Yea, I was there, and have a field recording of this... They cut out the very end where he goes...la la la la it such a stoney day I just walked around.... But then, this was a rebroadcast on WHYY Public TV in Philly. I rememebr the actual day aswell as the broadcast. Verrrry Tripppy! That's me at 2:43 taking the photo!
Yes! yes! yes! Plucked from the mists of time and obscurity. Who would have thought this footage existed? From another lifetime altogether.
This music set a new standard for me as 18 year-old questing to find forms of expression outside the boundaries of mainstream music and art. It has been a touchstone throughout the years. Thank you, Allan and Daisy. (and thank you stringbuster)
Oh man, thatzz amazing!! They could really hold it up & put it down live on stage, ....wow I'd love to see them do more of their songs, especially from the first album...absolutely brilliant! Thank U so much! Please post more!!
Thank you so much. Their 2 magically sublime lps were the most under-rated and unsupported in the entire Columbia catalog. Both lps have always been in my top 10. A couple of years ago John Lennon's birthday coincided with Columbus Day so I called the great radio station WMNF (88.5 Tampa) to request their version of Don't Let Me Down (With Ian Guenther LP) and Columbus Hits the Shoreline Rag (With Pleasure LP) and they accomodated! I know where Daisy is; anybody know where Al Frasier is?
finally the album "Fraser and Debolt" seems to be available on CD. Thanks goodness 'cause the 39 year old album has been played by 3 generations. Timeless.
Yes: "Wow!" and, if I may add a personal comment, no bloody drums -- great !

@brichism So it seems that Daisy Debolt has passed on. I haven't found any info yet but a mutual acquaintance said RIP on facebook.
