@MrCavScoutout She only has a tiny bit of blue in those areas. She recently had an ultrasound as we thought she might be egg bound, and she wasn't, but had ovaries. she is definitely female.

I just got a Parrotlet a few months ago. He has major taming to do, but once in awhile when he's REALLY happy he does this on his perch! Thanks for sharing!

dont worry, she wouldnt do them if she didnt like to. shes very stubborn that way. she actually taught herself to do them after she saw a male Amazon do one. she did them on her own and we just reinforced it.

You should use a different tone of voice for different tricks... they respond to sound and tone rather than actual words.

Funny thing - Lexi started doing them after she saw an Amazon parrot do one! (she was in love with that parrot and he only did it once.. that was enough for her to practice it!) We just re-inforced the behavior. She will only do it when she wants something, though. In this vid we are shaking keys and SHE LOVES keys, which is why she did it so many times ;)

I am trying to decide what kind of bird I want and a parrotlet is one of the three I am considering.The other two are a cockatiel and a Quaker parrot.I want to know how much parrotlets like to be handled and if they are nippy.I would appreciate any comments or stories responding to this.If you have a long story about any of the three birds i listed u can just go to my channel and post a comment there.Its hard to make a decision when you dont know anyone with birds so you dont hear any stories.
