@LooneyTunesFan80 Yeah, someone writing this knows their WB cartoon gags. It happened in no less than four original WB cartoons; "Canned Feud" (WB/1951), "The Super Snooper" (WB/1952), "Muzzle Tough" (WB/1954), and "Hook Line and Stinker" (WB/1958).
@mangoliouskiwi It could have been worse. They could have been shown to be and/or look like clones of (along with Elmer himself being replaced instead also with) Johnny Pew, Roderick Rat, current Daffy Duck and Lola Bunny from The Looney Tunes Show 2011. XD
@ziwelpam They could never get away with that today. Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents are Seseme Street eppisodes compared to the cartoons I grew up with.
Basically, an attitude (esp. a positive one) or a sense of good feelings or good emotion that seems to radiate from one's body. Basically giving off "good vibes" if you will.
People ususally tend to think that if their "Aura" is strong, they get some psychic powers, but that's kind of a dim and completely groundless theory.
Buster and Babs: "Here Plucky, we're gonna give you these binoculars while you're in the middle of a city and can only look at other buildings. Then we're gonna beat you up because you were "surprise" a peeping Tom, even though you tried to warn us of danger"
Mm, a world of Elmer clones...le happy sigh...I would not mind a Fudd-pod invasion at all. *___*
(I know, I know, I'm alone on this. But come on, he's adorable..!)

@MortalAnonymous Just as long they are not fat Elmer Fudd clones like in the Old Looney Tunes shorts from 1941-42. XP

Just for the record, Jim Reardon, the co-writer for this writer, later became an accomplished director for The Simpsons.
So if Shirley is a nurse in this episode, does that make her a.... "quack" physician? XD

At the end why do all the purple Elmers have feathers?
TheDragonBoss 2 years ago
They aren't feathers; they're leaves. And the reason for that is to cover up their privates (since this is a kids' show, after all). :-)
