P

  • @chucksapiens I agree, and it should also be mentioned that it was the Samurai mentality and warrior code embodied in bushido that permeated much of Japanese thought and policy during WWII. This philosophy animated Japanese aggression in the 20th century including the invasion of manchuria and the attack on Pearl Harbor, and it found expression in Japanese miltary tactics such as the kamikaze and banzai charge which epitomized the Japanese doctrine of emphasizing the offensive over defense.

  • @chucksapiens best of time and the worst of times. Same can be said about the Urban Areas.

  • @chucksapiens Not just the ancient cultures that's just the human race

  • @chucksapiens The whole movie is about the conflict between the Samurai and the Emperor, and you're saying they had to obey the Emperor. Samurai plural is samurai. And the movie is set in the 1800's.

  • @chucksapiens Thank you for your insight. Thank god you're not one of those people who idealize this movie.

  • @chucksapiens I came to the same conclusion after reading Hagakure

  • @chucksapiens

    Ofcourse its extremely romantic,

The european knights had almost the exact same ethics, morals etc.

Just a different way of spirituality. samuaria's no different

  • @chucksapiens I think, as a humanist, the human race must see both the good and the bad. No doubt, humanity has had a bloody past, but it is important not to dwell. This movie is a representation of that. We are a selfish race, because we believe we will have tommorow. But you are not promised that. Your life may well end tommorow. This movie is a beautifull representation of that. Learn from history, but live for today and the beauty and wonders it has to offer. Good day brother.

  • @AVEYoungCeasar thats a brilliant quote right there.

  • i just feel a need to paint when i hear this music:) so inspiring and calm

  • @MrRucknroll yup few ppl know that :s why they was hating chinese so mutch?

  • @shadowfury01

the japanese in that time thought the chinese as inferior and sickly and the true power of asia was japan. But its changed today cause there's human rights and everyone's considered equal.

  • may the samurais attack your house 'the people who dislikes this video' i mean it

  • i think this is the most beautiful song I've ever heard, apart from 'Rondeau' of Abdelazer Suite by Henry Purcell

  • Makes me want to learn Kendo.

  • Its amazing how music can give u such a nice feeling

  • So i see that everybody here cries like a litlle babies but the real question is what did you do today to make this world a better place , what do u want from your life... what is your deepest fear young man....??

  • naruto copied this??? D:

  • una delle più emozionanti e rilassanti melodie degli ultimi tempi..!!

  • The world will be better off DESTROYED by some atomic war or astroid collision or something, because today's world stinks and full of shit.

Only money concerns ppl. Too many ppl and too much hate. The cycle of everyday life stinks and meaningless.

  • @TheVrdlfe The way of life now would appear to be meaning less and demimondaine, sorrow is the watch word of the day, depending where you go, but this has not changed from then and now.

But this dose not need to be so. Destroying the world will not save all the good things, things that modern man takes for granted, the cool summers breeze, the blue of the free sky, the sound of trees, the smile of a loved one... the darkness of men's hearts, cant be allowed to destroy these things.

  • my dream is to life in a japanese villiage like tom cruise did in that movie. fuck all those expensive cars, lust for power, all this fake people, and fuck the money.!

  • @gsftb This.

  • @gsftb Yeah man.. far away from lady gaga, big brother, facebook, polution, greed, bosses, tv shows, taxes and so on..

  • @gsftb build your japanese village... but you need to have money lol ....

  • @TheNuclearReactor well you didnt understand what i was trying to say, i guess. ;)

  • @TheNuclearReactor And for what exactly would you need money. I mean for the woodm you chop a few tree's, for the axe you need to chop the trees you make it from bracnhes. So I would to hear for what would you need money...

  • @gsftb

i think a quiet world, where Trillions are worthless and money is not worshiped, is the world's best future.....but the question is, will that future exist at any time??

  • @Xanothikan hope never dies. people do.

  • @gsftb The villigers would hate how much you swear.

  • @gsftb I simpatise with u..same here...fed up of this systeme of life..but we can dream can we?.. :)

  • @gsftb

You wanna be the cliche white guy that saves the' "uneducated" outsiders?

  • @aznpwnerp no i just want to live in a village similiar to the one in that movie

  • @gsftb have you seen japan? it's like one big new york city... probably the most urbanised large country in the world.

  • @jobjed yes ive seen it.. its terrible, at least the urban regions

  • @gsftb i have the same dream :(

  • @gsftb

Those villages doesn't exist anymore. ://

  • @HippieLuzzu i know.. and thtat is a huge problem for the humanity.

it shows exactly that that i would say 75% or even more % of the people were overwhelmed by the idea of egoism or striving for power. even i can see myself beeing unfairly egoistic in some situations. after beeing that way in a situation, i ask myself "why did i do that - that was unfair and unnecessary". as a little boy i used to be more selfless that i am (still) today. imo the society today is a virus for itself.

  • @gsftb

Indeed man... we spend too much time trying to have the car that we always wanted, but after we have it, it's just a car like any other...

But this way of living, is something that gives you the feeling of being free and happy.. and this japanese society gives you time enough to yourself, to think, to BE yourself. etc.. :P

  • @gsftb Yeah right. Like you would stand 12 hours of farming every day. Be realistic.

  • @KirkAwesome you didnt get the point... >.>

  • @ninjabastard666 it dose not "touch or G-spot". For me at least it roles back the curtain of detect that has been draped across the world, and reveals it for what it real is. Bad. and it reminds me that is is so because of the actions of man, that once the worlds was Innocent and beautiful and now to think it so, would be a pleasant fiction.

  • @1169Timothy now you just sound like some kind of pussy assed homo. just shut up before you make yourself look like a eunuch.

  • @ninjabastard666 And you sound like an arrogant dumb shit that is the cause of the problems in the world today. Shut the fuck up before you show off more of your self.

  • @1169Timothy faggot

  • @ninjabastard666 nice come back. Much as I expected, people like you bring out the worst in people. Good day.

  • @1169Timothy grow some balls you eunuch, you're not a man.

  • @ninjabastard666 I have compassion for humanity and thus I am not a man? You are sadder than I thought.

  • @1169Timothy Folks I don't want to interject in your argument but.....it's music. Beautiful music to be sure....but music. You're getting revelations and rolled back curtains from this song?

  • @leatherneck1061 I don't really know. The song sounds so pure and spiritual. I tried to listen to it so that it would take me to another place, to another time. Haven't you ever listened to a song that make you imagine a time gone by? A song that gives you glimpses of a world that is lost because of change and "progress"? This song dose that for me, it helps me imagine a time where man was a little closer to the natural things in life, where the spirit was strong and respected.

  • @ninjabastard666 i bet u cried ur eyeballs out but u just wont admit and think ur though saying this bs, much love 4 u my man, u need it. :)

  • another good song, another page full of pussy ass comments

  • this is a truly moving soundtrack, this song gives me the creeps. always when I'm listening to this song, I become aware of the fact that most of the people have lost their relation to nature. That makes me really sad...

  • @Ribery763 There are still few that walk the path, that small light in the darkness gives hope.

  • I was listening to this at Spa World :)

  • I clean my katana Kothari Hanzo, drink sake, look at the fallen leaves of cherry .... oh and this beautiful sunset.

  • best tom cruise movie besides colleteral. if that says anything... but this movie was really good

  • ho is the tragic hero in this movie? anway...verry verry good song!

  • @alexkrat92 Katsumoto played to perfection by Ken Wantanabe, couldn't have found a more suitable actor for the role.

  • beautifull music

  • This song makes me get in touch with my Japanese side. And I'm not Japanese.

  • This movie, and this music, are a testament to the beauty we can achieve. It touches your very soul, gives you a glimpse of a world where the simplest of things can remain so profound; honor, respect, love, nature. It shows us something truely worth fighting for, and reminds us to hold on to what is really important. At least that's what I took from it.

  • Never has there been such a contrast in the society of a country in such a short period of time. r.i.p feudal Japan. Weird to think men in japan went from, suicide on command, to every bloke having straightened hair and skinny jeans and not looking anyway masculine.

  • Free Replay Button 0:00

  • 95 people didn't have taste in music

  • @tahayksel21 just because u like this song it doesnt mean that everyone should love it

  • @tahayksel21 pero 4915 sí tenemos buen gusto xD

  • I would like so much to find that inner peace ..

  • 95 people didn't find inner peace

  • @mmalover1991 that was how many years after the tru samurai had died?

  • @Ribery763 blame american ignorence, its what had the samurai killed.

  • The way of life, honor, spirituality, a sense of purpose, being one with nature. I can only imagine how disgraced and disappointed the people of japan in the samurai era would be to know how the future turned out. Abusing nature, no real sense of purpose in life, no honor, disrespect to others, i doubt the next few years will be joyful.

  • @Ribery763 I think that people from all nations who lived during the 1500s-1600s would be 'disgraced' with how their respective nation has developed, but that would be because essentially everything about our world is different today.

  • @Ribery763

It's kinda sad that there are people these days, who seem to have no purpose to live for, even I am searching what my purpose may be.. The life of a samurai back then seemed to be very very honorable, one with nature etc.. Like a dream to be honest.

  • @Ribery763 I truly hope you are wrong. Live well. *bows*

  • @Ribery763 I think all of our ancestors would be disappointed.

  • @Ribery763 Your comment has touched me deeply.

  • @Ribery763 i can only imagine how disraced they would have been to find out that they actually trained tom cruise.

  • Comment removed

  • @Ribery763 well i dont really know what you are talkigna bout, ahve you ever been in japan?

  • @Ribery763 Well said my friend.

  • @Ribery763 im sure they would be disapointed in the dishonarable acts of the japanese in ww2 where they would torture people in this fashion WARNING GRAPHIC (they would dislocate every joing in there body, cut out eyes ears and tongues, break most bones in the body, stab them in teh stomach with knifes, pull there nails off , cut off there penis and put it in there mouth and lastly cut off there head) and the japanese soldiers in ww2 though of themselves are honorable people

  • @Ribery763 But we can make the difference...

  • I'm a eurasian and chinese eurasian at that but as much as i love the samurai etiquette this belief system was used in ww2 by the japanese when they slaughtered thousands of innocent chinese men women and children, its not such and honorable thing when you look at perspective.....

  • @mmalover1991 well u can give the best ideas to men and they will use it in the worst way..

If they ever discover an infinite source of energy im quite sure they will try to use it as a weapon and not to solve the problem of humanity.

  • What type of music is this called?

  • @Suarezzftw This particular performance has no genre category, it is simply called Hans Zimmer. =)

  • @Suarezzftw orchestall soundtrack i guess

  • lessons from the past remain your honour something we all forget all old cultures lifed for honour traditian and to be part of nature. we modern cultures lost our way becouse we grew up to fast becouse or technical develupment let us hope that one day soon we can be yet again balanced with ourselfs and nature so we can live in peace and harmony becouse thats the true way forward the way of honour for the whole united human race

  • with bravehart best touching soundtrac masterpice ever!!!!!!!

  • Sem palavras ....é só para ouvir..Linda !!

  • muita mente,no mente...buscar la quietude de la mente....

  • I am man and i don't care what you think of my answer but i can say i dont have other words i have only tears in my eyes.

  • I remember when I listened to this Soundtrack the first time it was 1.8 Million views....

  • How can music give me such feelings, thoughts, dreams... This is amazing... This kind of music has a real power on me. One of the most beautiful thing men ever created...

  • @ArcHelios117

+1 here. I show this to alot of my friends, and they dont have the same reaction as I do.

I think that this isnt something that you can choose on liking, this is auto-like imo, you just need to open your mind, believe in yourself, and trust on this song.

I use this on my gym, it works, it pumps me up, it gives me strenght to keep me going, and it's AWESOME.

    Jah bless my friend.

  • beautiful :)

  • nothing more beautiful than being in the moment

  • @MrBleuAigle i agree with you. Although money exists for 3000 years its was made out of gold and silver( or iron and coper) so they couldnt make billions cause they didnt have so much gold. Now they print money out of thin air and e-banks exist.. U cant live in a town without money since u need to buy ur food. And u need to work for it, so there is it! U are forced to work for some1 for a piece of paper to survive..

  • @rurounisld

It's been proven that back in history, when we still lived in clans, that the avarage human worked an avarage of 4 hours a day. Quite funny isn't it :P.

  • @sablehhh well my grandparents used to tell me they used to work in the fields all day during the harvest ( 1 week) but in average they used to work way less than 8 hours.

Each different seasson of the year they were fishermen, farmers, hearders and sometimes they were siting w8ing for the seasson to change.

Its rediculous that despite all this progress and technology we have to work 8-9 hours/day while there are millions of unemployed ppl.

  • @rurounisld

Well, people are like SO brainwashed they doesn't even think this way. They care about having a good life, and well, you know what I mean basically.. Its kinda rediculous but yeah. Hope it'll change sooner or later.

  • @sablehhh part2 :D

That is if u ignore the facts that in the factories of asia ppl work all day for pennies ( china).

This is economy they say, i say its cannibalism!

    greeting mate.

  • @rurounisld

Exactly, for instance in cloth factories.. They work for pennies, take make our cloths for pennies en we buy them for like 10x what they earn each month.. I got told that they earn like 15 euros a month in some of these factories. Just imagine that we buy cloths for 50 euros average.. How rediculous. They are forced to work in factories to be able to make a living, and the rich people only get more rich this way, I dont like this world, as I dont like economics at all :p Greetings!

  • @sablehhh yeah im with u. i dont like the <<economy especially the term global economy or the world and the way of life its forcing upon us!

Ur example reminds me the Cort industry and what they did to the korean workers.( u can find it on the tube).

I hope ppl will wake up soon and see the greedy bastard above our head pretending to be our rightfully monarch..

    Greets mate.
