The settings is something you need to fiddle with quite a lot and it will depend on what you want to do. If you spend most of your time at FL350 then autogen scenery and traffic are not that important. For VFR flying though they make a nice difference. Just play around with the sliders to see what suits you best.

IFDG if I remember right makes a MD-11 with a panda on one or both sides of the plane. It's a Fed-X jet and your right. The looks of the plane overall just looks nice, when you have the right sound and all, when your sitting on the runway and wind her up, it's awesome, I have 3 pair of old Altec Lansing desktop speakers set up with their subs into my audio card in stereo with help from an audio friends and genius. And my desk will shake when this plane is rolling down the runway : )

yes if you want an boeing 737-700 from project opensky(just an example) paste it into your airplanes folder in fsx(posky planes are made for fs9)and delete the default sound and panel folder from your plane and copy your default panel thumbnails and the text into the panel folder from your posky plane and do the same thing with the sound.

You can buy add-on aircraft for fsx.. Ones you have to pay for are called PAYWARE aircraft. Such as PMDG(company) MD-11(Aircraft) FedEx(Texture) . PMDG is expensive though. about £80GBP for the aircraft then the textures are free. FreeWare aircraft is add-on aircraft available for free. This is on web sites such as AvSim or Simviation. Google them ;)

I have just installed the PMDG MD-11 onto my computer but once I load FSX and go into the create flight, aircrafts section the PMDG MD-11 is not a option (it doesn't appear). What is the problem, also where can i find liveries?

search pmdg md-11 it has like the real aircraft and you will find fedex liverie and if you want an older one the dc-10 then search commercial level simulation dc-10 and you will find fedex dc-10(old version)
