  • even if he was a blue belt that was very good work by you. well played.

  • Bad blackbelt is bad.

  • to you guys debating the belts and skills, this is denmark, the people there are very stupid, take it from me.

not flaming, go play with them in online games, they have no common sense and no intelligence.

  • spraining your fingers is normal with judo it takes sometime to get your fingers just to the forces of gripping, that will happen when you are judoing

  • that "black belt" looked like he hadnt grappled a day in his life he had a single at 20 seconds in and you can tell he doesnt know how to finish it

  • @l3054 he had the single leg but this guy was pretty much behind him at that point. You can't see the tiny details from a 3rd pov in judo or bjj. A skilled artist will make anyone look amature

  • @Momentimum you could go into a leg drag from there his position didnt look that bad also he just turtled and he couldnt really do anything this is one of the things i dont like about modern judo is rare newaza and you can just pin people i like using throws from judo but once i get the throw im concerned with finishing its sad that modern judo while exciting doesnt have that many subs i wish theyd change the rules

  • this is gravy -.-

  • At the end he said fuck Judo...

  • he did it like iAM going to end this shit

  • Guys, anybody can become a rank. The belt doesn't make the martial artist.

  • *dark

  • He is not a black belt he is a blue belt, the colors are just very dsark, the uploader of this video im supposing also made this mistake

  • @FoHawkS1 I haven't made a mistake. He was a black belt for sure. Read the info..!

  • @Zahrec Watching this video actually just make me understand the difference between judo and other forms of martial arts. I'm sorry it that it ended like that for you. I noticed he went in for that move in the middle there but you evaded it nicely.

  • @Mathem8tics At any rate, I have played volleyball for like a million years and I know for a fact 151,755 people haven't seen me do it. Sick!

  • @Mathem8tics volleyball was only invented to get chicks to play with you on the beach...it's not meant to watch

  • @FoHawkS1 In competition, you wear a red belt or a blue belt to identify your corner, like in mma, blue gloves vs red gloves

  • @FoHawkS1 where in the world will someone put a blackbelt against a yellow belt 14 kg above lolololo....you're right bro...this guy is a liar

  • Now isnt this sport like water....XD

  • i think his belt is blue

  • I HAVE A BLUE BELT AND I DO BETTER JUDO THEN HIM (BLACK BELTS)

  • fucking nice man

  • that way of performing kataguruma is not allowed anymore based on the new rules and regulations of IJF.......

  • Andy fik tæsk..

  • @mroyle88 if you look the lad with a black belt has a white belt over the top of his black and the other has red over his yellow!!! red belt always to the right of the ref white to the left. this fight is indeed a yellow belt vs a black!

  • @evanzie2009 Yeah, but I think we can all agree not a very good example of a black belt

  • There is no way that guy is a black belt, he looks like he just youtube'd some throws for a week before this.

  • "I have practiced judo for about 14 months" of course they aren't black belts!

  • High school wrestling is better then that! Are ya freaking kidding me? All that is just sad, with little action, let alone speed. Ya set up for an arm bar and never followed in the least. Grab an limb and rip it, real simple.. .

  • man this is not judo it is WWE!!!

  • Why is there in orange belt fighting a black belt? Lol

  • I dont know where he got his black belt from but he is terrible. You fought hard for a yellow belt.

  • @Judotrainhard not all black belts are good but i can see ur point however wat puzzles me the most is y is a yelow belt fighting black in a competetion wtf?

  • 1:30

  • Took that "black belt" long enough to actual get a point without failing and turtleing like a bitch

  • i like implementing judo throws into my bjj training but watching a judo match is so dull and unlifelike its a watered down art from perhaps the greatest martial art of all jiu jitsu, judo has its uses in a real life fight but only if implemented in a full roatation of other arts like boxing and bjj.

  • @DGK201 thats because ur not watching pro level this are just beginers or amateurs search some of the japanese judoka or dex elmont(netherlands judoka) or travis stevens or the brazilian judoka or the british etc u will be entertained thouroughly u see top class judo throws and newaza watching crappy matches like these will obviously be dull because they are not very good plus hes a yelow belt

  • @alphie10 ive watched it, judo is my fav thing to watch at the olympics. i also love koga his uchi mata is amazing, he made it my favorite throw ! however to me bjj is just more refined and complex in the ground game. its good to know throws but to me the ground work is the most important . i.e. gaining the most dominant position and finishing the fight. judo by deffinition is just a sport, though it can be implemented in a fight.bjj at the heart is a self defense martial art.

  • @DGK201 yeah you're right, in a street fight while "self defending", when you get smashed to liquid on the pavement by a throw like the one in this video, the most important thing is your ground work lol

  • @DGK201 koga's technique is ippon seoi not uchimata....and judo is a GRAPPLING ART its the same thing in judo geting the more dominant position both on standuop and ground bjj came from judo u should know that

  • @DGK201 Yeah, okay. It's hilarious you mentioned bjj, considering it has zero place in a real fight. Have fun trying to fight from guard in the street while your opponent simply jumps on you and caves your chest in. Judo covers takedowns AND groundwork, to make sure if it ends up on the ground, you're on top of your opponent, not sitting in guard like an idiot.

  • @jimthegreat1012 have you ever actually trained BJJ before?

  • @jimthegreat1012 another fanboy, bjj has all the place in a fight, i would never jump guard in a street confrontation however if i were to be on my back i would know how to free myself or how to reverse my position to a more dominant one. or if all else fails use submissions. your a fool for saying bbj has no place in a fight. ill strike b/c i have good boxing but i have studied both gi and no gi bjj so i know how to stay on top im more rounded in grappling, so just as a judoka would id use it

  • Nice one! Hey everyone! What are your favorite Judo techniques? Leave a comment on my judo video letting everyone know! I want to try starting a conversation on the best Judo throw...It's on my channel, feel free to take a look and join in on the conversation!

  • WTF? No way that guy is a Black Belt - his technique and balance is terrible. He moves like a fish out of water.

  • He was picking his moment, I'm personally a yellow belt and I've faught with people as high as Brown belt and have won because I picked my moment, 1 Ippon in particular via harai goshi Which I'm tremendously proud of, His movement was a little sluggish though in comparison with Black belts I've watched.

  • @FoneArc maybe he bjj instead of judo

  • @FoneArc In Judo - and Jiu Jitsu, from my experience - competitors don't wear their own belts when they spar because it is likely that both competitors may hold the same belt. Instead, they wear different coloured belts (in this case orange and black) so that they can be easily identified by the judges and the audience. Regardless of whether you're a novice or an experienced Judoka, you may well end up wearing a black belt.

  • @mroyle88 you have no idea^^ they wear a red or a white belt over their own belts

  • @FoneArc He can't be a blackbelt. Dans fight in their own competitions in europe.

  • @FoneArc black belt doesnt automatically make u great.

  • @FoneArc dude not every throw is good balanced i a fight... if you had been in some judo competitions you would have known

  • @FoneArc nah man being a black belt doesnt automatically mean he's a olympic level athlete

  • Lol this guy is a BB? I'd tap him in first 30 seconds for sure...

  • WTF THIS VIDEO IS A CRAP i would tap you both with my bjj skills

  • @MiKocwalk Ya sure. Check judo match rules, u wouldnt even get him to ground before u get throwed.

Also Bjj is mostly ground techniques, judo is 80% Stand.

  • @MiKocwalk dude not at all.

  • @petercaveney1 maybe ;)

  • @MiKocwalk haha what belt are you in jj?

  • @petercaveney17 im blue weight 85 kg thats bout 188 height 184 cm :)

  • @MiKocwalk see it's not about weight or heght but technique, see i'm 77kg and 183, so you'd have a weight advantage and i'd have the mobility advantage.

It's a funny old comparison to make which can't really actually be madehaha

  • @petercaveney17 u are partly right, because talking in judo or bjj weight doesnt matter its shit, it matters a lot

  • @petercaveney17 and yes i still think i would beat your white ass ;)

  • @MiKocwalk haha good :) showing a nice lack of discipline in bjj right now :p

  • @petercaveney17 showing my cockiness :D

  • Pretty average technique for a black belt tbh

  • how did he pick him up?? lol

  • that's a wwe move, not judo

  • WHAT JUDO FFS

  • Where was the Judo?

  • Cool

  • at 1 : 16 he could have won with an arm lock... he wasn't very focused.

  • @Otaku220K they dont look like they are black belts though :P

  • @smhatman damn right, if they are, then they are really slacking off.

  • @Otaku220K js u need 2 be a black belt to do armbars/locks.

  • @smhatman In Michigan you just need to be 16 years old

  • @dudehi8 o havent heard of that, here in california you gotta be a black belt which i think is lame lol

  • @smhatman thats a dumb rule

  • Don't worry, you beat the black belt 3x before he got to that if it had been a real fight. Ground n pound and soccer kicks would have done him in and you took minimal damage.

  • how is that guy a black belt?

  • @tthhoommaa300 if its french black belt might not be like the best were in british martshal arts it is depening on the style

  • @HOWZZ3 aren't judo black belts regulated? In holland you have to do an exam in front of a 3 man jury of the JBN (dutch judo federation).

  • @tthhoommaa300 nope not here well bot that i know off im a kickboxer and my trainner says just cuzz there a different belt dont mean its the same as ours unles its a british martshal arts but i dont no the way it all works propperly

  • Wasn't that a Illegal move. He didn't attempt a move and grab his pants leg and lifted him.

  • @MrFern410 it is now but it wasn't when the video was uploaded... thats 2008 i think around 2009 or 10 that the new rule came about grabbing and lifting the legs with out any pre-attack of the opponent

  • kataguruma isnt ilegal in european competitions as far as i know!!! keep working ur newaza techniques u had two really good chanches of working ur ground game!!! Good Fight!!!!!

  • I don't understand the rules to judo at all. Why did they keep getting up? I do jiu jitsu so the rules are very different. Someone respond with something please.

  • @Patrickmjett if the ref doesnt see something working on the ground, he will call a stop to ground work since judo is usually focussed more on standup. in judo matches, its usually the case. but i think the refs are starting to let them fight on the ground for a longer period of time nowadays

  • lol en lille dreng der praler løs i kameraet

  • I thought kate-guruma was supposed to be illegal in competitions?

  • you can't grab below the belt anymore unless Already in a combo, too many wrestlers bulldozing people, , yaa

  • @MrCliffDescent

have u seen the strikeforce grandprix heavy weight overeem and werdum?

BJJ kept trying to do single/double legs and fail miserably.. Overeem kept sprawling.

I find that the only way wrestlers win most of the time is who has the stronger strength.

  • @MrCliffDescent its not bulldozing, theres a good amount of technique in double and single legs

  • Man I train multiple disciplines including Judo for 9 years. For gods sake when people compete in a shiai and give you their back ATTACK! Enough with the pause in the fight. Unless the ref says "Maitte" you keep fighting. And being behind someone on the ground is an easy way to victory!

  • dont think thats allowed now is it....and who is talking about the french..french judo is gooood. well when youre actually allowed to do stuff

  • wasted my time

  • you've been training in Judo for 14 months and still have a yellow belt? it took me 4 months to get my yellow...

  • @TysonJMoch All clubs have different rules to get belts..

  • hahaa that was straight up for john cena the AA

  • nice, i liked it. :P

  • Ok I love watching sport, but I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish. the guys were goot wreastlers, but I didn't see much impressive judo happening. Oh well it was still a ggod show!!!

  • Not great technique on the throw.

  • Anyone know the name of that throw he used at the end?

  • @w1ngchung : Looks like a kata guruma to me

  • what a crowd

  • what a croud

  • Looks like an orange belt instead of yellow...

  • wouldnt it be weird if he was just like ARMBAR when the other guy was on the ground xD

  • @TheHowToGuy97 Not really considering the armbar is orginally a judo technique, haha.

    =-)

  • @JPBStory the armbar is older than judo... humans have been wrestling eachother since the beginning.

  • When all else fails, a body slam always works.

  • To be honest, it kinda looked like he was toying with u at the beginning...

  • yeah you need to mix up your technique a bit, it was a nice takedown but it didnt work a lot and got him some pont it looks like

  • Judo 20% technique 80% fixing your gi

  • @zapwatt omg hell yea. my last tournament the ref stopped us for the smallest shit!

  • @zapwatt go do judo and see if you can get through a week of it

  • For the benifit of everyone: 1:28

  • good slam

  • You sprained your middle finger trying to point it at him.

  • i think the black belt kinda sucked lol im shocked he won

  • @mmafan400 why would I tell you that I was going to break your wrist before hand. Yes, judo probably works too. I just think that if I was out in the street and a person, way taller and heavier than me tried to hit, grab, etc. me than I'd want to be confident in myself, and know that the martial arts I'm in works the first time I try, as long as I do it right and not suck.

  • obviously, those techniques don't work if it takes that long of just touching each other and failing at what your trying to do. To Shin Do Ninjutsu is way better, because if someone goes to grab you, you can break their wrist and take them down in 3 movements, and without even hurting yourself. It's hard to learn though, there's about 1600 moves.

  • @00hollister74

anyone who knows anything about martial arts knows it's not about the art, it's about the individual. If you apply judo in the street, you will still strike, and they probably won't know you know judo to throw them, they will be caught off guard if you're good enough. And I'm sure your wrist locks are very nice, however, if you told me you were going to break my wrist before hand, it'd never happen, just like judo matches, where you know they're going for a take down.

  • man you were up in the air ... u had the chance to roll and not to fall on your back

i know that you were a beginnner back then so

good luck and keep doing judo

  • i dont know how that guy got his black belt, he has loads of technical errors, 14kg is alot to give away so can understand why you might have lost by im pretty sure i would beat that guy im an -60 fighter but i am on the national squad

  • hey, what is best for self defense in street fights? BJJ or MMA? I am relatively small and want to be able to defend myself just incase.

  • @deathskeleton23 Mma definately. But thats hardly fair cause that can include bjj....also especially being a small guy bjj would be bad cause u dont want to end up ground fighting a big guy on the street, which is all that bjj goes for.

  • @DrVoltage1 um BJJ is meant for smaller people to overcome larger opponents so how would that be bad?

  • @nocturnal5150 It really depends on how much larger the guy is. If they are way bigger than you even with proper technique they could power thru alot of holds. besides that, if you wind up on bottom just try to clinch close so they cant post up...see how far you get if they ground and pound.

I'm not saying it would never work, and it can potentially win too, just chances are very slim (depending on how much bigger they are). With that said, BJJ is the best ground fighting system out now.

  • @nocturnal5150 I had a grappling only match 2 weeks ago with a trained wrestler, who was in the army and was in and out of jail a few times. Im 23 yrs old, 145lb and he is 26yrs old, 232lbs. I beat him 5-0, but he took me down and in good position every time. If we were striking he woulda fucked up my face really bad.

Im a Judoka who crosstrained BJJ and was training under ex UFC Shonie Carter. I simply had better ground technique, but he almost choked me out 2x.

  • @DrVoltage1 ya thats the whole point of being a mixed martial artist. I practice BJJ and i would never expect to beat someone with multiple disciplines without some trouble. i was simply responding to your comment about it being bad to have a larger opponent on the ground when thats really what BJJ focuses on. Its just one tool you should have in your tool box among many.

  • so who won u or the other guy?

  • aw... guess you made him mad? D:? who won tho?

  • lol he totally raped you

  • Good take down, I still wish that in Judo they would let the ground game some more time

  • @WildWilde They do, so long as your fighting, but when one fighter stands up and walks away from the other, they reset the fight. Had he stayed on the ground and gone for the choke, the ref would of let it go

  • buddy on the left (dunno if thats the poster or not) keeps going for the same Kata Garuma the entire match almost. Became predictable.

  • Leg grappling is now illegal, ransokumake from now on in Judo competitions. That obviously modifies our style of fighting, does it?

  • how come at 0:43 seconds when the bottom guy just lays there, the top guy doesn't take his back and choke him out?

  • ur opponent lost his concentration otherwise he'd never fell for this on. Always aiming for the same throw...he should have seen it comin'

  • What was the throw the end?

  • @RasAlGhul4000 Kata Garuma

  • wait...the black belt won...the smaller guy is the one who got thrown

  • nice job, not a really fair competition then!

  • you need to work on your stance. A wrestler stance would really help your judo game......Just my opinion

  • Looks like a bunch of shirt pullers.

  • @Payangma ok they youtube ( judo belt ranks ) and theres one on there with the name [monkeysee]

  • wait the small guy lost didnt he?? but yer agreed the black sucked balls

  • @Payangma Thank you!

  • [[[[[[ youtube these frinchie /user/monkeyseevideos]]]]] ( Az3trk ) hahahaha watch that clip head fuck he isnt even my teacher hummmm... but yet there is a purple belt rite in the clip hum hum hum life is a bitch i know

  • @Payangma hahaha ok you do know thay brach from one another rite??.... and there is so dude look up usjf.com

  • this is better then normal wreslting to watch and MUCH BETTER THEN pro wrestling

  • Black belt very unimpressive, lacks ground game.

  • i am not impressed by the black belt. the yellow belt was more active

  • neither of u are very good but that last slam was sweet, keep it up

  • Sahme Kataguruma is now banned as s direct attack...... Blame the Sambo players ;)

  • cool video!

  • you did good

  • hahaha owned

  • Comment removed

  • nice takedown

  • That was brutal, dude!

  • Is there a name for that throw he did? It looked more like a wrestling move :)

  • @Thelee456 It's called kata guruma.

  • haha the black belt is so bad ...

  • but u gotta admit the takedown at the end was nice

  • @CHILLAR123 Yeah? for example in 1:32?

  • HOw come the black belt is like a turtle so much? I thought that Judo had a very distinct belt ranking system that you really had to earn your belt .

  • you see? in judo, original and traditional judo im talking about, there were three colors. white, brown, and black belt. and im not exactly 100% positive, but i think when you mastered breakfalls, you went to brown (took me about 3 years.) when you mastered throws and newaza (ground fighting) which sometimes took 8-10 years, you went to black. now, i can get my brown beltin three years by just going t tournaments. a lot of places, including my dojo, just promote by tournament. to me,belt doesnt

  • @MrKodokan it took you three years to master breakfalls? it should take about 6 months and that would be attending just a couple of sessions a week.

  • You may find that a kata instructor will have a different opinion of the quality of your ukemi.
