  • what can you use to glue nerf guns when doing a mod

  • Wait so do you actually drill the AR 0:40

  • do you just drill straight through till there is no plastic left in the inside, or just take out the one big plastic spike.

  • I'm not covering my gun in foam

  • @jnhq20 its the inside...

  • Whats an AR?

  • @CheckeredLemons1 the term AR means air restrictor

  • When you drill out the AR, do you also have to drill out the spike that holds the dart on?

  • @123dukesfan That is part of the AR, so yes.

  • PLz go to sugarcube381 and watch Barricade Rv-10: My Review!!! comment!!

  • i did it but i can't load it with the stock/arm rest on the back of the gun or the gray bit

  • I bet if you replace the O-ring for a slightly thicker one (which should be hard to find) should also increase pressure.

  • smart idea with the foam 4 the empty spaces

  • WHAT SIZE DRILL?!?!?!?

  • @acrazyguy14 whatever fits into the plunger tube...

  • @Rbt208 k.

  • please make a firing video

    my friend has a raider

    and some foam tubing

    and a drill

    and a screwdriver

    and electrical tape

    and mighty putty

  • @BioformerCorviz No need too. The only difference between this and a stock variant would be further range and louder firing.

  • @Rbt208 what's a stock variant?

  • @BioformerCorviz Stock. What you get off the shelf.

  • @Rbt208 stock like "in-stock" not the thing that you can attach to the back

    right?

  • @BioformerCorviz Stock: A nerf gun without any mods, bought off the shelf, a brand spanking new nerf gun

  • this video is actually trust worthy, i have just completed modifying my raider and it works heaps better! i was really hesitant about drilling out the 'AR' but it works just fine, money no wasted!

  • sex

  • how the hell did you get a drill-bit that long

  • @Blackhawck50 he drilled it from the other side, what do you think?

  • @qeipzcvbm Still is a really long drill-bit. Look at it.

  • whats the range for just ar removal?

  • @wurmify You'll get at least 5 more feet out of it.

  • @Rbt208 dood thats shit thats like 1.5 meters!!!

  • can i just plug the hole adn put tape on the back

  • @sailor5687 Yes, if that's what you want to do.

  • If I only remove the ar and dont do any of the other things, will it still work?

  • @jcmoovee Yes

  • I don't understand what he means with the electrical tape, please help. He said cut Half around or something... Does that mean you rap it in tape and only cut half of it

  • 0:51

    Bow Chicka Bow Wow.

  • what does the electrical tape do?

  • @indianacheckers Compress the spring a bit more.

  • Did it, works well and was like the only video I could find so it he

  • i thinked it was easy and secure

  • lol something/someone

  • I dont have a dill, how can I take out the AR without a drill?

  • @RammaRITOORITO Ram it out with a sharp object or screw driver. I don't recommend it because you would destroy the tube itself.

  • @Rbt208 is it for sure? or theres a chance that i wont destroy the tube?

  • @Jeronwong I don't know which post you're replying to, but if you are talking about removing the ar by bashing it out, then there is a chance that you will destroy the tube.

  • i took mine apart, but had to put it back together without any modding

now the front handle won't slide

any ideas? i'm desperate for help

  • @remotecontrolaholic check if the springs/ parts are all in correctly

  • you idiot. you dont have to remove the fucking silver screws...

  • thanks for the video, I bought one for work the other day ^^

  • now shoot somthing/someone lol

  • Is it hard to cock? Can it still rapid fire with out any problems?

  • It's still easy to prime, and it can still do slam fire.

  • Ok, kool. Thanks!

BTW I meant to say slam fire.

  • Where do you get this foam and what type of foam is this called?

  • Lowe's. It's called foam backer rod, or something similar to that. It should be at the weather stripping section in the store.

  • can you do slam fire

  • yes.

  • I can't drill the thing out for the life of me (My longest bit is too short for the plunger side and too fat for the other side) and I don't have pliers that aren't fat as hell. Only thing I can see that I could do is get the plunger off of the rest of the shaft but I dunno if they do. Argh. Maybe I could just cut in half and plastic weld later? XD

  • mine is a shorty, i took off the barrel past the clip thingy, and took out some internals, then i cut a slot under the clip thing, and bent the metal rod into a handle that comes out the side slot and then bends down, then back up, to form a handle shape

  • i dont think im gonig to do this

  • Can you poke out the AR with a screwdriver?

  • You could, but it would be really difficult and you could destroy the tube.

  • Hm. Probably not going to try this

  • good idea

  • i just wouldn't do the drilling part

  • can you still Slam shot (hold the trigger down and pump shot)?

  • Yes.

  • whats the foam for

  • Silence the gun a bit and to prevent the plunger tube from smacking against other parts so hard.

  • IT HELPS REDUCE THE NOISE

  • most concise and informational video I've found, thank you

  • Its called dead air elimination btw. x)

  • do you have to foam the plunge?

  • The air restrictor creates a cushion of air to slow the plunger so it doesn't impact hard. Since we removed the AR, the foam stops the plunger from heavily impacting the bolt. You can put the foam onto either the bolt (plunge?) or the plunger. So long as the foam absorbs the shock of impact, you should be good. People who don't do this can have their gun break (see Somebodyhelpme2009's comment).

  • well i have the receipt, but is it ok to use a simple household glue?

  • The gun doesn't break immediately, just sometime down the road. If you mean that white craft glue, I'm not sure. I would use superglue or glue from a glue gun, personally.

  • i have an idea on modifying a spring by strenghning it and giving it some more force by superheating it (not to much,or else you might melt the spring would say about at least 200-500 degrees , you replace base pairs of it's atomic structure with carbon to be a carbon composite spring thus strenghning it

  • oh yeah FTW on my previous coment on moding the spring,DONT FORGET TO RAPIDLY COOL THE SPRING AFTER HEATING IT IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK

  • DO NOT DO THIS MOD

    It destroys your gun!!!!!

just like the recon the raider requires the air restrictor to cushion the bolt coming in

without it it will eventually smash through the gun!!!!! DO NOT REMOVE THE AR!!!!!

  • He puts the foam on it do prevent that. Know your stuff man.

  • you put on the foam god

    not that hard

  • great instructional video, 5 stars, i would reccomend showing a video on how to put the gun back together though for all those newbies that cant mod for shit, even though its something as easy as a raider. not as complex as the longshot or vulcan.

  • Why would I make a vid on how to reassemble the gun? Either remember what you did or watch this vid backwards somehow.

  • i only would if it was as hard as the longshot, nvm

  • so you mean drill through the ENTIRE TUBE..

  • yea. drill right through it.

  • What diameter drill bit?

  • and it works fine after the mod?

  • Of course.

  • There is one. It's called the Titan,

  • i like the idea of putting foam backer rod in to reduce noise

  • can you use a screwdriver and hammer to remove AR?

  • yea, but it'll be harder to do.

  • can you make a video on how to reasemble it please

  • retard

  • i want to know if anyone has broken thier raider by drilling the AR and if a screw driver would be better

  • Wait, at the beginning it says to take out the circled screws in a still shot, but when the video footage starts the screws are still in, the spring is gone and he just pulls the tube out... Explain? Also, is it more complex or couldn't you just take off the cap under the shoulder stock and drill through the plunger without taking the whole thing apart? Just wondering...

  • I just unscrewed mine. You can take the screws out if you want. Then I pulled the spring out.

You have to take it apart. This is like a Recon. If you just take off the stock and grey cap and drill through, you would destroy the reverse plunger and waste 35 bucks.

  • what does the electrical tape do?

  • It compresses the spring more.

  • What did you use to plug the hole?

  • I used a little hot glue.

  • my dad wouldnt let me use the drill -_-! so i had to do it the old fashioned way with a philips head screwdriver and my bare hands O.o

  • Wow nice job.

  • the only problem with doing that is that it kind of bends the tubing a little and it has these white stretch marks on it but it still works fine

  • O.o

  • umm...ok...

  • so thats how you do it... well ill be doing that right now.

    p.s. thanks
