  • Daigo in translation means Hadouken spamer....

  • @3Natrium5Octane Learn the game before bashing a character...god damn casual

  • PLAYING GAMES AROUND THE WORLD AND GETTING PAID FOR IT !

r u kidding me who wouldn't want that

  • jajajajajajajajja daigo master

  • 素人にはこの二人お互いの何をよんでいるのかわからない

  • @2rumB yeah its a super street fighter 2 turbo trick. you can juggle 3 hits with mid punch in the air, and 2 super hits. its a 5 hit combo

  • 4:14 perfect example of safe jumps

  • Comment removed

  • @2rumB Yes, you can.

  • @2rumB Infact this is ssf2 and not sf2!!!

  • @NanayaGoroh2 It's super turbo

  • @ROGERDERBY yes friend ssf2t exact..hwr great combo by daigo!

  • Comment removed

  • And he missed his second chance from 4:28. Sad.

  • @SeventhSun u r a fag

  • Daigoat was perhaps hoping the Super bar would fill up and he could combo that dumb-looking airborne punch at 4:26 into a super fireball but too bad it was just nearing the brim. So near and yet so far.

  • @2rumB A lot of characters in SF can juggle opponents in the air, moron. Daigo fanboy, what a joke :/

  • @2rumB

You can, its just a little more limited. Its a SSF2 thing.

  • @2rumB I'm late, but, its called a juggle bro.

  • dam audience started making me say oooOOOooo too lol XD

  • Daigo was having none of it in the third set. He was all business.

  • Looks like 8 people want a fireball to the face.

  • @09102861 thumbs down for you.

  • @2rumB ive never seen that before and ive been playing street fighter since in the 90's

  • @bad901

    Only on SSF2T

  • @bad901 Ryu's jumping m.punch is a very common juggle. Bison can do it too. You can also juggle Vega's scarlet terror, and Deejay's sobat kick.

  • I think 00:27 shows the master's technique

  • @2rumB daigo is the Chuck Norris in SF world

  • ooooo ohhh OHHHHH

  • @2rumB Umm that air medium punch to air medium punch works everytime. That's just standard ST ryu stuff.

  • "ooooooo"

    *Golf Clap*

  • @suppaman12 Those two DIDN'T in the old street fighter which was the one I was talking about. Kens shoryuken can be juggled through a SUPER in HD remix, sagat you can freely juggle but no not in this one, you couldn't juggle either character..... LOL just fyi

  • that chun li is very good.

  • daygaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa yumeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • dont think daigo needs sponsors anyways, with all the tournaments his won, that kinda money would be enough for him

  • awesome chun ! daigo was trash spaming fire ball + tap throws

  • @StonedAssassinNZL yea daigo is a scub firebawlz allz dayzz rite bros

  • @2rumB

Bison can do it with his mp as well. I thought this was well known.

If you time it right you can actually hit them twice on the way up, then rejump and his them again in a juggle.

  • @ephekt420

Yes with Ryu you can double hit with 1 punch and hit them once more, and you can combo it into a super. Bison can do the same thing as well almost. He can triple hit the person, and he also do a super into a triple air hit.

  • wow great match

  • Yes, Diago's god at this, but I gotta give that Chun Li player his props.

  • I need more PARRY!

  • Super Turbo yes.... first SF2 game with juggles.

  • ha 1:28.

the important one is safe jump,

    not that air combo.

  • Comment removed

  • Yo, mad props to that chunli player. This was an exciting match, the essence of what SF is about.

  • oooooooooOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH!!!! lol

  • Haha wish I was there. Daigo ftw ^_^

  • Yes, Daigo does get paid to play.

  • @muc0rmuc3do both awesome, why pick and chose?

  • true

  • locomotion daigo

  • who is daigo¿??????????

  • @poi3: Daigo Umehara is a professional gamer from Japan who specializes in 2D fighters and 2009 Evo Street Fighter 4 champion. He became well known in the Fighting game community after winning the National SFA3 tournament in Japan in 1998. Been a professional ever since. One of the best Street Fighter players in the World.

  • who is daigo¿?¿?¿? ( chun li or ryu) lolll

  • @poi31: Daigo is Ryu. He's Ryu in almost all Street Fighters. Aside from Alpha 3 where he used Akuma and 3rd Strike where he used Ken. He plays a damn good Balrog (Boxer) in Super Turbo also.

  • He's not a professional - that would mean he gets paid to play. He's just a really damn good player.

  • @KikiDaiso

you really don't think they have prize money for winning national tourneys?

  • lmfao yah he does get paid lol .. ether by sponser.. that fly him to tournaments.. were he wins and gets paid... at every tournament he does money matches were he gets paid. and prolly gets paid by other means as well... the point is the man gets paid to play games

  • I think you're trying to deny something here. Does he really need to get paid to be considered a professional?

  • That is the definition of professional. It doesn't just mean you're really good, it means you earn money doing it.

  • Stop fucking arguing denialist. It's as if you're trying to say that Daigo doesn't get paid at all. He probably does get paid with all the sponsers that he's probably had. What? So Daigo pays all his plane tickets to and from every single tournament that he goes to?

  • I was merely stating that in order for anyone to be a professional at anything, they need to make money at it. I didn't say Daigo was not a professional. You asked "does he really need to get paid to be considered a professional?" I was merely confirming that, yes, he does.

  • You should have said that right from the start then. You know what? I'm just glad that this is over then.

  • @stretchypants123 lol who the fuck would sponsor a fighting game player. i can assure you daigo doesnt have any sponsors and he works a 9-5.

  • If you can get a sponsorship for playing basketball, skateboarding, biking, doing useless stunts like a flip with a motorcycle, and even writing essays to colleges about how "you want to change the world~ bullshit that most students do~" then you can also get a sponsorship for playing fighting games~ ;)

As long as you're good at what you do, I'm pretty sure somebody would support you. I get grant scholarships for studying, but hey, does that make any sense? I don't know, I just go along with it.

  • @polarity55 Mad Catz just announced that they signed Daigo to a contract. All he has to do is use Mad Catz TE sticks whenever he is playing in a tournament in Japan or in the States and whenever the company makes new sticks he tests them and gives them the ok. Nice little free check to get in the mail every couple weeks.

  • @XxSolidSnakexX Seriously, all I can remember from that company is that god awful stick for the 360

    watch?v=3dL75JG7Wp4

  • dont worry ull never ever know

  • The Best Street Fighter Player Ever.

  • @stretchypants123 he's one of the best, certainly not the best. check out tomo ohira here in youtube if you hadn't already. He's the best sf player in the U.S. back in his day. he's possibly and arguably the best sf player accdg to old school gamers in the heyday of sf arcade.

  • You just proved your point. Okay, if that's the case, then I'm curious as to why Daigo and Tomo never crossed paths despite their Street Fighting careers. Are they just oblivious to each other or something? Or is it just the fact that they have attended different tournaments at different times and just simply miss each other everytime?

  • Nope.D reason y they never crossed paths is because accdg to Jeff Schaeffer (also one of the top old school sf players.u can view his vids here at yt about sf btw.), Tomo quit playing SF after SF Hyper Fighting (1994?) since he concentrated on school and other personal things and since at that time prolly Japanese players still weren't coming over to the US so that's why these two great players never got a chance to meet. And as I recall, Daigo only first started coming to the U.S. in 1998?

  • Okay. You know your facts very well then.

  • Daigo Umehara is a famous Japanese video game player and is one of the greatest street fighter players to ever play the game. His fame sky-rocketed so as to say, during the EVO2K4 gaming event when he defeated Justin Wong in a very skillful fashion in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike with a tiny amount of life bar left with Ken, his character.

  • If you can play this well, SF4 must seem like child's play..

  • It seems like there is much less room for error in SSF2T as compared to SF4. The life just melts away in SSF2T....e.g. two hit combo at 0:55...ouch..

  • ohhh....Ohhhh....OH....OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

    Haha I love the onlookers!

  • I love it how the western world will find a certain aspect of the game and moan about it until it gets changed, or until the end of time, yet the Japanese take it as it is, and enjoy the whole game as a whole.

  • well taking it as it is isnt necessarily a good thing. Is it wrong to demand the best? Yeah people can get a bit ridiculous with their demands, but games these days need to be at their up most potential. No one wants to play a half-assed game.

  • @Philosopher954 you just proved him right

  • I really wasn't trying to be prove him wrong. I was just saying it's not so wrong to want the best. I will say that people can get foolish with their demands but as consumers, we buy things that are supposed to satisfy us :) Im just saying. Im not trying to start anything.

  • @keroberus2

How Do U Even Know That?

  • @TheFinderBinder

It's an obvervational comment. People in Japan still 'ohh' at a fireball fight, and players either fight fire with fire, or have a good go trying; you see Daigo beat people, or listen to any of the japanese streams, the audience is enjoying every moment of it.

Then compare that to Floe vs Yeb, the beastly match that showed Gen's potential.

Everyone was going insane watching Gen's combos, yet when Sagat won one full game with FADC ultra, the crowd fully Boo'd.

  • that's the match in case anybodys curious: watch?v=RBKbHHs319U

and yet i have to agree with you again.the winner is not the player that should have won, but the player that won.

  • lol that's...so true...

  • hes just to his on type of game play, japanese player are good players because they memorize patterns and glitches and know how to exploit them because they practice them until it's like second nature to them.

It's not that he doesnt care about the rules is just that he does it out of pure instinct sort of like a reflex if you will.

Americans sure know how to find excuses and mistakes on other ppl when they are being out classed by a minority.

talking shit aobut Daigo wont make you bter pyer

  • How do you think this match would look had there been focus canceling in it? xD

  • 1:29...

A sign that says that Daigo had something to do with SF4

  • that move was always there. I mean sf4 was based on sf2

  • I love the "oooohhhhhhhh" of the public, looks like a tennis match... or an uppercut in Mortal Kombat !

  • it's actually a very common juggle used by ryu

  • :O! i never thought i could do that. daigo is fucking genius

  • yep but then again why won't you try some of these moves and see how difficult it is to pull it off against a opponent of high caliber

  • Hahahaha. Gotta love the audience.

    "Oooooooo!!!"

  • That was some alpha 3 shit

  • The air combo was really nice

  • chunli mysteriously transforms to a male body when hit by a fireball

  • lol nice call

  • how could chun walk forward then do a super? teach me guys

  • Its called charge partitioning.

I'm not quite sure how it works in this game, but in the more recent Street Fighter IV. If your character has charge, if you dash forward and then do a following back-forward, that actually registers as doing a motion for your super or ultra. The dash forwards saves your charge.

    Thats how ohnuki did it.

  • this i knew. but it wont work in ST.

  • In ST some specials and supers can be "stored." Chun Li can do the motion for her super and as long as she never stops pressing forward she can walk forward for some distance before pressing kick for the super.

Honda's Ochio Throw can do it, too. Keep holding down back and you can press punch when you feel ready.

  • Chun-li has the ability to "store" her super. As long as you have correctly done the input (hold back 2 seconds, then forward, back, forward) you can walk forward. As soon as you press the kick button, her super will come out.

  • thanks, it worked!

  • To store her super this is how it's done on THIS game...

Back (charge), Forward, Back, Forward (hold), then press Kick when ready.

Holding the last movement will store the charge until you let go. Chun-li and E.Honda are known for this.

  • HADOUKEN

  • HCF+P

  • ohh...Ohhhhh....OOOOOHHHH xD

    1:29 is killer 4 real

  • Why do they keep choosing Ryu's stage for tourneys?

  • Theme is cool imo

  • It's random. They can't choose stages.

  • They are both good friends.

  • 1:29 pro

  • extremely

  • Daigo knows Ryu's spacing. That's what makes him so good.

  • 3:31 where is the parry daigo??

    uiahauihaa

    =P

  • this is the best super turbo match

  • 4:23 onwards, watch his safe jump set up, he does one, baits her upkicks, juggles her, hurricane into position, jumps straight up and safely times the kick again baiting her upkicks and he juggles her again lol !

A great strategy. His Ryu is very defensive actually.

  • I really should get laid.. :(

  • No rush, hadokens>vagina

  • lol

  • Leave the mouse pointer in position at 0:43

and keep clicking it lol oh..OH..OHHHH !!

  • Haha the game slows down too.

  • LMAO... thats sad, lol but funny

  • Tell me about it..

Although it stops being funny when the local sumo woman starts to look attractive and i haven't had a drink yet..

  • Love the crowd when Daigo executes that combo.

    ooh oooooh ooooOOOOH

  • That combo at 1:29 is just nasty. Very nice.

  • It is. You can't go back up for a triple/quadruple hit, but you can jump up and do your medium punch and hit them with the ultra as they're falling.

  • do you have to ask?

  • he toyed with that guy so bad

  • Diago is a beast at street fighter o_o His 3 hit air combo is incredible o_o

  • 42-46 ohhh!! ohhhh!!!!!1 ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! claps

  • daigo needed a parry in 2:29 xD

  • 15 parries =D

  • daigo is good man

  • 4:03

    Ghost Dash

  • #t=1m30s

what moves does Daigo use to juggle the Chun Li player in the air?

  • if you time it right, use a jumping middle punch in the air twice....

  • Medium punch.

  • daigo is the man

  • 0:28 :)

    That was some battle!

  • I love the crowd at the end of the first round, "ooo, Ohhhh, OOOAHAHH!"

  • Loved how he knew the when the fireball was going to disappear at 0:27 and returns a fire hadouken.

  • To all the Daigo haters out there: Daigo is the GREATEST SF player to ever live. Daigo OWNED SF champions from around the world and thats why most of them hated him because they could not beat him and they knew it. When he finally lost to Alex Valle at EVO 2K6 they all cheered because they wanted Daigo to lose however they forgot that Daigo OWNED valle in 1998. They forgot that DAIGO DESTROYED justin at EVO 2K4. LONG LIVE THE LEGENDARY DAIGO! He will OWN valle again in the future!

  • it's arguable, but Tomo Ohira (retired before Turbo) could have been the greatest. not too long ago, the 2nd best SF player from Ohira's time (Jeff Schaeffer) played some matches with Daigo and their records were even.

i can't say much else though, since it's difficult to compare players from different time periods lol

  • Valle beat Daigo at Third Strike.

  • So did KO.

    Your point?

  • I quoted c0m1c1nf0's post...

  • exactly~

daigo's a great player, but ppl just gotta calm down if he loses. valle and KO are great players as well!

  • during the last match, the chun li player was walking forward and suddenly did her super.. how was that possible?

  • nuki stored it. honda can do it too.

  • what do you mean by "stored it" ? i would like to know. (noob here)

  • You can keep the charge for Honda/Chun Li's supers by holding towards or down-towards or up-towards. For example, charge back for 2 seconds, forward, back, forward...and just hold forward and walk towards the person. All you have to do is hit the attack button for the super to come out, since the super motion is stored.

  • is THIS game the only game that allows stored motions?

  • I believe so. It seemed to be sort of a glitch, so they removed it in later games. I wish at least Honda could have kept it.

To be fair, the SF3 games have charge partitioning, which is a trick that allows you do do charge moves, dash, and then do the charge move right after.

  • looks like daigo never seizes to amaze me. great post.
