Water is h20 or 2 parts Hydrogen and 1 part Oxegen...the most common way free hydrogen and Oxygen bonds on earth. Oxygen is an explosive, and Hydrogen is an explosive when separated but as water is inert. The portable fuels cell just separates water into into it' explosive components on demand rather then driving around with a tank fuel of Hydrogen like the Hindenburg

Yep, His calculation on Water to fuel is wrong as the inefficiencies in the Combustion engine are still there and not all Hydrogen is burned and most of the reformed water ends up in the exhaust . the metal parts involved in the engine tends to fucken rust and crap out from rust after a while as well in the "on demand" method of genrating Hydrogen though using stainless steel sparkplugs and fittings helps some (You use 2x-3x more water then gas on average)

Actually, all you need is a conventional battery to begin the process and then you can power it on water, and recharge the battery with regenerative braking (same thing used to recharge batteries in hybrids).
