Bablom is a violin critic idiot to say VM is like an average player. she has memorized every piece and then plenty more, wrote considerably, and plays like heifetz and is such a wonderful pretty woman model stylist entertainer with great pizazz, his comment is like a disgruntled high schooler who does't quite know what he's saying, yet inside he knows he's probably in the end just hot jealous a woman can out do even his own capacity to comprehend what he's hearing, yet i doubt hes hearingatall

I agree. She had incredible promise as a child. If she had continued on the classical route, she could have been a reputable soloist. But she chose another route, and it's worked out well for her.

Yeah, this is not the place for a debate. I am sure Vanessa-Mae can cope with the best. I have been at many violin concerts and I consider myself qualified to judge.

Hi, I do believe that you had no intentions whatsoever to of being arrogant towards me. So, maybe I was too harsh in using that word: sorry for that. Negative judgement of critics also make fans to defend their idol - it works both ways! I do believe she is a great technically skilled solo violinist. There is no such thing as one overall true judgement. We obviously differ in opinion. I agrre, she moves people and that counts!

This somehow sounds very disparaging and belittleling as if a passionate fan is not able to judge. In other words, my opinion is simple not valid. I want to distance myself far from such arrogant attitude. Don't worry about Vanessa-Mae, though. She is very self-confident and has a lot of self-esteme.

Vanessa-Mae does not think in terms of being, seocond or whatever, but more in ways of having fun and satisfaction for herself and her fans with what she is doing. Mentally, she is a very strong person, and way above the narrow minded opinions of her many critics.

Obviously we do not agree and that is fine with me. I just wanted to express that there are many people who consider Vanessa-Mae as a great and talented violinist. Let all judge for themselves. That is all I want to say here.

I guess Vasko Vassilev and prof Felix Andrievski do not agree with this point of view, and there are many more who support her. Vanessa-Mae meets a lot of skepsis among classical purists because she chose her own pathway to devop her career. I have seen Vanessa-Mae playing The Four Seasons and The Devils Trill sonate live and she was just amazing. Also her vesrion of Bruchs Scotish Fantasy is of unprecendented quality and saying power. I think we simply do not agree on this and that is fine.

I will be going to Vanessa-Mae's concert in July at the Westonbirt Arboretum. It will be my 8th time that I see her live.

Anyway, imo, you're talking about your opinion, not about a fact. There are people, including myself, that do not agree with you. Facts are indisputable, in contrast to opinions and prefences that are open for discusions and different views. But you are, of course, completely free to your own views on this matter. I just wanted to express mine.
