Hey, thanks for your comment. I was talking about the guy onstage with the laptop. He looks like he's doing nothing but he was adding in some extra sound fx while they were playing live. I just assumed he was adding in some drum loops when I heard Simon soloing... I've seen these guys live before, and yes they are all fantastic musicians!
Oh ... I don't know. I was at that performance and it was pretty exciting, and engaging. Never boring. And I don't mind musicians reading from a score. No-one complains when classical musicians do. It's complex and composed music, with improvised sections.
@julliardjazz He's one of the musicians, but his instrument IS the laptop... if you listen closely (especially during the drum solo) you'll hear some drum loops thrown in there...
Maybe he checks his stocks when he doesn't need to play though... you never know ;)
@metallicpumpkin I believe his instrument is the drums... and he's incorperated digital drums into his playing... This guy is a fantastic musician and the rest are amazing... you should check out the drummers stuff with this korean guy its amazing... NO laptops used either
Very good musicians, but whatta boring show watching a band, standing like a pole & reading a newspaper on stage,..didn't you guys have enough rehearsal time before gigging? sorry, no chemistry and engagement to the audience at all. People come to watch live music concert need to feel and get the experience of the way the band communicating and interplaying each other, rather than just listening a good music or chops. Where you guys from?
