Dr. Dobson wants a Bible-believing Protestant male for president, but there's none out there. Who wants Republican presidential candidates who belong to cults: Rudy "Il Duce" Giuliani (Cult of Rome Papist, like Sean "Lou Costello" Hannity) [and a social liberal ethnic, to boot], and Mitt Romney (Cult of Joe Smith).
All the vulgar comments and none of you really seem to have commented on the video or it's content. God bless and hope you all will KNOW Christ before He comes after those who have accepted His gift of everlasting life.
James Dobson is a sanctimonious prick wielding an ungodly (and I do mean ungodly) amount of power with the religiously retarded in this country. His brand of bullshit was used on me as a child in an attempt to brainwash me. Thankfully, it didn't work. To watch this waste of space spew his crap now is nauseating. Focus on the family, my ass...
It isn't that Hanitty is a nutcase. Hannity is ROman Catholic. And part of what he and mainstream media (All Coulter, Laura Ingram, Oriley, all roman catholics) try to do is brainwash you into voting for Roman Catholics.
They care little whether they are actually any good. They know if they are ROman Catholic, the Pope ultimately has control of America.
Notice how he said Gulliani hangs out with Alito and Scalia, both roman catholics. a big roman catholic party
There is a vast difference between a liberal elected AGAINST the will of the Republican party, and a moderate/liberal elected BY the Republican party.
If Hillary is elected, at least the Republican party can fight against her liberal policies and block them, and rally around a conservative agenda. If McCain is elected, then the Republican party has no recourse.
Why do people put so much value on how a presidentail canidate feels about "pro-life" issues. Do you people really not get that it doesn't matter what the PRESIDENT thinks or feels about an issue. HE (or she) doesn't make laws. That is done in the house and the senate. Who cares what a canidate says about an issue. What can they do about it anyway. Not to mention, does anyone really believe that Roe v. Wade will ever be overturned? Get real people. You are living in a fantasy world.
The President appoints justices to the Supreme Court.
Abortion rights is an interpretation of the 14th Amendment. Many conservatives think this is a misinterpretation of the 14th amendment.
Bush appointed two conservative judges to replace a conservative and moderate judge. Another conservative appt will make the majority conservative and likely overturn the ruling.
I am an evangelical christian, and I think it's very sad Dr. Dobson can't understand what Sean is trying to explain him. What will he gain by supporting a third-party candidate? One thing: Another Pres. Clinton.
Dobson needs to wake up and listen to Hannity. He didn't really give an answer other than the pro-life, pro-family is out the window if Giuliani wins. By the way, if that happens . . . WHO CARES! The upcoming generation of Republicans are being more and more socially liberal.
The only integrity he has is in the christian right. Everyone else knows all he's doing is supporting whoever hates women, gays, and non-Christians the most.
He is actually taking a stand on the issue of a babies' right to life (which should not even be an issue in our country, seeing murder is against the law). He cannot in good conscience support a candidate who is against the rights of the unborn. And quite frankly, neither can I.
That's a WHOLE different argument, and like many it tends to get out of hand, but what I can say is that not everybody shares your views on what constitutes a legal person.
It is true, at the heart of the issue is that question: when is the developing human, considered human? At conception? At 3 months? At 6 months? Five years after birth? People are not considered to be fully developed, mentally and physically, until they're an adult. If we allow life to be extinguished at any point in the process, it's wrong.
The question of life, since philosophers pondered it, is a question of consciousness, not the level of development. Those two views are irreconcilable, though, lest we call ALL life protected, beyond human life and into that of animals, plants, and simpler organisms. Either that or, as you suggest, we are all fair game. On this issue, we NEED to work in degrees, lest we succumb to hypocrisy.
If we say all life is sacred, or that no life is sacred, then there are no boundaries. However, establishing a middle ground (I'd suggest second trimester) would be sound, because it acknowledges a point where life logically begins without protecting relatively arbitrary states of being such as a blastocyst or a first trimester fetus with basically the same physical structure and mental capacities of an earthworm.
Yeah.. good luck with that. He'll get his ass handed to him the general. Your buddies in the south wont exactly flock to the polls to vote for a snobby flip flopper from Massachusetts who doesnt own a gun or drink alcohol. Or caffeine.
I'm interested in this race because it looks to me like the beginning of the end for the people in charge of the GOP.
If McCain becomes president, where does that leave Hannety, Robertson, Limbaugh, Dobson and Coulter? They're better off if McCain loses so they can run someone they control against Hillary in 2012.
Another Clinton presidency will likely bring about another conservative revival like in 1994.
What I'm saying is this: McCain is not owned by the far right GOP leaders.
If McCain wins the white house, this will cause an erosion of conservatives in the party as independents, moderates and liberal republicans gain more influence.
On the other hand, McCain losing to Hillary will make for four years of liberals, but the GOP thinks they can beat her in 2012. And then they can use a candidate they own and stop the erosion of conservative power in the GOP.

That's the difference between Hannety and Dobson.
None of the power brokers in the party (Hannety, Limbaugh, Coulter, McConnell, Boehner) want McCain bc he's independent.
However, many of them will take him rather than lose the White House to Clinton or Obama; Dobson on the other hand, wouldn't bc of his convictions.
