How could the Catalhoyukites be depicted as ape=like brutes when they have to be portrayed by modern actors? These actors were surely recruited from Cairo or Istanbul. I think you guys are being to hard on this video. Neolithic humans were complex and they fought and bartered their women all the way up to the 1900's. Yes there were cultures dedicated to a Godness but also others that had a God or multiple dieties. This particular stroy of one set of characters in one particular city isn't the absolute way it was for everyone in Neolithic times. Chill and God bless. ;)

In archaeology there is problem how to present it's results to ordinary people and the only reasonable way is a RECONSTRUCTION. And this is exactly what this video is about. It tries to reconstruct a way of life in the ages long lost from the memory of mankind and represented only by preserved artefacts such as ceramics and stone tools.

@JustSpectre you have to admit, they did a very poor job of representing the inhabitants of Catalhoyuk. Biologically they are exactly the same as us, including intelligence wise, so why depict the inventors of civilization as ape-like brutes when really their genius has rarely been matched since. The population of ancient Athens was only around 15,000 whilst Catalhoyuk which preceded it by over 4,000 years is nearly half that size.

I don't know about pure fiction, some of it has a basis in the truth. But this is probably what is wrong with the American educational system - why aren't they showing the facts/finds that lead them to these beliefs rather than introduce this ridiculous hollywood style narrative.
