i BURST INTO TEARS WITH THIS GEM. HOW COME SOMEONE BE SO SENSITIVE. ELTON YOU DOP KNOCK US ALL DOWN ALL THE TIME WITH YOUR OUT OD BOUNDS TALENT. WHAT DANGEROUS TINY LITTLE BRITISH MAN, ELTON JOHN AND ILUMINATED BERNIE TAUPIN
Your cover of "First Episode at Hienton" is spectacular. Quite frankly, it's better than Elton's own performance on the "Elton John" album. How I wish your audio quality was better!
hey nice job man. You chose some great songs to cover. King must die, Indian Sunset, Need you to turn to. . .The early 70's was his best era. You should do Goodbye from 'Madman' :D
Does anyone know if ELTON ebver played this song live? I have NEVER heard of a LIVE performance of this great song...one of my 10 favorite ZElton songs...so tender and beautiful. he just CAN'T write amelody as innocent as this anymore because he ISN'T this innocent anymore .This song is a time capsule.
Your piano playing is wonderful. I'm just starting to learn and I wonder how did you start and what should I do to get to the level that you are? What are the best ways to begin and how long did it take for you to master this?
Thanks for the kind comments. The best way to begin is first commit to begin. If you play by ear, or even if you read, begin by exploring keyboard harmony and the patterns on the piano. I started to play piano when I was about 12-13. (continued)
Study with an instructor who knows how to teach improvisation, and listen closely to your favorite pianist and emmulate what they do. eventually, you will get in touch with your won style.
Thanks very much for the comment. I have been recording covers of Elton's more 'rare' numbers, and am presently on 'Don't Shoot Me...' (working my way through his early albums.
I'd like to invite you to subscribe to my channel for future video posts.
Most excellent rendition of a difficult song to play ...... a real gem from Elton & Bernie, song writing at its very best.

Good question. I have never run across any live EJ versions of this song.

'Rocket Man' by Stanton p. 206
EJ performed this in 1971

That was a beautiful version of one of my favorites from that album.
