This is what I own, and I am proud of it !!! I once pulled my 26,000GVW (16,000GVW when empty cause it is a reefer) straight truck out of a ditch in between highways with this one !!!
Hi, how do you take your car abroad like that? except France of course (just catch a ferry). is it compicted or whatever? Im considering getting the new discovery as it looks so much better then disco 3 (with the body and wheel arch covers matching now). I will want to get into off roading and i need to know where to start really.
For Tunisia, catch a ferry to France, drive to Marseille, then ferry to Tunis.
For Morocco it's similar except you drive through France then Spain and then a ferry from Gibralter. Customs can be tricky, though - best to travel with experts like Offroad Essentials who have personal knowledge of Customs requirements.
Hi do you think a manual gearbox would be as capable as an auto box in a LRD3.Have you had any experiance with a manual LRD3.I am in the process of buying a LRD3 TDV6
How are the 4 aux lamps mounted on the front grille??? I've got an LR3 and would love to do this!

Manual is just as good - in fact I think it's better offroad, as it gives you much more control. My last D3 was a manual, my current is an auto.

Hi, what disco are these? Im thining of getting one for similar adventures but not sure which one to get. Are these TDV6 SE or HSE
schielem 2 years ago
One is an HSE, one an Irish spec.
HSE has glass roof and premium sat nav over SE. Either is good for an expedition. Visit the disco3 web site for more info.
