Knees follow toes! Thats what I've been doing wrong, I've had pain in my right knee for weeks and I think the problem is I was keeping my knees in too tight. Moved them out to follow the toes, no pain. Thanks for posting this.
Deeper squats are a must!..If you get use to doing half squats or 3\4 squats and you start using heavier wieght you will not be as strong as you are when you go low...and then you will be in big fucking trouble if you are half squating 250lbs and can only deep squat 90
@DameCahill yeah fucking tell me about it! i did like half/3/4 squats when i was a freshman and sophmore because i rly didnt no any better. so i had to work legs so hard to be able to deepsquat
@bjivner I thought bending the knee below 90 degrees put pressure on the knee joint..? When you set up your bicycle your knees shouldn't bend that far because it puts strain on them? I thought anyway. Everyone I know bends them further put they all have clicking knee caps!!

ATG squats for power. "Parallel" squats for ego stroking. Simple as that.

A deeper squat will actually put less pressure on your knees. The point at which the most pressure is exerted on the knee is above parrallel
bjivner 2 years ago 28
@bjivner I think is the contrary. Where does all the pressure go then when you go deeper? Most of it on the knees.
