@AaronH9111 This game can be a little short if you try very hard at it but after beat normal mode you get to play on hard mode once you unlock everything and let me tell you hard mode is really hard!!!! it was about since I beat that gamer hard mode so bacically there is a good amount of gameplay

I really dislike the 3rd person view, i really enjoyed the first person on gamecube more, also, i didnt like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Somethings with Metroid on the wii doesn't ring to well with me, i think this is more of a controller based game and not a wii-mote controlled type game. Also, i'm not hating on the wii, it is a great system and i play it all the time, i just dont think metroid games are right for the wii system. I think it looks great, i just wish it was for a diff system.

I hate how, the developers being team ninja, they made samus' arm cannon extremely skinny in an attempt to feminize it and make it look sleek

@unorthodoxJ It is obvious to me that you're not a Metroid fan. This suit is EXACTLY the same suit Samus was wearing in Super Metroid. There are no changes in the arm cannon. Retro Studios designed a different powersuit because they thought it was a good idea -.-

@unorthodoxJ I see what you mean. I noticed the cannon gets smaller on the tip, rather to be an all-straight shape. Now, something I wanted to talk about: Wouldn't it be awesome if Team Ninja released Metroid Dread for the 3DS? I mean, knowing that the 3DS has graphics capabilities similar to the Wii's, this could be a wise move for Nintendo. After all, no one knows what happened to Samus after the events of Fusion :(

@omghom Idk about Team Ninja but yes I'd like to see what a third party company can do for a classic styled Metroid game like Dread was/is supposed to be. I think it'd be great for the 3DS system based on what I've heard from it, and that new 3D aspect should give the classic style some freshness

Also yea I've noticed how no companies seem to want to continue after the Fusion storyline, choosing to stick with the older suit and make interquels instead

@unorthodoxJ Team Ninja did an incredible job with Other M, and it would be great if they developed Metroid Dread (if it ever is created). Maybe a multiplayer mode? Now that's an idea right there...

Still I think the series is better left being a one player game, maybe some supporting AI like we saw in Corruption but mainly Samus being the solo bounty hunter we love her for

@unorthodoxJ You're probably right. And yeah, online multiplayer in Hunters was kinda fun. I would like to see Dread with a linear storyline like in Fusion and Other M, it makes the game more interesting because developers can create a plot on top of it. Although sequence-breaking can be fun at times it can confuse the player to a point of frustration (this happens to a few players only, but it still happens).

@omghom Yea I appreciated the plot lines greatly, it makes me mad that Game Informer and the such criticized it for long cut scenes when a storyline should be greatly appreciated, but there has to be a way to still have a decent plot and not have the game be as linear.

And ha yes the fun of sequence breaking, like practically flying with bombs to get to places in the GBA ones, I'd like to see a Metroid game reference the term since the metroid games are the most famous examples

The only thing I don't like is that this game is chronologicaly between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion (the last adventure, chronologicaly). I'd prefer to see facts after all sequences.

But Metroid Fusion sucks. It's not a bad game, but it's not even close to Super Metroid in coolness and there's nothing special in Fusion, nothing that marked the game series as much as Super Metroid did.

Anyway, I can't wait to play Metroid Other M. This game looks so complete!!!!!!

I hate to say it, but after watching this trailer, I think the game looks horrendously complicated.

It's a side-scroller, a 3'rd person shooter, and a first person shooter by the looks of it. Oh, and they put God of War quick-time execution moves in there too.

And why, all of a sudden, are there other characters besides Samus? I liked the original games because it was just Samus all on her lonesome on dead worlds, long abandoned by civilization. The sense of alienation was really interesting.

prime was cool. echoes took a page out of linear gaming with the whole ohhh no dark version vs. real version! dark/light worlds dark/light juxtaposition. dumb. the plots of prime are BS if you ask me. it just looked cool. this game looks way to easy with a bazillion moves you can use to kill your enemies that just shoot you with a projectile or bump into you. boring. this plot is going to be BS as well. oh wait, there was actually another! and an excuse to show off samus.

No Metroid plot was ever great. Super Metroid was the best plot yet, and even that was nothing phenomenal, story-wise. None of the plots sucked, but they aren't anything special.

As for difficulty, Team Ninja is notorious for making highly difficult games, so I don't see where you're pulling that from. They've also been doing platformers, 3D and 2D, as long as Metroid. I sense no evidence that implies this game will be bad. Not from track records of the designers or this trailer.

Eh, so Samus gets infected by some made-up virus that she winds up eventually destroying the source of. At least Super Metroid had twists and turns and emotion at the end. Thats what made the story good. The rest was pretty mundane, though, yeah, but I still believe Super would make a better book or movie, for instance, than Fusion.

While the Story is the point of the Game through out the Series, I seek that out, since not fan of the Series. But, might as well just try a "New" Metroid Gameplay.
