@22LIBtech Free Cydia app called Installous, install it. This allows you to get App Store apps for free. Once you've done that, search, in Installous, iVideoCamera. You shouldn't need to install a source in Cydia for this to work. If you don't mind spending a quid or two, just search iVideoCamera in the App Store.

1st. make sure you have the latest updates for your iphone on itunes

2nd - download blackra1n, just google it and you'll see a website with the download option.

after that click the file and "make it rain", once it installs on your iphone and reboots click the ap and then install cydia (the top option).

Once you do all of that go to cydia and search for cycorder and install.

For a phone that never was made to record video iPhone 3G gives good competition. 3gs is obviously much smoother though due to the 30 fps.

Frankly speaking I don't really care about the quality between the two as the iphone 3G still produces good videos using cycorder then a lot of phones that come with video recording.

The "lag" isn't caused by the difference in memory. It's due to the 3GS's camera being able to take 30fps compared to the 3G's 7-15fps(Darker lower frame rates). And the clarity when its taking a close up is due to the 3GS having the ability to do macro shots.

Also, the 3G handles long shot or medium shots a lot better because it shows more detail. The 3GS is not doing so well with long shots, it's doing good, and close up is excellent. But in a long run, I'd choose the 3G because of the detail with long shots or medium shots because I would be taking most of those kinds of shots.
