I am very close to the headlight and the enviroment around is very quiet. So the noise that you hear is the mechanism that moves something in the headlight.

hum, ok, I understand but there is 2 lamps in the reflector: one that is turned on in 0:12 seconds on the edge of the reflector and other in 0:29 seconds in the center of the reflector, there is 2 buttons to turn them on?
@chucrysle Bixenon projectors use a blinder that is moved out of the way when you switch to high beams, thus getting rid of the cut off line and casting light much further and higher.
The bi-xenon (as the same with the facelift A3 2009) have the same mechanism. The halogen light that you see next to the xenon, is used only for DRL. It is a lamp 21Watt, so it can't be used as high beam.
what's that thud song?

how did you can get flashing the light with xenon high beam? it's not suppose to be with the halogen bulb instead?
