I love listening to and watching these videos that immortalize one who died far too young. Were Freddie still alive, he'd still be singing his heart out to all who loved him and still do. I particularly love his early period, when his voice was higher and sweeter than it became when he was fully an adult. But even the singing of his later years trumps just about every other rock singer before, during, or since Freddie's lifetime.

@bryonyz1 Are you kidding? His voice was higher and sweeter than ever in his very latest years.. Like his Innuendo performances.. He never sang higher than there, or even half as good.. I mean just listen to The Show Must Go On, for instance, or for his very highest non-falsetto performance, All God's People... His voice didn't deteriorate over the years, he only became a more and more advanced singer.. Of course his early years were better than anyone else as well

What a voice! I love Freddie's singing, but especially when he was quite young and his tenor was a little higher and sweeter than it later became when he was fully adult in the '80s. If he had lived, he'd still be singing and songwriting, as he was still doing that on his deathbed. What a sad, sad loss. At least we have these videos to immortalize him.

ANOTHER OF MY FAVES IS " see what a fooli,ve been I have a live version of it on a non official live CD that is so bluesed out with Brian playing very much not in his usual style and on the same CD it has a version of white queen that proves that queen did have a pretty good bass player when he could be bothered ! I cant remember where I obtained this CD or when but its great with lots of unusual live versions one of the best is the speaker killing Ogre Battle ! Think maybe I got it in Moscow

This is the closing track of the News of the World album and it is one song I never expected to watch a live version... on the show it probably replaced "You take my breath away" as the "romantic Freddie" number. A nice change of pace from the sonic attack of the rockers... a joy to watch!
