  • This Castlevania game is my favorite in the series just for the reason that Richter is the main character, He is my favorite person the play in Harmony of Despair.

  • we still have this on super nintendo, but it was to hard for me when I was younger so I have never tried it. have I missed anything?

  • No Nintendo titles infesting the top 10?? let me guess, you are not an american :]

  • Faail even this is better than the #1...

  • i played it, and I agree it's much better than the snes version!

    BUT MARIA SUCKS!!!!

  • DISCO.

  • hmmmm.

    HYDRO STORM!

  • I hate those medusa heads !

  • this should be top 20 for real, either that or this list is shuffled.

  • Kick ass song.

  • Skeletons were a lot more proactive in their attempts to kill you in this game.. :-x

  • Ah the best version PC-Engine.

  • I Love Bloodlines! Or Divine Bloodlines! Or whatever it's ever-changing name it is now.

I just couldn't stand Blood Relations and Bloodlines Bequeathed,Blood Relations seemed awful to me due to the TOO MUCH TECHNO THIS IS NOT RICHTER'S THEME,but I had to deal with it,and Bloodlines Bequeathed was the best one...until it gets to where it mimics Blood Relations, that killed it...

  • @blazestrac Too much techno? I can't recall hearing any in the SotN version, but I do recall hearing some "techno like stuff" in the PoR version & the arranged version of it from the CV collection box.

  • @blazestrac Oh yea I forgot to say that it does has some melodies from Opposing/Divine Bloodlines, but to me it sounds like its somewhat mixed with Dance of Illusions, and to me it indicates in SotN when I fight Richter that somethings wrong, that I'm indeed fighting the hero of the earlier game, but why is this Dracula theme messing in with it? To me the song is pretty deep and dark because of this, but maybe I'm just reading too much into it. Try and listen to the SotN version again please lol

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • AnikiSpin

#1 is #1 for a reason. The music fits the boss fight perfectly and isn't nearly as awesome out of context.

I hope you have killed Kefka to know what you are critisizing.

  • this is bullshit

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, this music is sick.

  • Soundtrack #100 is better than Soundtrack #1

  • The # means NOT that it is a TOP 100...

  • You know it's a pity. The game has such great music, and is visually appealing. The gameplay is horrible though. If that was taken care of, it would be a great game.

  • Play Rondo of Blood, it's way better. The song playing is from that game anyway.

  • Yeah exactly ! Rondo Of Blood is way better but to much for the SNES to handle !

  • Aye. It's controls weren't as smooth and fluid as Super Castlevania 4. But hey, at least there was the Item Crash...

  • Impend (#97) is much much better

  • Thats probably why it ranks higher -_-

  • lol

  • Very awesome track.!!

  • Forget Alucard, Richter mode!!!

  • This is your 100th?

I'm just itching to see #1.

  • personally, i think this song should have had a higher rank. this music is so epic!

  • This version is OK, I just like the SNES version better, this game is fun, but I never got past lvl 2......Medusa heads.....

  • SNES Version of the song is better, try and make the tempo a bit slower, then you'll know...

  • Actually, the one released for SNES had a much better version of this song, so who cares what version it is, this one sucks! no offense

  • First of all, this is from the original Rondo of Blood, and second, its called "Bloodlines"...

  • Actually this is a remixed version of Bloodlines from Rondo of Blood. This version is more liked by may but the SNES version of Rondo which is this game here Dracula X is no where as good as the original Rondo in terms of gameplay and design, and everything else...

  • Are you sure man? Because this sounds to me like the original Bloodlines (no remix, from Rondo of Blood)

  • watch?v=U4lSjyREKaE

    try this !

  • Wow, this is pretty good. Never played the game, but this is good music.

  • No manchen, ¿cómo ponen esta música al final, en el lugar 100?, es de las MEJORES de CASTLEVANIA, representando al BELMONT más poderoso de todos..... ya que.....

Y por si no me entendieron: I think this song it's one of the best of Castlevania, I don't think it deserves 100th place, it must be in the first 30 at least.

  • ahh shit, i accidently hit thumbs down.

thumbs up on your comment man.

  • Ye the people that act like you are annoying its the authors opinion not yours. Judging from your comment rating you suck.

  • Fun Fact : The title music for Castlevania 64 is this tune but played solely on violin. It's ironic when the Richters aren't even involved in that game at all; only Reinhardt Schneider and Carrie Fernandez.

  • i loved that music, but the game was shitty (the SNES one) made me wonder if konami made it =/, the original one is better

  • man this theme has to be at least under top 50 positions!! X( X( X(

  • sounds like jazz jackrabbit =S

  • Agreed. I loved the music in that game. Alexander Brandon! (at least for jj2)

  • 0:24 MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA

  • That definitely ain't footage from Rondo of Blood. At least not the original version.

  • The footage is of Dracula X. The SNES Rondo of Blood which is an almost completely different game.

  • Yup, but i don't have the PC engine version of the game nor the emulator. But it's pretty much the same game based on the same context and the same story, but the PC engine version is way more polished

  • Good thing you can install the .WAD on to your Wii via Twilight Hack.

  • Oh lol. You do know that you mixed the CD version of the song with the SNES game, don't you?

  • @Top100GameMusic You could always use the psp version and connect it to your tv using an adapter.

  • @Shakai I may be a little late to say this but this is from castlevania dracula X.

  • @Shakai It's the SNES version from the looks of it. Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss as it was named in its Eurpoean release.

  • @Shakai This is footage from Dracula X on teh snes. Or Vampire's Kiss in EU.

  • @HimuraCruz That's four people who have told me lol. I tried playing this one, it wasn't as fun as Rondo of Blood.

  • @Shakai Agreed.

  • @Shakai Yeah, thats super castlevania IV

  • One of the best theme aver composed, but the video is from the snes version and the music is from the pc engine version.

  • awesome

  • KAWEZOME!!

  • Hey, I remember this game. I found a serious glitch in it though. I couldnt die in it.

  • yea, first time ive played this game, in the 3rd level i got glitched to the next level lol without beating the boss and what not.

i did the special skill of the axe item, after it i got hitted by a fireball and falled down into a hole. the character glitched down to the first map of the level. after it i got to the next next level. XD

i really dont remember it right, but it was something with the axe item, got hitting and falling down a hole.

    sry for my bad english.

    nice soundtrack! =)

  • Great music!! Luv this countdown, keep em' coming!

  • Ritcher = castlevania X??
