this commercial is so funny to me... i remember I saw it when it was out, according to this I was 14 lol and it made me cry haha I was like omg so beautiful and ice cream IS simple and so childhood summerish. However this commercial is used in a documentary on advertising in a comedic way because of how dramatic it is. we watched in my sophomore western civ class in high school (idk why? lol) and all my classmates laughed and i felt embarrassed for liking it when it came out lol

Yes it was. I e-mailed Haagen Dazs about the commercial and they actually said it was a European advertising firm that created this song. If you look hard enough on the internet you may actually find a 3 or 4 minute version of this song.

The track is called "State Of Grace" apparently.

@lavakava Unfortunately, if you want a great tasting rich ice cream, you have to have a high saturated fat content without compromising on flavor and creaminess. If its too fatty, than just dont eat it;) Ice cream is not exactly the most health conscious of foods. Their sorbets however, are more healthier.

I love how they synchronized the pictures perfectly with the music. They introduced the ice cream on the 7th of the key which makes you wait in anticipation of what it is all about. Brilliant!

This is one of my favorite commercials of all time. I remember stopping what I was doing to watch it when it came on TV. It would be nice if Haagen-Dazs really didn't use preservatives, but they seem to use them just like the rest; even Breyer's is using the very preservatives they made fun of in their old ads. Haagen-Dazs Rum Raisin is still my favorite ice cream ever!
