  • Orwell? Try Huxley. Brave New World.

  • your not canadian-your chinese, dont get it twisted.

  • @1arcticcat1

Nationality and ethnic background are not the same thing, don't get it twisted. Unless you are talking about native canadians, people who lived there long before any europeans showed up, in which case you would be right.

  • in soviet canada, youtube tubes you!

  • Zionist Israel: The Key Players Behind 911 (Dec. 1, 2009)

    Millitary knows Israel done 911

  • very sad to arrest an innocent 15 years old boy, thanks

  • i was sick to my stomach when i seen harper paying his tribute to thr jewish canadian council... just as obama does to aipac if those lobbys have influence on interior policies they surely do on foreign policies

  • Is this a joke? There are muslims and arabs in Israel. What's this all about?

But... you want Israel to stop existing? Isn't that anti-semitism? But you feel comfortable with that?

Omar Khadr and his whole family should be in jail because they promote jihad, have fought for jihadists. Omar is a killer. Why bring him back?

You should be promoting canadian values, dear. Not supporting murderers like Omar Khadr, his brother and his father.

    Thank you.

  • can I have sex with you?

  • I have heard about Omar Khadr for a few years, but never bothered to listen to the story. I assumed, he was a terrorist suspect blah blah blah. Then recently I heard he was only 15 when he was arrested. That got me thinking... 15 year old Canadian citizen charged with war crimes? Has that ever happened before? Nope, never once in history. Then I watched "US vs Omar Khadr" and I felt sick to my stomach. Orwellian Canada, or Nazi Canada I'm not sure. But something IS VERY WRONG PEOPLE!!!

  • Indeed. the thing is, what are we canadians going to do about it? wait till the next election before we have our democracy back?

  • I never believed our elections were fairly held in the first place. I voted NDP, but it really doesn't matter who's in power. I mean if SHarper can easily dismiss Supreme Court rulings because of his personal ideologies, what power does the people really have? I believe nothing short of a revolution will bring evolution to our draconian system of hate and lies.

  • I believe that the PEOPLE should regulate certain authority figures with the same techniques as they regulate the people. The use of "as much force as necessary" and the threat of possible death would put our leaders in check and deter other people of power to be cautious of overstepping the boundaries of law or risk the enforcement of the PEOPLE. That will make the world safe from tyranny. Citizen Snipers to take out dictatorial, totalitarian, despotic leaders and their cohorts.

  • The case originally made for Israel was one of Jewish survival. They have always lived with antisemitism and Germany with many collaborators tried to exterminate them. No one did anything substantial to help them. A Jewish state with a powerful military was seen as the only solution.

That said, I support Palestinian nationhood. There is no reason why two states cannot coexist.

Is Canada orwellian? Given that you can make critical videos without censorship, I'm guessing that it isn't.

  • Well, who am I really? I am not some news person working for a corporation, but merely someone making a youtube video with a few hundred views. Things would have to be really ugly for the government to censor little me.

  • How about a few million videos with a few hundred views? And a few billion more web pages? Does the fact that just about any willing person has ready access to any point of view at any time just maybe, possibly enable us to escape the pathetically tired propaganda label of "Orwellian"?

  • Email that rat Jason Kinney and tell him what you think about him selling out his country.

    kennej @ parl. gc. ca

  • good.

  • If you want to see a real orwellin country, I invite you to come have talk... I'm from, I was born in a country live under a 1984 world. Sometime, victims are just

executioners not strong enough to impose their laws...

  • I'm sorry your ugly, I only listen to women if they're attractive. Hey it's not like im the only person who thinks this.

  • Canadian soldiers are dying in Afghanistan for "Canadian freedom" while their friends and relatives can't hear speeches when they're deployed

  • Canada is now more pro-zionist censorship than the USA

    (galloway incident)

now that's some sh*t for you there

  • A Anti Semite is not someone who does not like Jews, it is someone the Jews Dislike because they are not pro Israel,,,n it is true that people are self centered in a bad way, but the divide is by design ,disseminated by TV ,indoctrination's in schools ,govt employees swear diligences to the queen first n Canada second, ,if all people had facts the truth could never be a lie .

You really are a good soul,,Peace

  • There are really people out there who dislike Jews for being Jews, I know i am not one of those people. <3

  • Except that you rather conspicuously single out one minuscule state based upon a religion out of the many "Islamic republics" in the world. Or the many lands reserved for native Americans based purely on ancestry.

  • One world currency is comming. Take the RFID or dont eat.

  • Cool on the transgendered link. Here, we've close to passing EDNA, which is a federal non discrimination bill for Gays and Lesbians, and originally also transgendered, until our "Democratic" party removed it from the bill, in cohoots with their little shill organization HRC.

  • Well I don't think Canada is becoming an "Orwellian" state, if anything, we're (as in Canada and the US) at this very moment have more liberties than the past, but as with the past, we're continuously having these civil liberties abuses.

Galloway being barred from Canada, whist I disagree with it, that guy is a total fucking fake and it's beyond ironic that he was barred from Canada after advocating "limits to free speech". I wouldn't listen too much to him.

  • Galloway advocated for limits to free speech?

  • Galloway is very much of the opinion that free speech "should be limited", and is in full support of European Hate Speech Laws. (He uses the stupid "shouting FIRE in the cinema" argument to try to justify his stance)

  • there's a very fin line between hate speech and free speech.

Give an example, to back up the claim.

  • Banning hate speech IS limiting free speech. If a certain portion of speech is banned, it's no longer "free" speech.

  • no it;s not

    lets go with teh example:

shouting fire in a theater when there isn't one, is exercising free speech, and is perfectly fine? You're grasping for straws sir.

  • What do you define as "Free" speech then? Who gets to come up with the limits? Tyranny of the majority is still oppression even if most people are "fine with it".

  • commonsense defines it

anyone can go on Galloway's show and say whatever they want. As they often do

  • -commonsense defines it-

Talk about a beyond subjective response. Do you really have anything substantiative to say?

  • -anyone can go on Galloway's show and say whatever they want. As they often do-

You are aware he openly admits he doesn't take the calls of Holocaust deniers?

  • Making it illegal to shout fire in a theater when there isn't one. Is not only what the people want, but it's a great law imo

  • Yeah, it's so fine a line, it's not visible.

Galloway supported the arresting of David Irving in Austria, for instance, because of his position of denying the holocaust. (Which is actually a breach of ECOHR legislation, but, there you go. Wish Europe could intervene just that one bit more)

  • That's not true

  • "That's not true"

    Excellent response.

Really, how much of your energy did you use to bring up that astute retort? (Though, to be honest, I could have pulled a better line from a christmas cracker)

  • supporting a hate speech law, is hardly the same as directly supporting the arrest of the great David Irving. Galloway did not support his arrest, in fact he spoke out against it.

  • Anything can effectively be "hate speech". When Galloway blasts on and on about "Zionism", that can easily be construed as "hate speech", which many Zionists charge against him.

  • It's hardly the same as shouting kill all niggers

  • That's besides the point, there is no authoritative answer to what defines "hate speech", therefore, any legislation to ban it will never be fair. Plus, I'm of the belief people have the right to express whatever belief, even that tard Galloway.

  • You have to obey the laws of your land, they define hate speech, dont like it? move, or change the law

  • Fucking *headdesk*, you're not very bright. Just because nation defines something doesn't make it authoritative, you fucking nitwit. If that was the case, then Iran declaring homosexuality unnatural just makes it true eh?

  • That's your opinion. And it doesnt change the facts. If you want to change the laws in your country on what exactly qualifies to be listed as hate speech, then do so. That's how it works.

  • No, it's what's defined as "hate speech" that's a matter of opinion. So, if the UK declares speaking out against ZIonism "hate speech", (which could very well happen), would you support Galloway's arrest then?

  • You support a person's right to free speech, even if they want to shout fire in a theater. There should be non consequences for doing that?

Again Sir. There's a fine line between hat speech and free speech. HOWEVER, i see now that I was wrong about Galloway, and UI apologize. and I agree with you now, very ironic indeed. Despite disagreeing with the decision

  • -You support a person's right to free speech, even if they want to shout fire in a theater. There should be non consequences for doing that?-

Nice deflection. Why not answer my question?

  • I wouldn't agree with the law to begin with, so no. I also dont agree with many laws that actually do exist. My opinion on a law, doesnt give me the right to break the law, that if I felt so strongly about it, I would work to change it.

    now you answer my question

  • But you said hate speech is "defined" by the laws of your nation, and that you support the notion of hate speech laws. Then, in essence, shouldn't you support an arrest on Galloway if speech against Zionism is dubbed "hate speech"? I'd also quit the appeals to authority "YOU'RE NOT ABOVE THE LAW" type stuff.

  • You have to abide to the laws if the land. That in NO WAY means you have to agree with them, that if you want to change the law, then do it

  • -You have to abide to the laws if the land. That in NO WAY means you have to agree with them, that if you want to change the law, then do it-

And what exactly does this have to do with our topic at hand my buddling little authoritarian. You better take that advice if Gallowank is sent to jail and calls on his supporters to "resist".

  • it has everything to do with it

  • It does not, I don't have to agree with a law, NOR do I have to respect it being carried out, you dolt.

  • Just because you dont like a law, doesnt change the fact that it exist, and you have to abide to it, or face consequence, you "dolt"

  • God you're a fucking tard, since when was this a discussion on the repercussions of not abiding by a law?

  • -wow, you're joking right?-

No, I'm not. This discussion was about Galloway advocating limits to free speech, and with your red herring, are now turning it into "YOU GOTTA OBEY DA LAW LULZ!" argument. Fuck, you're a retard.

  • Shouting fire provokes a definite ACTION, espousing an opinion doesn't. (Unless, say, someone's retarded enough to harm someone because of an espoused opinion, but then, the blame is on them, and not the speaker). Plus, imagine someone shouts "FIRE" in a theater, to only be mistaken, and he's arrested anyway. The problem with your example is it's too sensational and too nebulous.

  • Plus, by law, down to health and safety regulations, people have to leave a building in notification of a fire anyway, so that's a dire example to begin with.

  • so you do support laws against some free speech

  • Actually, I don't, I think the fire example is a dire one to begin with, and I'm not even exactly for making it illegal, for an example I've given above.

  • And what exactly are you doing to make it perfectly okay to shout fire in a theater?

I suggest you put your money where your mouth is, and actually go and shout fire in a theater or two. and then you can protest your own arrest, lol

  • God you're a fucking berk, red herring is red. Stay on the topic or get the fuck out.

  • Look you stupid moron. Hate Speech is defined by each nation, you dont have to like it, but you do have to obey the laws of the land or face the consequences for breaking such laws, that if you are so passionate about changing the law and your refusal to accept it, or follow it, then so something about it to change the law. Or face the consequences, you stupid shit

  • Ok you retard, more of your red herrings.

A.) When did I advocate for breaking the law?

B.) Since when am I not "passionate" about changing certain laws of my home nation (mine actually has no hate speech laws, one of the few good points of it)

C.) The reason I was bringing up the subjective definition of hate speech laws (which you admit to being subjective, by it depending on the nation) seemed to have flied over your head you fucking retard.

"stupid moron", isn't that fucking redundant?

  • A) according to you it;s perfectly okay to shout fire in a theater

    B) You think it's bs that holocaust deniers get arrested (I agree)

    C) The only thing you've said that was news to me was Galloway flip flopping on Irving. Hate speech and how it's defined is a very old topic, so dont flatter yourself boy

    D) I'm getting very bored with you. and your lack of commonsense

    E) buh bye, I wont be reading your replies, so have fun tard

  • You prove you're a dense piece of shit.

Your A.) example doesn't count since I never advocated people yell FIRE in a theater, even if I disagree with it being against the "law". C.) was onyxmage you retard. Again, the reasons I brought up the subjectivity of it all fly over your head.

  • I lied, Im back :)

    A) you call names because you have a fragile ego and are out to prove to yourself, that people are wrong about you. It;s pathetic. I will treat you how you obvisoulsy want to be treated, which is why I call you a tard right back to you ;)

  • Your lame character assessment still has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

  • B) nothing you said went over anyone's head. The tittle of the video is "Are we now living in Orwellian Canada ?" which the whole concept of the orwilian state is that true freedom is being able to say 1+1=4 We all get this.

when you come back to reality, be sure and let us know

  • Yup, I see it still goes over your head.

  • what you think people are, is all you see

  • Ah yes, wise words to heed *rolls eyes*

  • laugh it up boy

I call it like it is

  • "supporting a hate speech law, is hardly the same as directly supporting the arrest of the great David Irving."

Er, you are aware that it was Austrian HATE SPEECH laws (Clue is in the name) that prosecuted Irving?

"Galloway did not support his arrest, in fact he spoke out against it. "

Incorrect. Galloway not only said he was in support of it, but also doesn't allow Holocaust deniers *FOR THE MOST PART* to come onto his show (There were a few exceptions, however.)

  • stop quoting me, I know what I said.

He spoke out against his arrest. I'll find the link.

you post the link where Galloway supported his arrest

  • "stop quoting me, I know what I said"

It's called putting points into context, though I know by now that context isn't your strong point.

"He spoke out against his arrest. I'll find the link.

you post the link where Galloway supported his arrest "

    WRONG, and proof: /watch?v=lLlSOXfEyO0

  • good timing. I just watched that. You're right, I was wrong. and I apologize.

  • Apology accepted. No hard feelings :)

  • Thank you, and ditto :)
