Being a star wars fan I remember playing age of empires many years ago and thinking how they could make a star wars version with the same engine/gameplay. And they did!!

It's a good game in moderation though as all the bleeps and blurps for the slightly poor sound effects get annoying and the overall gameplay isn't what I call really satisfactory but it's still fun. For me though AoE is still the better game. In fact I still find it the best game!

SO, I downloaded this awesome game but it is mute when I'm playing it O.o... Just ambient noise, the roar of an animal or the occasional explosion... The volume option is all the way up, and I've checked the sound folder, apparently it contains all the sounds but the game won't play them... Any help??

god i love this game. but one day it was filled with weird red and green dots everywhere. me being computer dumb back then and not to mention being a kid i thought it was a virus. I ended up breaking the disc :( I miss this game so much! one of the best parts was making your own scenarios and then highlight as much people as you could and hold down delete when they were all selected SO FUN! the little boy anikan was the funniest scream lol!

Ok the way i look at it we have 2 options. 1: We can both download Gameranger and play through there. 2: there is a way to play through our I.P adresses. one of us would need to create a game through the Internet TCP/IP connection and the other would have to join through the others I.P adress. I disliked AoE II because I felt like I had to tiptoe around units. For example, whenever I played as the Aztecs I never wanted to make swordsmen or pikemen because Central Americans in European apparel and plate mail just seemed stupid. But every race is skinned in GB and it's only like 6 bucks on Amazon. I have 12 bucks left to burn on a gift card and for that price it's a steal. I think I'm going to order it now.

I used to love this game and I still do. Its gameplay is amazing. They should make a Galactic Battlegrounds 2 or a similar game with better graphics. Empire At War is a more resent Star Wars strategy game but its gameplay doesn't give you the same feel as Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds.

the cons of playing this game is that it feel we actually play with computer...even though we are...

when I attack, the com's army was in chaos even when its larger than mine...especially their sith/jedi...we can kill the 20 of em using just 2 heavy soldiers...cuz it targeting the 2 at the same time and not one of the other...

basically, it was ok if playing with real players...

i love this game, my favorite race was the wookies they had some kick ass berserker's and there mechs were beast. i also liked the clones because you could get alot of upgrades that increased unit building and i would jsut spam clone repeaters. and online or playing against my dad i liked the trade federation becuase you did'nt need to biuld houses reply on your fav race's if you want :D
